They definitely have alot they could do with Ryan. I would imagine the season opener should include a big Ryan storyline unless they just plan on it starting w/ him being rehired with no explantion and like the whole thing never happened.

^ And the funny part (not getting shippy here) is that he used to call her Miss Boa Vista and now he calls her Natalia. Wonder what got that relationship jump-started.

I always wondered why Horatio and Ryan aren't closer. They work together every day, have cases together, (the same as Eric and Horatio and they're very close) and yet they seem so far apart and like they don't even know each other. Everyone seems really close to Ryan and Horatio respectively, but they don't seem very close to each other. Maybe it has something to do with Horatio missing SPeed, or the fact that Ryan is considered his 'replacement' (in a bad way, though I don't view it this way) and Horatio might not be very likely to warm up to him because of it. But seriously, it's been three years and they've worked together for all this time.

I think they could have done a bit more with 'Nailed'. Horatio could have told Ryan how much he cares about him and hopes he'll get well, he could have sat with him like he did Eric, even said something as he was being wheeled into the ER or appeared worried. Even if they're not very close they're team member and have to stick together. I'm dissapointed in Horatio once again. *sigh*

I liked how in 'Burned' we saw a softer side of their relationship. Horatio was tough as nails when it came to figuring out what was going on with Ryan and gambling, but when he was fired he had this sincere look on his face, and seemed genuinely sad. And especially when Rya came to him the enxt episode, confused and in need of a friend, and Horatio told him he's be there for him and that the team wouldn't give up on him. It was sweet, and showed the better side of both characters. The Miami writers didn't slaughter that storyline, and it really worked out and I liked it in the end.

The only time Horatio has called Ryan Ryan was in 'Cop Killer' when they ambushed the supermarket, guns drawn, to find that kid, (Patrick) tied up. Now: s6, hopefully Horatio will eb able to call Ryan by his first name, damnit.

Okay Stephanie I think that I've given him enough hugs and hot chocolate and other things . You can have him now! (that sounds weird)

Yea I agree with you guys that Horatio calling Ryan "Mr. Wolfe" is annoying!. I mean how would Horatio like it if Ryan called him "Mr. Caine" all the time? But hope fully he knows Ryan's first name now.

stephanie20, please remember not to double post. You have up to 24 hours if need be, to edit your initial post. Thanks! :)

I know Ryan should have opened up in Burned, but the thing is, H never gave him a reason to! H always keeps Ryan at a distant, and it must be hard for Ryan to completely trust him like Eric and Calleigh too. He was scared and in trouble, so I don't blame him for not wanting to risk telling someone. I'm beginning to wonder if H would have even helped him, or been able to.

It's hard to interpret Horatio's feelings and actions. (maybe only for me). It was so strange for me that he smiled at Ryan at the end of Burned as Ryan left the building.
I tink that Horatio wanted to help, but a) Ryan lied and b) Ryan broke the promise he gave H in 'Death Emiment'.
In ending scene between them in 'Kill Switch' was great. Horatio smiled slightly as Ryan told him that he won't abandon this team. I think he was proud of him that Ryan takes responsibility for his actions.
I think in Season 6 Horatio will have a talk with Stetler.

So, Horatio has called Ryan Ryan, for definite sure two times. Possible three. It looks like they do it once per season..

Season three: Cop Killer
Season four: Urban Hellraisers
Season five: Death Eminent (to be determined)

I was confused at the way Horatio smiled as Ryan was leaving the building. I hope that after this, perhaps they will get closer. It's been a while since they've worked a case alone together, and I think that would be a great way to bring Ryan back. As in, he's back on the team, but he has to be under the watchful eye of Horatio for a set amount of time.

Yup. Horatio did call Ryan by his name but before he did he called him Mr. Wolfe. So yea it probably is once in a blue moon that Horatio calls Ryan by his first name.

he also called him Ryan in Skeletons.

H: Wait a minute, Ryan, there's one missing.

and have you guys noticed that as the seasons go on Ryan is starting to turn into "mini-H" He went from t shirts and jeans to full suits. plus i once saw him wearing H like sunnies.

oh and Jon's Birthday is coming up in like 2 months!!!

Wow what episode was that with the H sunnies? I don't remember. But in 'Death Eminent' right after Horatio said Ryan he went back to Mr. Wolfe right away :p

same in Urban Hellraisers. H said "Ryan what did that mean?" and the after Ryan showed H the game H said something then "Mr. Wolfe"

Yeah, exactly, that's also strange. Even though once in awhile H calls him Ryan, the next scene he is always back to Mr. Wolfe. I still wonder why this is happening. I mean, do you think TPTB will explain this, give a reason to why this happens, or that they just think it's the way it should be, like calling Natalia Nat and stuff like that, so they will just keep it?! Anyway, I think it's weird.

I haven't seen some of the episodes that you're talking of season 5, but it leaves me so sad to think that Ryan is going to get fired after doing things wrong. :( I don't want him to be sad or anything...

I doubt they will explain that. When do they explain anything??? I really think that the season opener will show Ryan rehired with no explantion of how or why. That is just my opinion.
