I think I might go check out this Greek airline service this weekend. I cannot remember the exact name of the business but anyway, if they know anyone in my family I have a slight feeling they'll hook us up with a discount. In our community if you know each other you'll get hooked up with something, somehow :lol:.

My bf's dad works for Air Canada but you don't like that one and her dad's an a**hole so he probably wouldn't get us cheap tickets anyway. So ya, we'll go with yours :lol:

Also, if they serve Greek food on their flights, Im so there! :lol:

:lol: That was funny, MrsG! It's a good thing that I don't have a complex about my height. ;) I think that midget dancing will rock. I am all over that action.

Also, I checked with AAA today about rates, and the agent stated that approximately 90 days before we leave is a good time to get a a good rate for a ticket. These airlines have sales at such different times and you have to watch them. So I will keep checking, but probably won't buy until late April or May. As it looks right now, it was almost $500 for a round trip flight if I bought it today. No way am I spending that when I am only flying halfway across the US. :p

Mrs.G - how long do we have before we need to make a final decision as to whether we're coming or not? For those of us overseas we need the time to figure out if we could afford it, or if we're lucky enough to win lotto

Short people make good entertainment :p. Seriously though I don't think I'll be bring my four inch heels. When I wore them when I was an inch shorter I was about 6 feet tall :lol:.

Haha sounds good.

Sadly airlines don't serve Greek food on their flights & even if they did it would probably be so crappy :lol:. But yeah, my mom owns & works in a Greek bakery so I can hook you up with pita bread & perhaps some tzatziki & baklava ;). Maybe even tiropita or spankopita. Sadly no saganaki but I can make it in LA although the smell of the goat cheese will stink up the place :lol:.

Ok, since everybody knows I've never flown that means I am totally clueless about the new rules and stuff since 9/11. Where do I find info on what I can take and what I can't and what I can carry-on?

I feel like such a dork not knowing anything about flying. :rolleyes:

Even though I'm not a part of this LA get together, I do have some advice for checking airline ticket prices. I read an article that says airlines can use the cookies on your computer to see if you've checked other companies, and if you have they start charging more. I'd recomend delieting you computer's history and cookies inbetween searches.

I'm not sure I understand what you just said, Calihan...the airline sees that you've checked other airlines and so raise their price? That doesn't sound very competitive seeing as how most people would then go back to where they found a cheaper price.

^^I don't think I get it either Bitten. :confused: Why would they check your cookies and then charge more?? That doesn't make sense. I'm definately not gonna buy tickets from an airline that charges more.

I don't know about your computer, but mine stops sites from accessing information on my computer and it alerts me when someone tries. Besides, I haven't looked at the airlines. I've been on other sites like priceline and travelocity but I'm just starting my search.
