Totally true wolf. I want Obama to win. Not because he is black. But because he offers a change that this country so desperately needs. I also believe that he will give the young people in this country hope. Hope that they could do things that people often told them wasn't possible. I know it sounds corny, but I'm totally serious.

Exactly the same reasons I want him to win too. The country is stuck in a rut and needs the extra push to get out. And hopefully return to the glory days of when America wasn't looked at like they didn't know what was going on or what they were doing.

I agree. Obama has this JFK allure to him. You know? I just hope it doesn't have the same result. Something we all can agree on is that Obama's life is always in constant jeopardy every time he gets on a stage and speaks. It's scary the lengths people will go to.

Indeed. Going off the JFK example he was out for a parade and someone shot him. Lincoln went out for a night at the theatre with his wife and was shot. Even the Pope has been shot at is his Pope-mobile. Sadly some people think this is the way to solve issues but it's really just going to bring more. Thankfully the secret service is on their toes and usually catch the perp before something happens.

On a happier note I saw a huge, and by huge I mean it takes up the entire front lawn of the property of my neighbor, Obama Biden sign on my way to school. Put a smile on my face.

Oh really?! That is awesome! A friend of mine painted a 10 foot by 10 foot picture of Obama and it's pretty darn good! I love how creative people get around this time. I love when people show their support in funky ways. It keeps it interesting.

On last nights debate, Sarah Palin came across like Mary Poppins with frosting over the top of a half baked cake:wtf: and the down home malarkey was a turn off, she sounded rehearsed, and like she memorized all her lines, and I still can't get over her out dated hair do, and talked incessantly about Alaska. And the comment about "going to a kids Soccer game, and asking the parent next to you about this economy mess" no parent I know, talks about that at their childs Soccer game:wtf: their watching the kid play.[I was just at a soccer game] For me, half the time I had no idea what the H--- she was talking about. Joe Biden a seasoned politician was better, talked the talk about important issues, and knows the deal, although he was a bit off the mark on some things too:rolleyes: but he's very likeable and nice smile. The real deal will be the debate between McCain and Barack Obama ~the latest polls as of today~

I disagree. I think Biden came off very "robotic" and I found him hard to listen to. Whereas Palin had a likeable quality to her debating that didn't turn me away. And about her sounding rehearsed, would you rather have somebody sound horrible and reading straight from the paper because they never practiced? She probably did rehearse, and thats good. She hardly needed to read off of her paper so it made you feel like she was talking directly to you, to America, like she should have been doing and sometimes to Biden, to get a point across. I guess it's all just our own opinion.

I agree with you on that, it should be exciting. :)

I think that it was ridiculous that the debate was like a chess match. Both candidates should have come out swinging, not having a tea party. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I wanted a fight. I just wanted the two of them to fight for what needs to be talked about and to debate about the mistakes that both of them have made.

Palin is a droan, IMO. Plus, she looked as if she was bored. Her eyes were bouncing around everywhere. From the camera to her note cards, the crowd, ceiling, etc.

Biden didn't do as good a job as I had hoped he would. He was too busy trying not to make the little girl cry.

She just comes across to me as a two-faced phony, and the home-spun rhetoric , nauseating, winking into the camera just didn't get it for me. I like Joe Biden he's neat, & smart, and I think they will do great together as a team Obama/Biden YES WE CAN here's a link from a family member sent to me about Palin.. FUNNY:lol:

DEBATE FUNNIES ABOUT PALIN

:( Sarah Palin has hit a new low. It appears 2004’s “Swift Boat Veterans” who lied about John Kerry’s decorated service in Vietnam, and helped win the election for Bush, are now writing Palin’s speeches. Her latest speeches maintain that Obama has a terrorist supporter. Looking at the facts, one finds a member of the sixties' Weather Underground, a violent anti-war group, served on several committees in Chicago with Obama. Period. No other ties found. I guess when you’re behind in the polls, just lie about your opponent. I had some respect for Gov. Palin. Now, as far as I’m concerned, any credibility she had is gone. She’s not stupid; she knew she was telling a virulent lie and went along with it. Where’s your honor, Gov. Palin?

Tciddaisc even though you can't vote, at least you are concerned with what is going on in the world. I wish all of the youth your age was as concerned as you are.

:) I try. Although I'm more interested in the economy since my uncle works for Wachovia.

About Palin, I personally think that she's probably a very nice person to meet, but wouldn't be a good vice president. And I don't blame her for that, not entirely. She's a governor of a state with a relatively small population. Going from that to potential VP is a major leap. I really wish that we knew more about why McCain picked her, because I'm stumped. And now, with the "she's not really doing a good job" stuff floating around, I blame McCain before I blame Palin. Some claim that she should be able to handle it because she accepted the position, but she shouldn't have been offered the position in the first place. I see her as a soccer mom in politics that got pulled into a larger world than she can be a part of. Maybe I don't know how politics work, but that's how I see it.

See this is what I find ridiculous, because of the color of the mans skin and what he grew up believing in,people accuse him of being associated with territory. There was something on the t.v last night an interview with Obama, now I only caught part of it but the most I saw he talked about how the country is still divided, and it's true. The country is still racist.

I can vouch for that part because my skin matches the color of Obama's because my father was black and my mom is white, exactly how his family is and I still get security guards following me around in stores until I stand by my moms side. That's what most of the voters are acting like, security guards who think Obama will do something like still our countries freedom away.I honestly agree with something I herd,if Obama doesn't get elected then the rest of the world is going to believe that America is the same racist country it was two hundred years ago.

All I"m saying is the color of the man's skin shouldn't reflect who he is or who he use to be around. If people can't see past skin color then this country is seriously going to have problems in the future when it comes down to presidential elections, cause who knows maybe in another four years it will be two African Americans running for president or three.

On the interview anything I saw was he talked about how his family was and he wouldn't have it any other way, then to be with his wife and have his two daughters.I don't see a terrorist associated person talking about family the way he did.

Okay now that is honestly Hilarious!

futurecop, I know exactly how you feel. I am also in the same boat as you are and it's sad that the election has come down to race, something the man couldn't even control. Even if he could control his race, I would almost bet he would'nt change. I think the hardships he's experienced from being of African american descent has made him the way he is now.

I totally Agree with you kimbo I bet as well he wouldn't change.I can say all the hassle I've been through growing up because of African American decent that it's made me who I am today.I wouldn't change a thing about me or my parents.I think he is a role model and Hero just like Martin Luther King Jr. He wants a change and that's something America needs is change, and a lot of it.

Just a heads up about Obama and his ancestry, his mom was born in Kansas, and was white, and he was raised by his white grandparents, his grandma is still living and he adores her. I get tired of all the references about him being 'black" he is, but only half, and that's beyond cool, and BTW his IQ is 133, a very intelligent guy:thumbsup:and glad you registered to vote future_cop HOORAY:)
