In the June issue of 'Premiere' magazine, they have an interview with Richard Linklater, the director of both 'Dazed and Confused' and 'A Scanner Darkly'. The article is very interesting, and there's a pic of Rory and Matthew McConaughey from back in the D&C days.

What did the interview say, Jennifer ? We don´t have that magazine here in Europe. We have a pay-tv station called Premiere
The animation is so detailed--especially in Keanu Reeves's close-ups--that it captures every nuances of the performances.
Linklater:There is not a category to fit what we did here. there's this extra layer of interpretation, but it's the actors. And I'm afraid they won't get the credit they deserve for their performances.
