I saw Rory in my local newspaper. They were talking about Dazed and Confused, and how apparently the Slater character and a lot of others were stolen. (Characters inspired by actual people, but not properly characterized in the movie) Anyway so I open the paper and there's Rory Cochrane beside Matthew M. I'm assuming it's same picture you saw Jen.

Anyway, so I'm sitting there and my dad comes in the room and I'm just staring at the newspaper and my dad goes "what?" and I'm like "...Rory Cochrane is in the newspsper" and he said "...So?" and I was like "I almost had a heart attack. Give me a minute." :lol:
 
I had read that the 'real life' guys that Slater and some of the others were based on were planning on suing. I don't know if that ever happened or not.

The pic in my magazine is of the two of them sitting on the ground in front of one of the cars...it almost has the look of an 'in between takes' picture. Kinda candid, it's not a scene from the movie.
 
Alrighty then, it probably wasn't the same picture. :lol: Oh well, it still had Rory and I was still happy. :)

Alright guys, I took a stroll down to this site and aquired two video clips from A Scanner Darkly. One of which is Donna and Bob/Fred. And the other is of Freck.

I saw the Freck clip, and suffice it to say I was almost passing out the entire time. You can find both clips at that site. For those of you who can't see the clip for various reasons, I made some screencaps of it.

Yeah I didn't have sound either. I suppose that's because the file is fairly large. Not that it matters anyway because he's not saying anything.

I'm pretty sure it's coming out in my city. It's on the calendar at my movie theatre's website. :lol:

And you are welcome Chez for the screencaps. I'm glad you got the clip. I am a little disapointed however that there is no sound, because music in a movie tells a lot about the mood. Anyway, I still can't wait to see it.

but if it doesn't, then i have a feeling that Donahue had something to do with it :lol:

but if it doesn't, well, looks like another one i'll have to buy from America...

I think everyone's hoping the movie comes out near them. It has been getting quite a bit of publicity lately, so I think the movie should be fairly popular, even if some of the 'critics' if you can call them that, saw the movie and didn't like it. Who cares, I'll like it anyway. You can't say you don't like it if you can't give it a chance first. ;)
