Not tons of Ryan for the premiere, but okay, and of course there was more than season 8. Hope FallenForFlack gets a few caps of him crawling around in the vents. You know there was a "rear" shot.

:guffaw:Haha, I totally caught that as well and I practically tilted my head to get a better look (I know how awful!!!!)

Anyways, I mentioned this in another thread, but it kind of bugged me when Ryan said that he and Calleigh had a bet riding on the basketball game...bad continuity ya know? It was innocent enough, but he's not suppose to gamble right?

I didn't even realize that, dreamer. Even if it is innocent, a former gambler would probably try to stay away from even innocent bets like that. But I guess they just don't really think about stuff like that when they're writing the episodes. Even though they should...

Anyways I loved the episode. Ryan is so skinny now, especially in the face. :O And I saw a little hug sorta thing between Ryan and Natalia during basketball. And that fancy thing Ryan did with the basketball behind his back. xD The ending was so good. <3 I loved all of it. To me it was kind of like... "the team is back together" with Eric back and Jesse gone. Especially with the music, the same song they played during Death Pool 100 with the team walking along the beach in that episode. Pretty good.

*I know that has nothing to do with Ryan but we have better conversation in here than the other threads.*

^^
I saw the comment in the other thread. You may remember how awful Calleigh was to him too about the gambling . I think it was an innocent(no money involved) just bragging rights type of bet.I'm sure the writers and TPTB wouldn't go there again. There should have been a little more thought put into it though.

hey everyone so how was the season premiere? gosh i can't wait to see it on my own.. it's so thrilling not to be able to watch it on the real time but oh better than not seeing at all. hopefully there was enough Jon;)

I don't really think the bet thing was bad. I mean its a little weird, but on Vegas, Warrick was a recovering gambling addict too and he and Nick were always making bets with each other (the one that comes to mind was when they were betting how long that one new DNA tech that Greg was training would last given the pressures of the lab and the bosses/co-workers). I'm still not sure if Ryan was just joking or if he and Calleigh actually did make a bet. Then again, the bet could have been something very innocent like a steak dinner or something rather than money.

I think it was just Ryan making a joke about his past behavior to lighten the mood. Nothing serious about it.

Ok - thanks guys, I was probably just over thinking the bet a little too much! And I love the picture great zombie!!!

Agree with everything you just said! I thought it was very justifying using "Transatlanticism" for the ending. (I literally shouted out in my house "They used this for the 100th episode!" lol)

I was extremely happy to see much more involvement from Ryan this premiere. I'm hoping, though, that we see more pairing with him and Horatio throughout the season because H was with Eric just a little too much IMO.

My favorite scene, however, was the ending because it felt like we stopped watching the characters and instead were watching the actors messing around as friends. And that hug! Well, I melted... lol.

I also think that the gambling comment was a joke. It did fit the moment.
The ending was sweet, with Ryan and Natalia hugging.
I wasnt overly impressed with the episode, and Ryan should definitely have had more screentime, but I suppose he did better than the s8 premiere. And he had a few nice scnes. And yes, i am looking forward to a cap of that butt shot!

Wow, where is everybody? To hopefully spark some discussion, below is an interesting perspective on what went wrong last season and I agree with the assessment. Jon is mentioned in a positive way.

Thanks for asking the question Theresa.I had hesitated asking where everyone is,we haven't seen some posters here in quite a while, even long time posters and I miss them.Perhaps as the season progresses and we see what Miami has to offer,it will become more active.

Also thanks for the article.I think as far as Omar over shadowing Jon,that was allowed to happen, especially in the earlier episodes. I have my own theory as to why,but will keep them to myself, because they are speculation. Of course you can PM if you want my thoughts.
I did like that Jon was included(as he should have been) in the talk of concentrating on core members of the team.He is a core member, and that shouldn't be a question. There are some that think core member means "original" member. Original means original, period. I just hope TPTB mean it about concentrating on the team, and we get a good season, for the entire team.

well i've been here all the time felt bit ignored, but i sucked it up and went on.
but i was like 'hello? anybody home?' :)

well i just read article and agree. some things really went wrong. i don't mind if some attention falls on new characters, so we can get to know them better, but come on taking all screentime from others ( i mean Ryan), well that's the wrong idea.

but i really hope the new season will be better.
and really they put away classical H one-liners? now that fits, i already started to think something's missing. well now at least i won't be surprised if i notice something odd.

all i want is more Ryan

^^
We would never ignore you.
Giving some characters a lot less screen time was really a sore point with me for more than just last season .I hope that TPTB and writers will return to how they presented the cast in earlier episodes where all of the cast members got good air time. If we didn't see a lot of a cast member for one episode,we saw a lot of them in another, that worked well.
