Season 12 Spoiler Lab Discussion

That was great MaxPointy!

I am definitely hoping for a new intro this year too! With 2 new cast members joining, now is the perfect time.

Sharp, I also liked the slo-mo shot of the team during S6-8! Especially coming on the heals of Grave Danger. I was disappointed when they stopped using that shot. It would be cool if they would do a newer version of that.

Not specifically spoiler-related, but Anthony E. Zuiker is leaving CBS.

No Anthony no stay, besides the Raskell drag at the end of last season, it was good, STAY!!! :(

Well I wouldn't count on as much continuity this next season :(

And he's going to ABC of all places :wtf: they turned him down 12 years ago, though it may have been a blessing in disguise for CSI, but still I don't know if I'd go back

Well, I know that the article said that Squeegel might return, but I have a feeling CBS will put a stop to that, since Zuiker left them.

Yeah but if the Squeegel episode meant better ratings, I doubt they would nix the idea just because he has after 12 years, decided to move onto another network to develop new projects.

I guess it depends on who owns the rights to Squeegel. If he's in Zuiker's name, than he might not allow CBS to use him anymore.

Not sure if anyone has Gary T on facebook, but he has posted pictures of Ted and David Berman's visit to the Vegas Coroner's Office, as well as pictures of Jon Wellner and Elisabeth Harnois' visit.

He says Ted was not as he expected him to be and he thinks he'll be a good addition to the cast.

WOW, I'm pretty shocked. CSI was his creation and his baby. He just came back to the writing table not to long ago, and seemed to be thrilled. I never thought he'd leave this show under any circumstances:confused:

This is what Gary had to say:

Ted Danson is different than I had expected, at least today. He was somewhat reserved and serious. He comes off very intellectual (smart). He was not the boisterous, loud party guy I had expected. Enjoyed talking with him very much. David Berman was the escort today. Haven't seen him in a while although we are often in touch. At first I didn't know how Ted Danson would fit into CSI. But now that I have seen this side to him, he may just be ideal. Of course, I have to remind myself that seeing what we do here for the first time with no preparation would tend to stifle even the rowdiest personality. He made the statement . . . "it took the giddy out of me."

So I've been thinking a bit and the possible demotion seems like it COULD be an okay storyline if done right, and could give Marg something good to work with, cause let's face it. It's been pretty scarce on the equal screentime front the past couple years.

So I have a question. If they take away her supervisor title, could they also take away her rank? Like make her a level 1 and need to be with a superior at all times? Make her earn her rank back? Or would they just relieve her of her supervising duties? Another thing is, maybe she won't be demoted, but has a co-supervisor?

This has potential. But no doubt tptb will screw it up. =\

She already has a co-supervisor: Nick. Or do you mean having two head supervisors and Nick staying an assistant supervisor? I don't like the idea of anyone getting demoted, but especially Nick. The only thing he did wrong was not tell Cath that Ray was in CA. I don't think Cath deserves a demotion either, even if she did bring Haskell in to help with Jekyll against Brass' wishes.

I hope they don't split the team up again. That totally sucked the first time around LOL.

From Michael Ausiello on TVLine.

After four seasons as a recurring guest star, Jorja Fox is returning to CSI this fall as a full-fledged series regular, sources confirm to TVLine exclusively.

The actress left the procedural at the start of Season 8 after appearing in only a handful of episodes. She returned for Season 9, but opted to remain a guest star until now.

The news comes as CSI is undergoing a major cast shakeup as it enters its 12th season. As previously reported, Ted Danson has replaced Laurence Fishburne as the new supervisor.

Great news to wake up to this morning! Thanks, Dizzney. :)
I wonder if 'full-fledged' means all the episodes? If Marg is really leaving, then this makes good sense. And, I think Sara will interact well with Danson's character; and hopefully this means more Grissom appearances.
We should hear about the rest of the cast this week as well.

Great video, MaxPointy. Thanks for sharing!

I'm not sure how the Zuiker news will affect CSI. Hopefully, not much. I can't imagine he wouldn't allow CSI to use Sqweegel again if they wanted. I know he was trying to develop a new series on CBS and his projects weren't picked up. Maybe he will have more luck on ABC. Once a project is developed, though, it can be sold to any network. I wish him luck!

Has anyone heard anything about Sarah Goldfinger returning to CSI? Another poster mentioned it on another site; but I haven't found it anywhere else, so I haven't been able to confirm it. Shane? Have you heard anything? I would love to know what writers are returning.

ETA: Just saw the CSI Files report on everyone returning. YAY!!!
