Spoilers For Season 3-You've Been Warned!

I'm glad to hear Hawkes is finally going to get an episode, but I hate that he confides to Danny. Not that I don't like Danny--I'm glad Hawkes and Danny get to work together more and are apparently friends, but why is Danny the only person who gets a major piece of everything? I'd be more excited if Hawkes was confiding in Stella, or Lindsay, or even Flack.

Someone upthread mentioned Danny and Flack being friends--I thought so, too, until last season's finale. Danny's lack of concern for Flack proved that he's only a friend when he needs one.
 
^^ Hm, that's an interesting observation, kkennedytx. I sort of noticed that too. It was almost like they were setting up the Danny and Lindsay thing, because one of the final scenes was him offering her the ride home. But the episode had a lot to do with Mac's time in Beirut and how that soldier died and his being determined not to let Flack meet the same fate. All the team are under his command, so to speak and he feels responsible for each of them. So the writers focused on that dynamic and didn't get much into how the others of the team felt about or reacted to Flack getting blown up. But you're right though; Danny seemed the least concerned of all the team about Flack's injury...
 
Wow, that one sounds awesome! Finally some Hawkes background. He's so much cooler in the field, I never expected that, I cannot wait for that one to air.
 
I'm so excited about this spoiler! I hope Danny does get to make up for his lack of Flack concern. Although I credit that more to the writers lack of finesse more than anything. I don't think any of the characters besides Mac showed that much concern for Flack.

I'd like to see Danny and Flack work together again.... they make a great team! :D :devil: :D
 
It's about time they started to show some more of Hawkes' background story.

I hope we don't get any more Danny working with Flack scenes. The S2 finale really soured me on Danny, and especially on what I thought had been a good, close friendship. If the writers try to write the friendship again, I won't be buying into it. But I suppose some time during the season Danny's going to have another huge angsty crisis--maybe involving his brother, or Lindsay, or more fall out from the Tanglewood boys....
 
Well, I hardly think the way to go about correcting the damage from "Charge of This Post" is to simply not have them work together. Of course, I'd hate for them to act like nothing happened, and I'd like it even less so if Flack is there for Danny again and Danny just expects it. But if the writers put in a bit of a confrontation about it, or mentioned something that might change my perspective on that final scene from "CoTP"...

I can assume that Danny was there for Flack because he should have been, but the writers shouldn't expect us to do their jobs for them. They should tell us something.
 
I'd like to see some interaction involving Flack's reaction to Danny's COTP behavior...not necesarily all out war or anything but a confrontation or discussion or sorts. Know what I mean?
 
Absolutely, but I don't think we'll ever see something like that. The writers have a tendency of 'forgetting' storylines so I'd be really surprised if this happens.
 
We'll be getting plenty of Danny and Flack scenes **jumps up and down** this season. And yes, they do have a close friendship but CoTP was intended to be more Mac-centric so that's probably why there wasn't much Danny screentime to deal with Flack.

The only problem I had with Danny's behavior was that he left the hospital to take Lindsay home instead of staying with Flack. Of course, we don't know what happened after that. I'm sure Danny was there for him and it just wasn't mentioned. They are too close for Danny to just ignore him.

Also, I saw his behavior as his way of trying to deal with things. He looked like he was almost in tears when they were searching the building so I know he was worried. Then he worked on the case so they could get the guy.

Danny lost Aiden, his brother (don't know his status), went through Stella's ordeal, then almost lost Flack. Maybe leaving the hospital was his way of dealing with it.

But I do hope they address what really happened. I'm sure Danny was there for Flack.
 
Danny and Flack scenes? *rubs hands excitedly* YAY!

1CSIMfan , you have a point there. I want to believe the only reason why they didn't focus on Danny's reaction in COTP was because there was so much stuff and the show is only 42 minutes. I'm sure their friendship is still intact.

As for Louie, I want to believe we'll eventually hear about him too. :)

im pretty sure that Danny was still there for Flack, no matter what, and yeah the epi was kinda to do with mac n his marine past, like at the end when he was tellin him to squeeze his hand..

I didn't see this mentioned, maybe I'm blind cause I'm shocked it hasn't come up yet :lol: but in the scene where Hawkes confides in Danny, Danny had come in irritated from spilling coffee on his shirt and pants and it says he goes to his locker and 'changes his clothes'.
I'm hoping that scene doesn't get cut :devil:
