That's awesome!!! I'm probably going as a dominatrix for halloween, for the school day at least. At night, I'm probably going as Elphaba from Wicked, green and all, and going to see the show in Toronto.

But I might do the Maureen catsuit, since it's so ME.

Ooher!!! Thanks tuesdaymorning!!! I've seen those on the RENT official movie site, but I love an oppurtunity to watch then again!!!

<edit> Considering I always have Idina icons, guess who my idol is? LOL. Honestly, I think I love Idina as much as you love Rosario. Too bad Idina's married, *grumble* But Taye's a hottie, a super hottie, so it's all good. In fact, they're probably the hottest couple ever.
 
:) Just watched the movie again last night. My little sis is more obessed then I am. She has seen it at least three more times then me. Every time one of her friends are over she asks me if she can watch Rent with them. After a while it does get kind of annoying though. (Her asking to see the movie, not the movie itself.)

I watched it last night as well. For some reason I kept rewinding Goodbye Love like a trillion times. I just love that song for some reason. And I was going around saying "Hey bum, get your ass off the Range Rover." like all day. And then my sister was like "What is that from?" and I was like "0_0 I have so much to teach you."
 
Are me and my best friend the only people who can't stand the song I'll Cover You? It is like the ultimate sappy love song. I hate sappy love songs. I still know all the words but I tend to skip it if I am just listening in my room.
 
I love I'll Cover You, but you know what song I really DON'T like?

"your eyes" bothers me too. i don't know.

but the only version i like of "i'll cover you" is the reprise when collins is up there on the altar bawling like a baby and singing his heart out :( *tear*

gets me every time.

i want that at my funeral. the "i'll cover you" reprise sung beautifully by a pretty black man.
 
the reprise is good in the actual movie but on the soundtrack- no.

"Your Eyes" is not excellent but it isn't bad either.
 
I love I'll Cover You. Jess L Martin. Heck yes and then Joann all comes in with the "so with a thousand sweet kisses." I love that.

And I don't really like "Your Eyes" that much either. To me there's just not enough of it.
 
"I'll Cover You" the singing and music itself isn't bad but the syrupy lyrics *gags* I can't stand so much sweetness in one song, can't.
 
I can understand where you're coming from.

But I'm a huge fan of syrupy love songs, maybe because I watch Love Actually all the time...

I just love when Joanne comes in in that song too, it's so amazing!

Oh, and wish me luck, guys!!! I'm goign to help a guy friend watch RENT for the first time EVER, because he's scared to see Jesse L Martin playing in anything but Law and Order. So I'm going to have to ease it into him gently.

aww, poor guy. after RENT, see if you can find the tv version of "A Christmas Carol" that was done recently. jesse was the Ghost of Christmas Present.

i love jesse, in case you haven't noticed.
 
Oooh!!! Any idea where I can find that movie? I bet Jesse was great!!! I'd love to see it!!!

And yeah, I've been easing this guy into musicals for a while. I made him listen to Defying Gravity from Wicked and when he realised that he loved the song he was so embarassed that he went home!!!!
