When the orderly brought Hawkes back to his room, Mac was waiting by his side.
"Thank-you, said Mac. "Hey partner, great to have you back". "I know you can hear me Hawkes". "I also know, you can squeeze my hand, just try it Hawkes, feel my hand, Squeeze it tight". "Come on Hawkes Squeeze it, just once".
As MAc waited, he felt the lightest touch against his hand.
"I knew you could do it Hawkes". "Try it again". "Squeeze Sheldon, hard as you can".
Once again Sheldon squeezed his hand lightly.
"Good job partner". "You are going to be fine". "I'm right here if you need me".
As Mac went to release his hand to sit down, Hawkes squeezed it tighter, as if telling Mac, not to let go.
"It's okay Hawkes, I'm right here". "It's okay".
Meanwhile....
Danny dropped Lindsay and DJ off at Stella's while he went to visit Hawkes.
"Owwe!!!! "That must have hurt Danny".

Flack had got a call from his officer's who had picked up a drunk driver over on 42nd street.

"Yes Sir", "We have the car, with the smashed front end and blood splatter".
"Okay, take him into custody, I'll be right there".
When Flack got off the phone, he called Mac.
"Hello"!!, said Mac.
"Mac, it's Don, we've arrested the driver, we have him at P.D. with the car".
"Are you possitive, he's the driver".
"Yeah"! "He was found passed out in the front seat".
"Okay, I'll be right there".
"Listen to me Sheldon", "We caught the guy who did this to you, now you need to fight". "When I get back, I want you awake, do you here me, I said awake".
With one last squeeze to Mac's hand, he left.
"Danny, you stay with him till I get back".
"You got it Mac".

Once Mac arrived at NYPD, he was just about to storm into the interrogation room, when Flack stopped him.
"Mac, you can't go in there like that". "You need to calm down". "The guy remembers nothing of last night".
"What "!!!! "And I should care"? "I don't Don, he left a member of my team to die in the street, in the street Don, so tell me to relax".
As Mac headed to go into the room again, Don stopped him once more. That's when Mac lost it. Taking Don by the collar's , he pushed him up against the wall and said........
"Stay the hell out of my way Don". Tossing him aside, Mac stormed into the interrogation room.
"You"!! "You low life drunken bastard". "You left a member of my team to die in the street". "Don't give me the shit story that you don't remember, because I know you do". "Now start talking", said Mac, as he threw the chair.
"I'm sorry, said the guy in the chair". "I paniced, I seen him crossing but I didn't stop, I just wanted to get too the next drink". "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit him, I'm sorry" *Tears*.
"Don't use your God damn tears with me, they won't work". "My guy is the Hospital, hanging on by a thread, and all you can say is you're sorry". "I'll see you get life", and if he dies, I'll make sure they bring the death penalty back just for you". "Get him out of my sight Don".
Meanwhile......
Don called Stella.
"Hello"! said Stella.
"Stella, it's Flack. "I need to let you know that Mac is bad shape".
"What do you mean Don"?
"We caught the guy that hit Hawkes". "Mac went nuts". "he got the guy to confess".
"Well that's great". "What's the problem than"?
"The problem is he's a hairs breath away from snapping".
As if on key, Mac stormed through the door. Stella knew that look, she had seen it only twice before.
"I'll call you later Don", said Stella.
As Mac stood there and stared, Stella walked up and brutally kissed him, the kind of kiss that spoke of anger and rage. As they tore at each other stroking and petting , claws scratching as Mac screamed from the pain and lust of his wife's nails, until he exploded inside her heated womb.
Laying quietly in each other's arms, you could faintly hear Mac cry, as Stella held him and told him to Shh!!.
Meanwhile....
Danny was talking to Sheldon about the case.
"Listen Sheldon, Mac just called, he's coming by shortly to see you". "He told me, to tell you that you better be awake". "So"!! "Come on Sheldon, open those big brown doe eyes". "Christ, did I just say that"?
Danny could have swore, he seen Sheldon smile.

This time Danny knew he wasn't seeing things.

Caroline and Flack were starting on their Nursery for thier baby.
"What do you think love"? Yellow with green duckies or green with yellow duckies"?
"Neither Don, I think we should leave the walls until we find out what we are having".
"Okay sweetheart", "We can do that". "How about we go out to eat".
"Now you're talking, let's go", I'm starving".
Meanwhile....
"How do you feel without the breathing tube Sheldon"? asked Mac with concern.
"Better", still a little dry throat though".
"That will take a while to clear up". "We should know alot more by tomorrow, they're going to be sending you for a full MRI".
"I heard". "Did you get to meet my mom and dad"?
"I did Sheldon", they were very nice".
"Did you need to use your authority over me with them"?
"That I did Sheldon". "They needed to drain the fluid from your spine, but your parents said no". "the doctor informed me that you would die if it wasn't drained". "So I had to let them know".
"I understand". "Thanks for saving my life".
"No thanks needed Sheldon, I'd do it again in a minute". "You've become to valuable to our team, we all need you".
At that moment Hawkes parents walked in.
"Hello Mr&Mrs.Hawkes", "It's nice to see you again". "Hawkes, I'll be back in the morning for your MRI".
Hawkes shook his head yes, as Mac left the room.

Stella was playing with Mackenzie and Michael , while Maddy watched in her little chair.

"Yes Mackenzie, that 's a beautiful castle of blocks you've made".

"He should be home soon sweetheart".
Just at that moment Mac walked through the door.
"There is my babies".
"Dada, dada", yelled Mackenzie and Michael.
Mac picked up his daughter and swung her around like an Airplane, as she giggled and laughed. Putting her down, he picked up Michael and did the same thing. After putting them down, he picked up Madison.
"Hey my little Maddy", "How is daddy's other girl"?

"How are you feeling now Mac"?
"Much better love, though my back is killing me".
"I thought it might be", "Let's see how much damage, I;'ve done this time".

Mac was getting heated and Mr.Jolly was getting excited. "Behave Stella, I can't contain him tonight".
Stella made little butterfly caresses across his back, as he hissed. "Damn you Stella, you're asking for it".
*Giggling* "So tell me Sir, what would you like your naughty Minx to do too you"?
Mac laid back on the bed, with his legs apart, as Stella gave him that heated look that said I'm coming for you. As she slowly crawled up on the bed.
"Yuuuuuummmmyy"1!!! said Stella as bit.

"Stella wants to be naughty Mac, you need to spank Stella hard".
Mac knew he couldn't take much more of her behavour.

Stella grabbed at his hanes and pulled them down, and without a word she had him singing in Sohprano, all night.

Mac could see fright in Sheldon's eyes.

"I've been trying to keep it quiet Mac, but I know they will figure out today".

"That I can't move my right arm or leg".
"What"? "How long Sheldon"?
"Since I awoke", "I keep trying but nothing moves on that side".
"It's going to be okay Sheldon, just relax and I'll get your doctor".
As Mac returned with the doctor, Sheldon was trying to sit up.
"Good morning Sheldon, how are you today"?
"Frusterated, I can't move my right side".
"Okay I need you to relax, the orderly is on his way to take you up for your MRI, we'll know more shortly".
Meanwhile.......
Caroline and Flack stopped off to see Stella, before they left for their long awaited Honeymoon.
"Hi guy's", said Stella, come on in".
"It's really happening this time", said Caroline with excitment. "We are off to Hawaii for two weeks".
"Good for you, you both need a break, and make sure to have fun and take lots of pictures".

As Flack and Caroline were waiting for their flight to take off, they were talking about what they'd like to see first. Just as they were getting ready to make a list, the plane took flight in the air. Sitting back and enjoying each others company, the plane started to shake.

"Not now Sir, please put on your seatbelt".
As they put on their seatbelts, Don knew they were going down.
"Listen sweetheart, I love you very much, grabbing her hand.
"We're going to crash, aren't we Don"? said Caroline in tears. "What about our baby Don, we will never see it , or hold it, or love it".
"Shh!! "It's okay love, try and relax". "Just close your eyes and think of the two of us together forever.
