Ryan/Jon#29: Togo-licious

Greg was way over due for an episode and those writers knew what a Greg centered episode means,and it doesn't mean to disappear from the episode only to reappear shortly before it ended.Jon shines in his scenes,no matter how few,Imagine what he could do with something really meaty.

I love the idea of doing retro Ryan icons.I may have one or two retro icons around!

I know a while ago (well we still sort of are) we were talking about what we want for Ryan. Two things, I want a Ryan-centered epi where he isn't gone for half the episode (so it wasn't even really Ryan-centric, they just tricked us into thinking that) and where he gets to be the HERO. HERO HERO HERO. Undeniably. Please, writers, pleaaase? I mean WISC was kind of heroic but only certain people (aka Ryan fans) really realized that. The other characters in the show thought he was just being stupid and other fans didn't see why he wouldn't just tell someone. -_-

And that sort of goes into the second thing I would like to see. I want like, a mention of what happened in WISC. Either something that's going to happen to Ryan in the future drags this up and he finally has to explain what happened to him to everyone. Or, at least mention it in a way that we know Calleigh and Eric (mostly them because I don't really recall them showing Natalia's reaction to what Ryan did) know what happened to Ryan and why he had to do what he did. And hopefully that they forgive him and understand and everything. That's not too much to ask is it, TPTB?

is it me or he is really the only one who's background is still deep in closet? i mean completely nothing except few mentions of uncle? no wonder i've been imagining almost any variant about his past.

There was the mention of a niece in the 5th seaon. Of course we don't know if Ryan has a brother or sister that is the parent of the niece.

I would like to see. I want like, a mention of what happened in WISC. Either something that's going to happen to Ryan in the future drags this up and he finally has to explain what happened to him to everyone. Or, at least mention it in a way that we know Calleigh and Eric (mostly them because I don't really recall them showing Natalia's reaction to what Ryan did) know what happened to Ryan and why he had to do what he did. And hopefully that they forgive him and understand and everything. That's not too much to ask is it, TPTB?

We were left to assume that Ryan and/or Horatio had to tell the team something. I've always doubted that Calleigh and Eric would just go back to working with him as though nothing happened,they at least would need some type of explanation. It's too bad TPTB and writers didn't show us that,it would have been a great scene.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, Greg's epicness left me wanting MORE fore Ryan. Eric Szmanda killed it... I have NO doubt that Jon Togo would be EVERY bit of that and then some. It's time for Ryan to shine, we've been saying it season after season... somethings gotta give!!! Greg had more screen time in one episode than Ryan has had in the last four.. including our 'Ryan' centric episode.

I wouldn't give the Vegas writers too much credit; after all that was the first Greg-centric episode in four years! Ryan may always get crappy storylines along the lines of 'guilty until proven otherwise' or 'running into buildings that are on fire', but at least he actually gets them :shifty:

I agree luf100, WISC should certainly not just be swept under the rug like it was. I thought Blood Sugar had a perfect setup for a reference, being in a sugar factory and all, but not a hint It's not as if it would so hard to mention; they could have a case involving Russians, torture, another case at a sugar factory etc. that could really strike home for Ryan, and maybe some lovely shots of him sympathising with the victim. We all know that Jon would ace it if he was given the chance.

I'm also liking the retro icon idea...though I'd like to make mine into a banner since I have a year-wide theme going on with my current icons

^^^^ That's true, but I agree with GF as well. While his storyline was well overdue, it was written for him, in his style. I know that Ryan gets material to work with, but its same ol, same ol. I'm ready for something extra positive, and like luf said.... HERO. I too dream of the day that WISC will be reviled.... I don't know , I still want an episode where he's the hero or a least solves the case! I feel like everyone else has had a chance(and I feel robbed after MMIH)......

On another note, can't wait for operation WolfePack!throwback! Yes, we can do banners or icons, doesn't matter!

oh yes WISC part 2 i would enjoy, or at least some reference like a memory or similar situation.

i think he's more HERO than anyone else, not even H.

Oh, how nice and random. Something fun to watch to anyway. I actually enjoy Ryan's scenes in this one (i.e the hand sanitizer, =) ) while I wait for my voice to come back :: sigh ::
