"Desire" was a fun show, and Sofia was easily the best part of it. I'm not sure that it's 'good enough' or whatever for other countries to want to broadcast it, but I think if you ever have a chance to watch it, it's worth it for Sofia's scenes.
In the very least, Sofia's part was great. She plays the complete opposite of Yelina. Her character, Victoria, was a spoiled, vindictive, rich girl with a bumbling idiot for a brother. And that's amusing to watch (at least, for me, it was).
Sadly, the part was small, and worse still, I think if Miami producers really, really wanted her back earlier in the season, they could have probably worked around her schedule. My guess is that instead of scheduling conflicts, the problem has been more along the lines of finding an appropriate storyline to incorporate Yelina into. But like I said, that's just my guess; I have nothing more than a hunch to back it up.
Yeah, I personally like watching "nighttime soaps" not because they're great, but because they're funny to watch. And I think as long as you watch "Desire" with an open mind, it can be enjoyable. A lot of it's silly and the show will never ever win any award, but as long as you don't take it seriously, I think anyone can enjoy it.
