Unfortunatly, those titles have been up since the beginning of summer, possibly even earlier - I can't recall when they were first posted. I don't think they're accurate.

My b, I just saw them now. 0_0;

Well, if they are real "Officer Down" ought to be a doozie.

It's sounds interesting, i just hope it's not Eric get a shot in some part of his body again. How many times this man was shot? Twice in arm, one in head and one in leg, maybe more, i don't know  Anyway, i hope no one died or injured too bad :)

Hasn't there already been an episode called "officer down"? Or was it on NY? I'm fairly certain there wasn't a Vegas ep with that title. I know something I watch had that title. Could have been Criminal Minds I suppose, but I was really thinking it was Miami.

You're right, the titles have been up for a while,I saw them several weeks ago.I question if they are correct because they are posted so early.Would the writers know that far in advance what the later episodes are. They would probably have ideas about the early episodes, but I doubt that they would know so much that the entire season has the episodes titled.

Miami had "Man Down".Perhaps you are thinking of that episode.

Fine, I'll keep my opinions on David Caruso (whom I used to like and give the benefit of the doubt) and Horatio, whom I used to like but now can't stand. But I ask that you all, then keep your opinions of Eric Delko (and the actor) and Calleigh (and the actress) to yourselves as well. Car incidents: only two, not thousands.

I find it interesting that last year when they added Megalyn, everybody just jumped to hate her, yet this year they're adding Eddie Cibrian and everyone is all excited about it. Last year I never heard of her and this year I've never heard of him. I just don't want any new characters until the writers fix what's wrong to begin with.

Actually, not everyone jumped to hate Megalyn, and not everyone is excited about Eddie joining.
There are plenty of fans that want what you want, for the writers to deal with the problems that are present now.

I think Megalyn was an entirely different situation because she was replacing the much loved Alexx.

With Eddie, as far as we know he's not replacing anyone and it gives good indication that the show may go back to the two case per ep formula. I do think it's odd that they're adding a new full time character that isn't an M.E. but as far as screen time goes, there is a 50/50 chance of it going either way. The two case per ep formula could improve screentime, but on the otherhand, there is still the possibility of the focus being more on Case A than Case B and someone still gets shorted on the screen time front. So, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

You got it exactly, GregNickRyanFan! :) I never hated Megalyn/Tara. I wanted to give her a chance. The writers just screwed that character up so there was no possibility of her being accepted by the masses.

Again, I agree. For some strange reason I'm putting a lot of hope in this new character that he will bring help to right a lot of what I find wrong with the current CSI:Miami.

And you're right - we'll just have to wait and see! ;)

It was supposed to be an episode with that title somewhere in season 1 or season 2, can't remember exactly, but it never happen :lol:

I never hated Tara right away, I actually don't hate her now. She just isn't my favorite character. I guess it's her lack of personality. She never did anything memorable to me.

The concern I have with our new friend Eddie is that he'll probably suck up some screen time and plots that someone like Ryan, Nat, Kyle or Frank could use. I'd like for Kyle to establish a firmer role on the team, for Natalia and Frank to, I dunno, EXIST, and for Ryan to have a story arc that LASTS and that doesn't get him in trouble or test his trust with the team.

Actually they wrote an episode entitled "Officer Down" for Miami. It was about Calleigh who got shot on a crime scene on s2. It was also supposed to be a huge DuCaine episode since Horatio was there during the shooting. After a while Calleigh would have come back to work with Speed on the case.

It was written, but it never made to the screen and nobody knows why. Even Corey Miller talked about it during his last interview for CSI:Files ;)

And yep we all know what episode you might be thinking, which is "Man Down".

ladyd10 I never meant to start an opinion war. Trust me, it wasn't an opinion about the characters (I won't eve consider the possibility of an opinion about actors) and, above all I wasn't referring to the characters, but I was referring to the storylines ;).
My point was that it is quite immature to judge characters and, above all, actors for storylines which are stupid in themselves.

Wow! Miss a couple of days and one misses a lot. I will quickly put in my two cents and then get back on topic.

I am not really sure how I feel about this new addition, although I think it is odd to add a cop to a show that has no ME

Ryan, Natalia and Frank are already fighting for screen time (I agree Wasabi, positive screen time for Ryan) and my biggest fear would be with the new guy coming aboard, their screen time could diminish (we know the others will get THEIR time). Maybe the answer would be the get away from deliving into the character's private lives, maybe even shelving ALL romantic entanglements, but the downside to that (well, for some of us anyway)is having to continue to believe Ryan was dropped on Earth from the Mothership four years ago:rolleyes:

I can understand both sides of this issue; if handled properly, I think it could work (writers, are you listening), but I also can see one case overshadowing the other (and I am afraid I know which characters' cases will get over shadowed:()

I guess I am going to take the wait-and-see attitude. It could work with this additional chacter brought in, or it could spell more frustration for those us Ryan, Natalia and Frank fans.

Yep, that was one thing. It was also that she was just so young, & even before seeing her reach the screen as 'Tara', it was hard to buy that this young of a woman was an ME. The actress & the character just wasn't very believable, & that always tends to leave fans with a funny feeling in thier guts. I was actually fine with a replacement for Alexx - people come & go, so I wasn't against a replacement, but Megalyn didn't quite fit into this role, imo.

I'd like for Kyle to establish a firmer role on the team
And honestly, I do think Kyle will take the place of the ME...to some extent anyway. They have yet to even confirm Megalyn's fate on the show, & we're 3 weeks away from shooting the premiere with no ME casting calls, or news of a new ME - so my guess it that either Tara will be back, or Kyle will take over this position so he can be squeezed into the cast/team. Yes, I know it's impossible for him to have the education, but I get the impression that his role will continue to be in the morgue & he will be the one who we see interacting with the team in those "morgue moments". Which is fine, as long as I don't have to just expect that he suddenly aged 15 years, finished high school, & earned his medical degree all over summer hiatus.

Exactly. Which is why at this point, I'd rather they just keep Kyle in the morgue & have a "faceless" ME, because it seems like too much to add (on top of Kyle & Eddie) another character who will need development.
Eddie & Evan (Kyle) are fine with me if tptb keep it subtle, let them do thier jobs, settle into thier skin, & save the drama arcs on those characters for a later season.

I think Miami needs an interesting ME like Doc Robbins from Vegas or Sid from NY.Somebody with an unique personality that brings something extra to the cases.Kyle doesn't have what it takes IMO.He should be there to humanize Horatio.

I am not sure about what went wrong with Tara. It's hard to replace someone like Alex but she didn't have much chemistry with anyone. She was just there to me.Different to Ryan(that I didn't like much at the start) but at least I was interested in him.

I agree with you here. I don't think they should even attempt to find a new ME. They've attempted to add many characters to the line up over the past seasons and none of them really clicked. Kyle seems to be generally liked, so I think it would be a good idea for him to be the face of the morgue. I do think they will need to implant some sort of ME, though, even if by name only. Kyle just turned 18 (today, come to think of it), and it's really quite unbeliavable that he could fill the role of ME. He doesn't have any college education. We don't even know for sure if he finished high school.

I'm wondering if they will add Evan to the opening credits next season? I'm thinking they will, now that he has a sort of "team member" status on the show.
