I saw Deck the Halls earlier tonight. I din't think it was that great of a movie, but there were some pretty funny scenes. Since I saw it with friends, I still had a good time, probably the best part was making humorious comments about the movie as we watched it.
 
I saw "Cheaper by the dozen".

That movie is so hilarious! I love it. Could watch it all the time! :D
 
On Saturday night I saw Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny!! I laughed at a couple of bits, but there were people in the cinema literally crying with laughter. It was OK, but not that good! :lol:

I guess you would probably have to like Tenacious D (and preferably have the album) to even begin to like it. Still, Jack Black is great, and Meatloaf was in it playing his Dad...

School Of Rock, I loved it! Jack Black was so funny and the story was great. I thought the film was a little on the short side, but it worked well. I really liked the ending, especially the Battle Of The Bands performance. The kids were so adorable in the film, they were wonderful. Highly recommend it. :)
 
I had a little movie-watching marathon this weekend...

Pride and Prejudice - the 2005 version with Keira Knightley as Elizabeth. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. The two actors playing Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy made it work so beautifully I was cheering them on at the end!

A History of Violence - wow. It sure deserved its title! Tightly written and a little on the short side, but what a riveting movie.

Quills - a fictionalized account of the Marquis de Sade's imprisonment at Charenton asylum in France during the Napoleonic era and his relationships with his warders and MAdeleine, an asylum laundress. Excellent movie, but not for the faint of heart.

In Enemy Hands - great war movie with interesting interactions between two submarine crews who are supposed to be enemies. Doesn't hurt that Carmine (points at avatar) is in this movie too!
 
Christmas With The Kranks - I have to say the movie drove me nuts. I didn't like Jamie Lee Curtis's character as she seemed like a moron. Tim Allen I didn't think was that funny and the short gags they did have (like freezing the cat) weren't all that funny. I know people like to decorate for the holidays but this neighborhood seemed like a cult.

Elf- Have really not seen alot of anything with Will Ferrel but I thought this movie was kinda cute. Seemed a little choppy though like they were trying to hurry up and end the show. Just thought there could be a little more storyline to it.

Smokey Mountain Christmas - Now I have seen this many times but watched it last night and realized that Lee Majors looks alot like William Peterson. Anyone else see that?

This weekend I actually watched movies!!!!
Friday: Polar Express was on tv, hadn't seen the before but even watching it on a tiny tv with bad reception, it was wonderful.

Saturday: Went to see "Happy Feet" What an adorable movie! It's definitely one I'll add to my dvd collection.

Sunday: Went to see "Deck the Halls" pretty durn funny. Could have been better, but I wouldn't mind adding it to my xmas dvd collection.

I watched Quills about a year ago. I was really impressed with it. If I'm being honest, I only watched it initially because Joaquin Phoenix was in it. :eek: Regardless of Joaquin Phoenix being in the film, it's really a fantastic movie, also Geoffrey Rush and Kate Winslet are both awesome. :)

Last night I watched Labyrinth. The last time I saw this movie, I was about 8. :lol: I really like all the strange characters in the film. I think David Bowie is very good, but I'm not too sure about his outfits, but then again it's quite an old film, so I suppose it was quite fashionable at the time. :eek:
 
The last film I saw was Casino Royale for the second time. It a really good film. I haven't watched any other James Bond but I gave it a chance cos I felt sorry for Daniel Craig. It's one of my favourite films now. Can't wait till it comes out on DVD.
 
The Hills Have Eyes. I've gotta say, I wasn't impressed. As far as horror movie go, it wasn't great. It reminded a bit of Wrong Turn, but Wrong Turn was a lot better, in my opinion.

The only thing that scared me was realizing about halfway through, that one of the bad guys was the same guy that plays Sid Hammerback in CSI NY! :eek: I love Sid, so to see him play that character has traumatized me.
