Supernatural #3 - No Chick Flick Moments

But something tells me that Kripke will be playing a different angle with this version of the prince of darkness. He doesn't seem to like his characters to be that black and white... he plays around with shades of gray.

And that's a big part of why I love him so much.

As for God, I agree that if she does make an appearance, it'll be only a short one at the end ;)

I'm with you :) Kripke does write some of the best stuff for the shows (or his ideas turn into the scripts) as Sera Gamble and Ben Edlund (and the others that are never in the media eye as much as Gamble and Edlund ) do the writing to fit in his ideas. But let's not have a Dogma version of Supernatural ... I couldn't stand that movie and if God is female :| all I'll be able to think about is the awful sound that came out of Alanis Morissette's mouth

I've actually been wondering if/when God comes onto the show, will he need a vessel like the other Angels/Lucifer. Not that this would happen, but could you imagine Eric as God :shifty: *some of the fans think he is God* I'd actually love to see either John or Bobby used as the vessel if they actually go that route.

Thats a good point. I doubt God would need a vessel, after all he is god, he could just appear in my opinion. So Im gona say if he does show he'll just show lol

I loved the premiere. I love all the new questions it brought up for the year. The brother's dynamic has changed and the apocalypse is coming ever closer. I'm anxious to see what's going to happen next.

:shifty: :wtf: ... a new episode title has me scratching my head
The Curious Case of Dean Winchester :wtf:

If Dean ages backwards ... blah! I could barely sit through The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

I am thinking that might be the title of the ep where it's years and years in the future and shows a 70 year old Dean. At least I hope that's the case.

I don't do spoilers, so I'm not sure what's coming up, but I'd sort of like them to backburner Lucifer for the next episode. Or at least, only have him make an appearance near the end of the episode to sort of get you salivating for the next episode. ;) Or, if they do have it next episode, maybe a slight break in episode 3?

Don't get me wrong- I love this angels and demons storyline. I just worry that you can have too much of a good thing, if you know what I mean. I don't want stuff to start becoming too familiar and comfortable. The thing I love about this show is the unpredicatable pattern of the storylines. Fantastic! :D

What is it that Dean says at the end of the first clip? I wanna say it's "at least he's talking now" or "at least he took it well". But, I'm not sure.

That second video cracked me up. Ellen splashing the water in Dean's face. Hasn't that happened to him before? Then hugging him and then slapping him and telling him to put her on speed dial.

GNRF, I'm pretty sure he says, "at least he's talking now." I could be wrong, though.

Bobby did the same thing to Dean in Lazarus Rising... That second video was awesome. :D

Thanks for the links, Something_Wicked!

The thread made it to the dreaded 2nd page ... probably thanks to those :scream: spam posters! I wish someone had the authority to delete the users and send them to spammers hell :angryrazz:

Ok the rant out of the way ... I have a couple spoiler pictures for the 3rd episode  more Dean and Castiel scenes it looks like:

Holy crap! I can't believe no one has posted about the episode yet. Oh well, here's my review:

 Dean wants to give Bobby a backrub. heehee.

"Since when do angels need a cellphone to reach out and touch someone?"

 Angry Bobby is funny.

so God did put the boys on the plane and bring back Cas. Figured as much.

"Chuckles" :lol:

Dean thinks God is somewhere drinking booze out of a coconut. :guffaw:

God EMF. Good one, Sam!

Dean's necklace is the God EMF? Didn't his mom give him that necklace or was it his dad?

 at Dean telling Cas not to lose the necklace. Those two were bickering a bit like siblings on that part. "Can I borrow it?" "No." "Dean, give it to me." :guffaw:

After he gave Cas the necklace he says, "Oh, great! Now I feel naked!" :guffaw:

Bobby: When you find God, tell him to send legs.

Ellen: What are you, allergic to giving me piece of mind?

That scene with Ellen was hilarious.

The rest of the ep was pretty serious, so that was pretty much it for the funnies.

Cas and Dean on a road trip together. This should be fun! "So, did you find God yet?"

I don't know if anyone commented on the new Supernatural title this year, but I think I like it. I like the red. Very ominous.

Wow, weird ep, but I liked it. It sort of reminded me of a cross between Croatoan and the one about the 7 Deadly Sins. I wonder if we'll be seeing more of Joe and Ellen this year? I liked Ellen chastising them!

Man, Sammy's off on his own again? I was surprised when Dean didn't protest, but of course his comments made sense. I'm guessing this won't be going on for long... I hope! Gulp!

Sam was the one who gave Dean his amulet, it was a part of the Christmas episode :)

Missed the episode due to a power outage, going to watch it now so I"ll be back with a review :)
