So I haven't been on in a few months, and I figure most of the board regulars from when I was frequently visiting are gone (hehe not Geni
) but hi everyone.
Welcome back!
Heh, I don't think I've left this forum since 2005 so rest assured I won't be gone anytime soon.
So we know that Horatio was shot. Whether or not it was staged, or just his death was staged, or the entire thing was real, we're unclear. I've heard different things, and I'm still not sure what exactly is supposed to happen. Would anyone happen to know exactly what does happen, whether he's shot for real, and if it was indeed staged, if it was just death or the shot itself as well.
From what I gather, he was actually shot but Horatio is telling everyone to play it as a murder. At this point, the 'murder' aspect of it is 100% staged but the shooting itself, I'm not totally clear on. Someone else could probably elaborate further.
Of course being shot won't cause him to do a 180, but hopefully, some of the 'I can withstand anything, I am Super H, hear me roar' crap will stop.
Maybe it'll humble him a little. I like Super H but I can only take so much of it in one season.

Yay! they should just go ahead and add her to the opening credits as a full time cast member. She's been in 65 eps already which is the same number of eps listed on imdb for AJ Cook who is a regular on Criminal Minds.
But AJ Cook gets a tad more screentime than Boti. That's probably the main reason why she isn't in the opening credits--she's only there for one scene here and there. Then again, Alexx was really only in 2 minutes out of 45 but that was really only of late. (seasons 5-6) I'd like to see Boti in the opening credits, assuming they give her more face time on the show.
What the heck happened to Aaron? I liked him. Wasn't he the trace tech? Or did he do something else? And don't they need a new AV person since Cooper was fired?
Yeah, I think Aaron was trace. He was processing cocaine (or was it marijuana?) a while back. I didn't like him though, he didn't really seem to mesh well with the team. Of course, heh, Speed was probably ten times worse in the 'personable' department. Whatever, he's not here.
I would have thought they'd replace Cooper too but for some reason they have Ryan doing all of the A/V stuff. It's not like he isn't capable--they don't do a whole lot of complicated techy stuff nowadays anyway but it'd be nice to see Ryan out in the field more and a new character on the inside.
I'm not even sure they
need a character who processes trace evidence. Calleigh, Eric and Ryan - even Horatio - have processed evidence in the past without needing a tech there.

Calleigh really needs to stop all of this. Since the begining of the season she was always playing the victim. I'm so sick of it. If one tiny thing goes wrong she has everyone running to help her. Ryan and Natalia need more screen time instead. Calleigh needs to quit making drama in her life and stop being so needy and clingy. I love her and all, but this has to stop.
Well in her defense, she's not really making the drama. But I do understand your frustration. It seems like every five minutes, she's taking the brunt of some unfortunate circumstance. I don't think she's been clingy or needy though--if anything, in my opinion, she's seemed adament on not needing
anyone. I was kind of getting frustrated with her need to deal with things on her own and always remaining professional when she has an excuse to take a break or even lose it.
Hopefully this season will see a partial end to all of her turmoil. I actually would like to see Ryan and Natalia get some of the action.
