Ok, this is totally random and kind of off-topic, but I thought you'd get a kick out of it.

I was on the main forum page, about to click into this thread, and I thought 'oh look, a new post in the AJ thread, I'll have to read it.' Then I click in here and read this:

Porn, trashy lingerie, strippers, hiding out in celeb bushes(what ) sound like my idea of a good time....hope I can make it!

And was utterly confused. It took my brain a minute to remember that I'd clicked on the trip thread instead of the AJ thread. I was about to ask what porn and trashy lingerie had to do with AJ, and immediately demand more information. :lol:

And now I'm going to go take a nap or something. :lol:

That's because I'm 40 going on 24. Age means nothing to me, it's how young you feel. Or is that just an excuse when you get old?

I will not be getting any tattoos (I'm old enough to do whatever I want, but I lack the balls to actually get one ), and I'm sure as hell not shaving any part of my head.

Then you can watch them poke me with a needle. :lol: Neither one of us is shaving any part of our heads.

Will we be hiding out in Carmine's bushes with JKladis? Is Carmine's bushes big enough for all of us and will JKladis share? Maybe we can just overtake him and throw him out of the bushses.

There was something else I thought of that I'd like to do but I've already forgotten it. Maybe I'll remember it later. Who's planning our activities? Top...MrsG. Could they be posted on here because aside from the strip club, porn shop, shopping, 2am drive thru runs, and Santa Monica Pier, I've forgotten what else was mentioned.

I was also considering getting a tattoo... someplace hawt. I know what I want, but will have have to search out a design.

Of course, 1CSIMfan, you're going to have to make sure that I'm not actually drunk at the time that we go do this

Glad you were able to convince your hubby that a trip to LA is in order. I think we'll all be owing the city of LA a giant public apology after this trip.

...as long as we aren't attacked by any "Promises" escapees hitting our vehicles with umbrellas .

Fast food's fine; just make sure there's no tail sticking out or beady eyes looking back at you before you take a bite .

By the way, can we add rehab centers to our list of places to visit? We may need that list if anyone shaves their head or gets bad ink.

Who's planning our activities? Top...MrsG. Could they be posted on here because aside from the strip club, porn shop, shopping, 2am drive thru runs, and Santa Monica Pier, I've forgotten what else was mentioned.

Top and I will be putting together an itinerary and posting it probably at the end of the month to see what activities people want to be included in and which they'd rather skip for the purposes of making reservations. Add to the above list a hike near the Hollywood sign, probably some shopping, a studio tour and hopefully a tv show taping. We'll also come up with some fun restaurants, a good club of the non-strip variety and some non-club nightime activities.

I'm just impressed jkladis is willing to leave Carmine's bushes for a night at a strip club!!! I'd say that would definitely land him on the couch for a while, but, erm, I don't think he can do any worse than the bushes.

And I actually like Hardees, but only their fried chicken, which Carl's Jr. does not have. So yeah, I'm a thumbs down on Carl's Jr. too. If you guys do want to try fast food, In & Out is a CA specialty--"healthy" fast food. But if we've got any vegetarians in the group it wouldn't fly for a meal because it only serves burgers--I don't know if they have a vegetarian menu at all.

Tatooes, huh? *ponders* Might be an interesting souvenir to come home with...

In 'n Out burgers are fine. Not the best I've had but I'm up for that. Also, French fries at 2am is fun. Last time I did it it was while we were driving back to the hotel after a show taping that took like 5 hours!

Btw, thought I'd mention to you guys that four to five hours is the average time you spend sitting inside a studio if you want to watch the taping of a show. I already did it twice and uhm, it's gonna have to be something really interesting to convince me to do it for the third time! :lol:

CSI:NY DVDs on the other hand sounds awesome. I've been wanting to do that since a group of you ladies met a couple of months ago...

I don't know about anywhere else but they got rid of the fried chicken at the Hardee's where I live too.

My avatar is indeed Charlie Chaplin's likeness painted on a cat's ass. :lol: Someone emailed it to me and I was like "WTF???" It's a bummer that the pic is so small you can't see that the knot on his tie is the cat's butthole. :lol: Apparently there is an artist who paints cats for $15,000.

Orison raises a good point that everyone should be aware of -- show tapings take far longer than you expect. There are also other little unpleasantnesses (is that a word -- doubt it :lol, like the fact that you have to stand in line for quite a while to be treated like cattle, you can't use the bathroom once the taping starts, no food, no drinks and the air conditioning is generally blasting. It's actually not particularly pleasant, but it's one of those 'only in LA' experiences so is something we should at least make available if people want to go. But all activities are entirely optional.

Oh, I forgot all about the blasting AC. It was freezing in there! But the thing that annoyed me the most was that there's an guy who "entertains" the audience with little games and silly songs. They fed us with pizza though last year.
