"Working Stiffs" Discussion *SPOILERS*

Lots of Greg? You call about 4 minutes worth on screen lots of time?

I dunno. Back in the day, he would only get one scene. Some CSI would need something processed, Greg would say something witty, some revelation would be had, then they move on.

I'm a huge Greg fan and I haven't see anything wrong with his screen time yet this season. In this ep alone, he went to the vic house with Nick, went to the office (that was where the porn line was mentioned, right?), he had a few scenes in the lab; I was happy.

I would say that so far, everyone but Catherine and Wendy have had good screen time.

When you compare the number of scenes Greg gets to what the others get, it seems unbalanced. 4 scenes when the others get numbers like 12 and 14? Seems kind of off balance. Everyone should get the same number of scenes or close to it with Nick having one more than Greg (at most) because he's assistant supervisor and Ray and Cath having two more than everyone else (at most) since they are the leads, Cath having same number as Ray or one more since she's the supervisor. I understand Ray getting more scenes than the supporting characters since he is the lead, but that much more is just overkill in my opinion.

As for him snapping at Wendy, she's the last person he should have snapped at.

Greg was in this alot, the apt. building and him talking about the cables being cut, the lab scene, with hm and Archie, and Greg discovering that Jason was spying, the team together talking about different scenerios, that's more than 4 minutes. I felt he was a paramount player in this episode. Fans complain about Dr. Ray, [I like him alot] and he's awesome as the newbie well, no so new anymore. And if one of the others were in it more, than they'd complain about that, guess nobody is ever 100% pleased with all the team and how much they were in it:rolleyes:I found NO fault at all with this episode, it was memorizing from the beginning to the end~

not my favorite episode either
but hey i'd take it over mascara and two and half deaths

it was different kind of like killer

the guest cast was great, i'd give them an emmy for the appearrance
tim blake nelson(paulie krill) from oh brother where art thou, it was kinda weird seeing him a killer after watching that movie and it kinda made him a good villian to me

not much greg:(
or cath(we sooo need a cath centered ep)
i liked doc saying to her that he'd buy her a purse

where's sara i know she's only going to be in a certain number of episodes but they could of at least said the day shift needed help or she took the night off or something

nick got several scenes:thumbsup: but of course ray got more:angryrazz:
again toooo much ray:brickwall:
and by the promo for next time dealing with racism their going to shove ray down our throats again, this really makes me not want to watch the 3 way crossover, if i decide not to watch it, my parents will think there's something wrong with me:rolleyes:the csi fanatic of the house

ya know something my sister isn't even a die hard like i am(really not even close) and she agrees with me that there is too much ray(& if she notices something like that, that's pretty BAD)

Is Ray the only CSI 2 now? Even Greg is finally a three now isn't he? Or a two? Still, Ray has the least seniority, so yeah :brickwall:

Greg made CSI 3 last season. Ray just made CSI 2 this season.

I wonder about Sara though. She was CSI 3 I think when she quit, but did she get to come back in at the same level or what?

I think Sara came back as an consultant, I never heard anyone say "wow your back as a full-fledged CSI" Maybe down the line that will be clarified. And the grumbling about Dr. Langston does no good, he's here to say [for now] and might as well praise him, instead of finding fault with him. [what's the point there?] I look at this too, all the CSI's like him and he works well with them all, and they don't seem to have a problem with him in any form~

I think we need a thread that gathers clues for who our serial killer might be...right now Doc Ray has said several things that really points to him as a possiblity ....Nick is listening...are we?

Well I liked this episode. It was a little-slow paced, but great.

Loved the line about Nick saying he was so angry with someone he was ready to kill them. Yep..we know Nicky..

I like Ray, but like pretty much all of the characters, there are times when some things bug me... like him rolling his eyes at and snapping at Wendy (of all people to snap at). I've been annoyed with pretty much all of the main characters (besides Doc, Wendy and SuperDave that is) at one time or another...

My biggest complaint is just the unbalance of the screentime.
If the screentime went like this: Ray -8, Cath - 7, Nick- 6, Greg- 5, I'd be okay with that. Even with Ray getting three more scenes than Greg because yes, Ray is the lead male. But 14, 12, 7, 4? Doesn't that look unbalanced to anyone else or is it just me?

I guess its just after the incredible amazing screentime balance in the premiere, I just hoped that things were shaping up.

I would have rathered that Sara was in this episode then maybe the screentime would have been at least a little better. They took all of the scenes that would have gone to Sara and gave them to one character instead of evenly dividing them between everyone.

Not just you, I think the balance of scenes and screen time is the most negative thing about the show right now. Though I do like Nick and I am glad he gets a lot of screen time and scenes I just wish writers could figure out that they need to balance screen time more :scream:, its my biggest issue with the show probably the only real issue I actually do have with this show. This episode I think is probably going to be my least favorite episode out of the ones I've seen so far mostly cause it was so boring and the unbalanced screen time again :( I don't think the writers quite get the idea of balanced screen time yet, even though we know they are capable of it since they did such a good job on Family Affair why they couldn't keep up that balance is still a mystery to me. :(

Removing from Tack. feel free to continue the discussion and have a good day! :)

I actually kinda liked the episode (then again I'm on like 17 different kinds of meds at the moment, so...It might not have been as good as I thought.)

It does seem like they are pointing at Ray to be Dr. J, so that totally means that he won't be it. It's gonna end up being a brother or something.

Loved the end sequence where it looked like the dude was gonna get away, but then they had the door hit him. And I will admit to spazzing cause I thought they were playing "Ice Ice Baby" during that sequence at first.

Loved that we finally got more Brass, and it's hilarious that he always has to interview the morons. Paul does the deadpan "........." thing better than anyone. It was good to see Wendy too, poor gal always gets snapped at (Cath in BTK2 comes to mind).

It was good to see a little more Catherine too here. Loved hearing the Sam reference, but hey, where's the glasses?! CSI, you disappoint me.

All in all, it was enjoyable. Good seeing Wayne Knight, all the guest stars were good. I'd give it 8/10.

"There's an app for that!" -I lol'd.
