I read that and when asked about Jon Togo and what's up for Ryan they sure didn't say much (except about his "unique" relationship with Jesse), which IMHO isn't a good sign as far as story arcs are concerned
Agreed,it just means he won't have his own story but will be a tagalong.

I am a bit confused though.....wasn't it Calleigh who mentioned his "mystery girl" in that episode? They said in the interview that it was Walter....did I miss something?

I'm glad Nat will finally get a storyline of her own, she's been overlooked for too long. I just hope the storyline doesn't lead into a romance between her and Jesse.
I've seen some screencaps for Ep. 8.10 "Count Me Out" at the CBS Press Express website.
Not a lot of pictures but apparently, it's Natalia, Ryan and Horatio who are involve in the explosion.
This is an interesting episode- lots of action!
There are only TWO CSIs inside the place when the explosion occurs, not three. The comment in the interview was that a third CSI would have no choice much to face danger. That sounds like a rescue to me. But, it might have nothing to do with the actual explosion, may be a different storyline altogether and if that's the case then it'll most likely involve Calleigh. The way I heard it, it was Jesse and someone else involved in the actual explosion (probably Natalia) and Ryan/Horatio were just at the scene after the fact to look for clues as to who or what was behind the explosion.
Of course it's possible that spoilers have changed, but honestly I don't see a storyline if its Ryan/Nat/H. I hope to God its not Ryan because I'm sick and freaking tired of him only getting storylines where he's in trouble whether legally/job-wise or danger-wise. Its old and tired... so hopefully Ryan is only investigating after the fact and is not actually in the actual explosion. Horatio wouldn't be in the explosion cause there's no way they'd have him hurt and out of comission. So, I still think its Jesse/Nat and the third person putting themselves in danger is another storyline entirely and will be Cal.

I am rather tired of that as well. Couldn't Ryan be the hero here (or anywhere for that matter?!) It would be nice to see Natalia get a juicy storyline though.
Sorry my bad! You are right -based on what I've seen in the screen caps Horatio and Ryan might be there just to rescue Natalia because they don't look injured but definitely Natalia was one of the CSIs involved in the explosion.
One of the photos seems to have Ryan on the phone while H is helping Natalia so it seems to me H and Ryan might have possibly been outside gathering evidence when the explosion occurred; Ryan calling for help.
