Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

In the Toronto Star, every Sunday they have the top ten shows of that week.
CSI is always number one, unless a re-run.
Grey's Anatomy isn't even on the top ten.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

CSI did make number 4 I think in People's top 10 shows of the year. Miami and NY made further down the list.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

In terms of ratings, CSI placed third for last week. In terms of viewers it was second. Ratings, Grey's was 13th. In terms of viewers, Grey's was 14th.

CSI: 12.949 million
Grey's: 9.135 million

29.5%

From last week, CSI is down 14.3%. Grey's is down 9%.

NBC was airing its new shows during their timeslots.

Last week comparison:
CSI: 15.116 million
Grey's: 9.997 million

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

For anyone still interested in placing a bet, if CSI dipped the same amount from episode-to-episode that last year's 10-11 underwent, its ratings would be: 12% which would place them at: 20.463 million.

If Episode 11 dropped the same amount from its Season 6 counterpart as this season has dropped on average in comparison to Season 6, its number would be: 20.503.

So basically it has a good shot of beating its usual numbers this year by simply breaking out of 20 million.

Which I think it can do, definitely.

The second half of the season saw a dip in the ratings (not huge, but noticeable), so it wouldn't be hard for CSI to get back on par with its usual numbers.

This is an interesting artic about How Tastes Differ in Households how some women prefer "GA" while one guy loves CSI,& how CSI got an all over best category... and a overview of other shows as well ;)

Did I miss anyone? Does anyone else want to lay down their bet before tomorrow night?

Something that will likely affect the ratings: Grey's will be a repeat tomorrow night.

I honestly don't think The O.C. draws enough of an audience to really affect the show's ratings all that much. Plus, if anything you would assume The O.C. audience would be more likely to enjoy GA's storylines. You never know, though. People are versatile.

Of course, this also means that Melinda Clarke will be released from her contract provided the CW doesn't pick The O.C. up (which is unlikely). Big guest stars help ratings and if TPTB desire to bring her back (and I'm sure they would), the ratings could be bumped up slightly.
