It's not quite Tuesday, but here is a synopsis of tomorrow's episode Redrum. :)

WHEN A POPULAR POLITICIAN IS MURDERED, KEPPLER CONVINCES CATHERINE TO GO BEHIND THE BACKS OF HER TEAMMATES WITH A CONTROVERSIAL METHOD TO FIND THE KILLER

Catherine must deceive her teammates when she agrees to Keppler's covert and controversial plan to catch the killer of a popular politician. -- Liev Schreiber returns as Michael Keppler, a seasoned CSI who is new to Las Vegas and is assigned to Grissom's team during Grissom's teaching sabbatical. -- The leading suspect for the high-profile murder of anti-drug crusading assemblyman Danilo Zamesca is Thomas Simon, the west coast's biggest drug supplier, whose trail quickly grows cold. Catherine agrees to Keppler's unconventional method to find Simon, despite her reservations about lying to her longtime CSI teammates, who soon sense that something is awry.

This should be very interesting indeed. Lying to your colleagues is never a good idea, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. I loved Keppler last week, a great addition, but this is probably not the way to find favour with your new colleagues.

Oh, this sounds very good. I like the idea of putting Catherine (or any of the CSI's for that matter) in a position like this. Oh, me loves Keppler. :D

Thanks for the information Elsie. :)

I am RRRRREEEEEAAALLLYYY looking forward to this one. i mean
unconventional methods and deception how cool is this gonna
be!! I can't wait to see how the others react to this.
And me to tinkerbell keppler is fit!

Sounds like a wicked epsode. Wonder who'll be first to catch on. My bet's on Nick, dunno why, just a feeling.

Wooo yeah, i'm lookin forward to havin me some more Kepp action ;) He is fit fit fit. I miss my slice of sexyGrissomcake on Tuesdays though :(

3 hours to gooo! :D

--ETA-- Btw, this coming Sunday is CSI Sunday on Five US, starting at 8. :D

I think this week should be very interesting and there is the possibility for the team to turn on cathrine and so I am looking farward to seeing how this plays out.

***50 mins to go***

I was very excited about this episode but something didn't feel right.
I must admit i do like the character of keppler he is very quirky (somewhat like grissom in that respect) and intriguing. I feel catherine over reacted a bit this week i mean yea its not nice to lie to your friends but if you've been told you have to there's really nothing you can do about it.
I also think Nick it a bit too personally. Like warrick said at the end "let it go" i mean its not like they wanted to lie to them, they just had to.
I think its hilarious that Hodges thinks Keppler is internal affairs  and the poll 1.Nick 2.Hodges 3.Grissom:lol:
How cute is it that griss sent sara a coccoon can't wait to see what's in it.
I liked the "outside conference" when they were asking if they were gonna go along with nick and they all looked at greg who just shook his head

It was a good episode but for me it wasn't great.

6/10

Redrum

Ah! There's a lot I could say about this episode...And not all of it good! I don't know, it wasn't awful but I was somewhat disappointed. From the outset their plan was clearly a bad idea! Firstly, I like seeing them out of their 'natural' environment, so seeing some of them out of the lab having breakfast always makes me smile. But from last week, when Keppler was brought in as a CSI to work days, I find it strange that he suddenly has so much power and can somehow pursuade Catherine that deceiving the team she has know and trusted for at least 7 years is ever going to be a good plan? Although granted the undersheriff said it wasn't her call. All round stupid plan!

Right, so by this point I'm already thinking that Catherine and Keppler make a cute couple, but the rest of the lab are going to hate him, and I don't really want him to become the reviled one.

The Nick fangirl part of me was happy that Catherine sent him to work on what was essentially a pointless task, and that she obviously thinks so much of him professionally that she felt the need to keep him as far away from the faked evidence as possible, presumably because she knew he would be able to figure it out. Oh, and Nick's Texan accent was so beautiful!

Anyway, so surely it cannot be acceptable for Catherine to take some drugs evidence from another case! That has got to be evidence tampering and in my view she was therefore clearly more interested in finding the murderer in her own case than ensuring the integrity of the lab. The fact that it was exactly the same composition as the drugs from her original scene makes me think they should have connected the cases earlier too.

*pets Greg* he's so easily lead! I loved the cute little outside gang meeting and 'not trusting anyone' bit. But then all their good intentions went straight out the window as soon as they start also tampering with evidence from cases which they aren't working on! In the end, all for nothing because the undersheriff messed up.

*Sighs* OK, so Catherine explains and they all look pissed off, Nick more than most and Sara's clearly not a happy bunny. Catherine should have trusted them and knows that, Nick needs to get over it, and Keppler needs to go and sit in a darkened room and hope for forgiveness. Instead they solve the other case and get to arrest the guy anyway! *yay for CSI*. Now, if they could just all be warned about evidence tampering I would be happy.

You see, the Lab Director needs to learn from this. No more sabbaticals for Grissom! He's been away for a couple of weeks and this is what happens? Reverse forensics - not on his watch!

Overall, it was a plot with obvious potential, but instead it somehow fell flat. There were some good performances, Hodges for instance was on top form and Keppler certainly continues to show potential.

7/10, I would decribe this episode as watchable rubbish.

I don't think I've posted much in here :)

As a rule I am not a huge LV fan. Of the 3 CSI's is the one I watch if I happen to flick over and find it. I don't make an effort to watch it.

But so far I have caught every episode of Season 7 and I am enjoying it emensly (err how do you spell that word it looks wrong ) - I'm starting to make an effort :p

I loved last nights episode I thought it was great. Although its obvious they would get caught out :p

Also I have to say I can't say I'm missing Grissom too much. I seem to be too busy drooling over Keppler to even notice he is missing  He.Is.Lovely!! I've seen Liev in a few films like Sum Of All Fears & The Manchurian Candidate etc but never seen the appeal. But last week during Sweet Jane my jaw hit the floor  I think it is his suit he wears.
Although he has a little bit of Rory Cochrane about him, Dark and Brooding and a lil bit mysterious  :D I'll be gutted in 2 weeks time when he goes :(

First of all I need to express my horror at being teased about the MCS parcel on Grissoms desk. They can't do that! It's like dangling a 400g Cadburys Dairy Milk bar under your nose and yanking it away when you make a grab for it. What was worse, was that, as if to make a point of it, they rolled the camera right over the package. *end rant*

Anyway, I kind of agree with Elsie. It was a bad idea, and seemed doomed from the off. The idea itself wasn't that bad, although I thought it was a long shot, what grated me was keeping Nick, Warrick, Sara and Greg in the dark. I can understand why it would need to be hush hush, but not trusting those CSI's in particular seemed really insulting, and I'm not surprised they were a little annoyed (apart from Greg who seemed to just go with the flow  ). What also irritated me a little was Catherine’s attitude towards them whilst she was attempting to cover it up, especially when Nick was looking for the evidence box. It was a little harsh, and, in my opinion, unnecessary to order him not to go any further on it. If that didn’t look suspicious, I don't know what did! I really thought Nick got the short end of the straw and I really can't blame him for being so annoyed. I didn't think he expected Catherine would leave everyone in the dark like that. To Catherine defence, it was obvious that she didn't seem to have a choice, but I think she could have came across a little less cold when she was explaining it to everyone.

The episode came across as Keppler and Catherine versus Nick, Warrick, Sara and Greg, and I didn't like that so much.

I have no idea what the hell Grissoms gift to Sara was. Is that Grissoms idea of a romantic gesture?

There were some moments that I really did enjoy, like Kepplers runny eggs comment at the start. I also enjoyed Kepplers moment with Bobby in the ballistics lab, especially when Keppler leaned over him whilst he was sitting at his computer.

It was quite obvious in the end scene that there is an attraction between Catherine and Keppler. It will be interesting to see what will come of it.

I would give the episode 6/10. Not overly impressed.

I have to agree with pretty much all of the above. It was a good episode, just not fantastically great in my opinion. It sort of felt to me that Catherine was siding with Keppler over the rest of her team, even if she did have to. I don't really see why she had to because the idea of faking a crime scene seemed a bit elaborate to me but that's maybe just me...

mmm, not sure about this episode. I enjoyed it because there was loads of Nick  but the story didn't sit right with me either. Keppler gets on my nerves a bit, he has a bit of an superior attitude I feel with the other members of the team (apart from Catherine of course). Catherine knew from the start that "her team" would figure it out and she didnt exactly fight very hard to include them did she? I think Nick reacted badly because after everything that has happened to them as a team, he never thought she would freeze them out of something with a new guy. :( Loved the scene outside where they all agree to stick together; Warricks "I'm wich u" was so cool! (Lots of meaningful eye contact with Sara for all us Snickers fans out there too)

Hodges on form as usual, really making me laugh this season.

Grissoms parcel to Sara seemed very "Grissom", no note, no explanation. She seemed to know what he meant anyway if no-one else does! (I miss him :()

Roll on next week.

I thought the idea of reverrse forensics was interesting... but they copied too much of the original crime, like the cup that made Nick suspicious in the first place. Surely, and exact plastic cup in the exact same place is too much detail?

I felt quite sorry for Cath. She clearly didn't have a choice in deceiving her team, but fair play to her - she knew they were too good to be deceived and she kept saying she didn't like doing it. 'I'm not used to faking it,' was a lovely, flirty line, which suited Marg's delivery.

I think Sara's excellent comment, 'Anything I have to say to you, Catherine, I'll say in private... (to Keppler) No offence...' when clearly, every offence was intended, shows they understood who was leading the experiment. It suggested she knew Keppler lead Cath astray, even though we know the Undersherriff pushed it so hard, ultimatley cocking the whole operation up himself.

Loved the idea of the four CSI's sticking together. That was Grissom's voice of reason echoing through the corridor in his absence. 'I'll ride witchu!' was such a cool way to say it... though was it me or did Greg look a little unconvinced, merely shrugging his shoulders in agreement?

The coccoon was perfectly Grissom. It looked like Sara wanted a few little words from Bugman, but was still pleased with the prezzie as it sums Grissom up and demonstrates he was thinking about her in Williams College... and possibly the future? That eventually it will open up and fly out - like their relationship? Very metaphorical and symbolic on so many levels.

I like Keppler. He looks like he could be a bad boy... and we need one of them around the lab now!

I really enjoyed it. They are cranking up the drama to make sure Grissom is not missed by the audience... but it was the sole topic of conversation in the staffroom this morning! Kids were coming up to me all day asking what I thought of it without Grissom! But I had to admit to them, I liked it.
