Just saw the promo for this. Weird is all I have to say. The scene in the police dept with both women yelling at the kid was just strange, for lack of a better word. Did the woman at the convenience store brainwash him and threaten him with his life if he doesn't call her 'mom'? And when the kid spotted the 2nd woman as she was being dragged off, even his behavior was odd. If the woman having a fit in the park was his mom - is she really his mom or is she just delusional? - why would he get all excited over this other woman? And as if he doesn't have enough issues trying to figure out who is his mom, he doesn't seem to know what his name is either. Is Jesse or Adam? Pick one.
I don't know about anyone else but if you take your kid to the park or anywhere for that matter, and even if you're engaged in conversation with a friend or stranger whose kids are also playing there, in this day and age it's really stupid to not keep a close eye on your kid the entire time, even for a second. Plus, wouldn't you be able to spot someone if they were anywhere near your kid? Using the swingset in the wide open area in the promo for example. Most parks have these in the middle of the play area, not on the outskirts, so anyone going near there who obviously isn't the kid's parent(s) would stick out like a sore thumb. So either the woman wasn't paying attention for some unknown reason (I'd love to hear that one) or else she's being a drama queen and an enabler of the entire situation. Who knows.
Based on what little there is to go on in the promo, the only people I feel any sympathy for at all are the CSIs.
And the closing scene of the promo is the glass window/wall in the police station, not bars. Didn't seem creepy in itself. I was more creeped out by the kid than the interior decorating of the waiting room.
