Maybe Catherine takes Ecklie's old job as director and Nick becomes supervisor? Maybe she is then the one to call Sara. IDK. Just thinking out loud.

I guess that's possible. Didn't think of that one.

Another thought about Nick's promotion: Maybe it's a new position altogether... one we've never heard of in the CSI verse.

Maybe Nick is named Sexiest Vegas CSI?.......just kidding....just trying to bring some humor as horrible as it is

 I thought it was funny. :)

That's the first thought that had come to my mind when I read that Nick was going to get promoted. If that is the case, perhaps that'll free up Marg for other projects, but still have her characters presence in the lab and out in the field...just in a smaller role. Who knows!

It makes no difference to me if Sara and Grissom are married or not. What I would love is the mention that the team were present becouse it's an indication that they are still like a family. The thing that I am most interested about is if Grissom would make an appeareance or not. They can't have a Paul Milander related episode without him!!!

I am confused with the spoilers about Ray.The writers should have made him a consultant or a supervisor since he was introduced.Sort of like Rossi on criminal minds.Catherine would still be the boss and it would not look so wrong having Ray giving her advice.

Thank's Ipstenu and welcome as well. Thank's for coming on this site and clearing some issues up. That's very kind of you:thumbsup: I sure am going to check that out your site, and I do believe you over, some other columnists that are mostly unreliable, last name starts with A I'm sure this relationship has come full circle, for petes sake, they've been together for a long time, so hip-hip-hooray and good for them. And on Ray's new makeover, OK, whatever, he's cool, no matter what he wears:bolian: and good for Nick, he's the bomb and deserves a promotion he's worked hard for it~

I agree, Electra. They should have made him more like Rossi's role. Hotch is still the boss and Morgan is in second place, but Rossi still has an authoritive type of role without being the boss. That would have been perfect for Langston had they done that in the beginning. But, they handled it all wrong. Now he started out as a Level one and was having trouble with the fingerprint powders (which was adorable and LF played that scene really well and I enjoyed it)... I really think they did the character and actor a disservice by snatching that part of the character away so quickly. Not to mention a disservice to the audience who enjoyed the refreshing parts like that. But, it's too late to change that now.

Ok, must put my two cents in.

GSR marriage: Ipstenu, it was nice of you to come on an explain the marriage spoiler, unfortunately, I don't buy it. However, we'll find out in the season opener, I'm sure.

Nick: It's about time he's promoted. Now Catherine wasn't, exactly, co-supervisor with Grissom, I believe she was an Assistant supervisor. She could be promoting Nick to Asst. Supervisor. However, I like the other theories too, to make him Lead CSI, or Supervisor because Catherine is promoted to Lab Director. Though with this spoiler, I'll believe when I see it. Things can change and the way Nick has been treated in the past, I could see it changing, but I'll keep hoping. Besides they can't even get his birthday right. His birthday was in August, you know, the day AFTER Grissom's.

Langston: I would like to know where the heck these fans are that complained about his wardrobe and not being in a more authoritive role. :wtf: They made a mistake of gradually introducing him. :shifty::wtf: Are these people seriously watching the same show we are. :wtf: I mean they're tptb and they don't even know what has happened on their own show. :wtf: :shifty:

Desertwind no prob :) Part of the reason I've never opened JFO new up to anyone else is I'm skittish about most spoilers.

And no worries, speedystokesgirl I don't take that personally at all :) And I have NO idea what people are on about with Ray needing a makeover, though the recent quibbles about the CSI ratings droop being from George's hurt back and the subsequent need to push Ray forward (I presume to fill the manly void?) would make some sense, since I know the original concept for Nick was a biker kinda guy, and he may have been the original intent for the motorcycle ep.

I joked that clearly Nick's finally getting the 'Key Position' :guffaw:(and I wouldn't have given it to Sara either!)

GNRF Langston wardrobe has never been the problem. For me is more thta he is either is a CSI level one or a supervisor.I like the character becouse he is compassionate and caring but I want to have that clear. The writers had a tough job last season but it's time to make it right.

Did they ever officially name a replacement for Catherine last season. I honestly do not remember. Maybe Nick is "officially" named as the assistant supervisor. I could just be hallucinating what did and did not happen last season!

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation had a rocky season, and it's time for some course correction -- including a new wardrobe for Laurence Fishburne, CBS' entertainment president says.

"It wasn't just about losing [William Petersen]. That show went through monumental changes last season," acknowledges Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment.

At the network's fall-TV presentation for critics, Tassler enumerated the long-running show's many changes, including the departures of cast members Jorja Fox and Gary Dourdan and the arrival of Laurence Fishburne's Dr. Raymond Langston. "Fans were unsure about where the show was going," Tassler says. "They wanted to see the group back together."
Tassler says that the show's attempt to slowly bring Langston into the team might have backfired. "The challenge was to introduce [Fishburne] in a gradual way ... so he earns a position of power," she said. "[But] fans wanted to see him in a take-charge capacity." To be sure, Fishburne usually projects a commanding intensity in his performances (Hello, Ike Turner!).
But that's all about to change this season, Tassler promises. "He's much more settled in his role; he's more versed in the language of CSI."
Plus, Langston is getting a wardrobe makeover! "Our research says fans love him and respect him, but that they just want to see him more comfortable in his clothes," she says.
As for other changes, Jorja Fox's Sara Sidle will be back for the season's first five episodes, and at least one other character will have a different role. "Catherine is going to promote Nick [this season]," she said, referring to George Eads' character.
What do you think, CSI fans? Do these sound like steps in the right direction?

OMG i just read that on tvguide.com
i wouldn't believe that if i didn't read it

:scream::confused::scream::confused::wtf::wtf: she's joking...right, or tvguide exaggerated things right b/c tvguide isn't always accurate sometimes it seems or were they drunk during this interview:beer:
this had better be a late april fools joke
as for nick promoted good for him and sara coming back i am happy as could be and makes look forward to the season more
riley i'm not gonna cry over her(like gil, sara,& warrick) but in some ways i kinda would rather have her than ray

No they never did. I think the only reason Catherine was made Asst. Supervisor was because Grissom wanted the team back together. She was still supervisor of Swing. They weren't going to demote her and she didn't have the position before Season 5.

Though some say Nick was made Asst. Supervisor, he never was, but was acting supervisor when Catherine had to go to the hospital.

I'm still leary of this promotion. Tptb have said numerous things, in the past, that is going to happen with Nick and nothing comes of it. I'll believe when I see it.
