As I've said before I am an Obama supporter, though I barely made it to the age to vote a week ago I don't think I'm registering yet to vote,I watch it and all but I'm not ready to throw myself in all that.
Please, you only have a few days to register. Have you seen the latest
ad with many celebs your age as well as older ones making the point if you don't vote you have no voice in anything. Doesn't matter who you support, it's the responsibility that goes with the privileges of living here. And it is a lot better here than in places like Darfur.
I honestly would sign up and fight for my country, and for our freedom.
I would have lat year but my family gave me a big NO:scream:
As a military veteran, I'm with your family on this one. Fighting for your country and fighting in
this war are two different things.
Going after Obama in the Afghanistan area is a right thing, but the Iraq war is just wrong. Iraq, unlike our friends across the border in Saudi Arabia (15 of 19), had none of their citizens aboard the three 9/11 planes. Iraq also had little relation to Al Qaeda until after we invaded.
Wait until the insanity lessens then join, or do a year with one of the public service organizations like City Year.
There are so many domestic problems which also threaten our nation's security. And every citizen should do something for the nation. Plus, if, as your screen name implies, you do intend to become a cop, some volunteerism would probably look good when you come up for the mandatory psych exam (my niece's husband is going to police academy next year, so I know these things {lol})
Love your avi and banner. Beautiful city once the traffic fades away. When I visit NY, I always put enough money aside to spend a night at the Mayflower because it overlooks Central Park, costs less than the neighboring hotels, and has the most amazing skyline views! Got some good pics out my window!
