The Futon Critic took those numbers down, and I usually get my numbers from Reuters or Zap2it because one of them always posts audience numbers rather than just ratings, like futon critic. But thank you for the warning - I'm sorry for the rule-break.

*blinks* Wow... so not expecting that.

I agree that they did a lousy job of advertising this episode. I barely saw anything for it, and by the time I saw the episode, I couldn't even remember what it was about. Considering it was the end of the miniature serial, more people should have been watching.

*points to Sarahvma's banner* Can I get one of those? I have cookies :) Though I'm not sure who I'm supposed to be asking.

you should be asking ME, lol. sure, i'll make one for you shortly. Congrats!

well in the Talk News Feed, they claimed CSI won with Grey's easily this week, they didn't loose. but i'm not sure if this is what you said sarah, b/c you put so many numbers and all that i was a bit lost, lol.

SO, are you sure the numbers you posted are correct? CSI got 23.something million?

ETA: Dragon, i've got one question, would you like to be a Wiener or a Winner? lol

Yep! But those are just fast nationals. CSI always goes up in the finals. They may beat Grey's numbers yet.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

CBS says that CSI was the number one scripted series for all of November sweeps. Its average beat both Grey's and Desperate Housewives by about a million viewers.

While not a huge victory, seeing as it was just one month, it was during a very influential time - sweeps.

As an FYI, the "Living Legend" Thanksgiving numbers aren't included, nor will Grey's numbers from that week be, in any official tallies done by either network. The reason is because if an episode airs on a Holiday, it's considered a "special" rather than a regular first-run showing.

oh really? that's so awesome, i'm really happy. finally, they're coming back to the good shape. the ratings are lower, which is obviously caused by Thursday being packed with a bunch of great shows at the same time, but the popularity itself stays on the same level.

    this is great news.

    Way to go guys!

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

    Hey Sara,

I am totally confused. I thought the numbers (below) were the fast nationals for last week's episode:

    Final Numbers:

    Grey's Anatomy 24.01
    CSI 23.72

Were those from the week before? The numbers in the quote are correct for the 12/7 show, right?

All these numbers make me dizzy.

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

The Grey's number was the final number from the week before. Because CSI was a re-run then, I posted Grey's fast national and CSI's re-run number in the first post. The numbers you see there are Grey's final numbers and CSI's fast nationals - I'm really sorry for the confusion.

Either way - the ratings taht I just posted are what both shows got for this past week, and on the charts you can see what both of their final ratings were for the newest tenth episode.

Does that make sense or am I talking in circles? lol.

I remember now that you were comparing them new-to-new and rerun-to-rerun. You did tell us that before, I just got mixed up. Thank you for explaining it!

Re: CSI Ratings versus Grey's Anatomy

No problem! I kind of debated doing it that way because of the day switch, but it doesn't seem to be that big a difference for either show.

Okay - it's very early, but if people want to set their bets on Leaving Las Vegas which airs on January 4th, they can do so now:

    I'm going to bet...

    22.4 million

well, i'm gonna say 24. it will be the first ep after the break, my guess is that they'll advertise it a lot and more people than usual will tune in.
