Pac Story: Magic Under New York Bridge

During supper, Mac and Macster, pulled the tree in from the backyard. "Come on dad, I'm hungry, pull your weight". "Listen son...in about five seconds, I'm going to throw you in that snowbank". "Haa...dream on old daddy, you can't even pull a tree". Dropping the tree, Mac chased Macster around the yard, caught him, tossed him above his shoulder, and tackled him into the snow, tickling him. "Now who's the old man"? asked Mac. "Okay, okay, sorry dad, you are not old, you are Hercules, now stop dad, stop, giggled Macster.

Helping his son up, they finally managed to drag the tree in. "Wonderful guys", said Peyton. "Daddy, how long before we decorate it"? asked Jools with excitement. "Shortly after supper love, it has to have some time, for the branches to spread". "Dad....did you concider us getting a dog yet"? asked Lisa. "No Lisa, I haven't, what I have concidered right now, is sitting down to mom's lasagna, and garlic bread".

During dinner, the Taylor's discussed their day. "Jools, how was your day love"? asked Peyton. "It was great mom, they are going to use my Science Project, in the school fair, and I may win a prize". "Oh, that's wonderful love". "Lisa...your day, asked her mom. "Er....umm...it was alright, played some baseball, got to be team captain in basketball, and made a beautiful christmas present for dad in woodshop". "Wow...for me, what is it sweetheart"? "I can't tell you that dad, you will have to wait and see, but you are going to love it".

Mac had no doubt about loving it, as his Lisa loved working with her hands, and she had amazing talent when it came to making things". "Okay...now to Macster, how was your day son"? "Typical, detention". "Detention for what"? asked Mac. "For playing target practice with the empty pop cans". "You didn't, said Mac. "Couldn't help it dad, I want to be a dective, and to do that, I need to practice, even if it is only on cans, with BB's". "I suppose the teacher has confiscated another BB gun"? "Yeah, sorry dad, I'll get it back, I promise".

After dinner, Jools and her mom did the dishes, Macster headed outside, to play target practice, while Lisa, helped her dad, fluff the tree, and position the lights. "Geez dad...this is one massive tree". "I know sweetheart, that's why I need you to get the ladder, climb up, and put up the Angel tonight". "Really dad...I get to do the Angel this year"? "Yup...I pass the Taylor Angel onto you, treat her well, and hang her straight". "I will dad, I promise, said Lisa, kissing her daddy's face with kisses.

When Peyton and Jools walked in, they watched Mac and Lisa, interact. Peyton could see the hurt in Jools eyes, for Mac did have a tendency to pay more attention to Lisa, and Macster, then her. "It's okay love, Daddy loves you just as much". "I know mom, it's just I wish, I was more like Lisa". "Well I don't, your dad and I, have out hands full with those two, with you, we know, we don't have to worry, and for that we are greatful, more then you will ever know". Giggling, Jools hugged her mom. "Hey....where is daddy's hug, young lady"? Running to her dad, Mac picked her up, and squeezed her tight. "I love you Jools". "I love you too daddy".

"Well then, go get your brother, and let's get this tree trimmed".

Somebody mentioned a dog? A wonderful tipical day at the Taylor residence. As out of real life.
El, welcome back.
Luving, you just gotta love that Christmas bannner and icon.

I like "You Are Hercules"

Hmmm. A dog? Or Lasagna? Dog? Lasagna? With garlic bread. Hmmmmmmmmmm... :p

A vibrant, life spilling off the page kind of chapter, LMH, very sweet and fun ;) :D

And thanks for all the welcomes, I've missed yas :D

When Lisa went outside to find Macster, he was firing at the cans lined up against the wall. "Look big brother, I'll show you how it's done". Taking the BB gun from her brother, Lisa fired three single shots, knocking over all three cans. "How do you do that Lisa"? "It's all in the way, you aim, and hold the gun. Showing her brother how to lean into the trigger, aim and fire, Macster knocked over he remaining cans. "Holy Shoot, I did it, thanks sis, oh that's amazing". "Is isn't it, now dad wants us in to trim the tree".

Heading back inside, Peyton and Jools were just coming out wih the hot chocolate, and marshmallows. "Hey dad, I knocked down three cans, all at once, you should have seen it". "Wow, I guess you and I will have practice together later". Grabbing the bulbs, Lisa opened the package, and passed them out. "Dad, these special bulbs we have, can you tell us the story behind them again"? asked Lisa. "Of course sweetheart, what we will do, is leave those five bulbs for last, and as we hang them, I'll tell the story".

While Peyton and Mac left the room, Lisa, Jools, and Macster decided to have a tinsel fight. Opening the package, Macster threw it on Lisa's shirt, while Lisa threw her on Macster's head, and Jools threw hers on both of them. Running around the den, Mac and Peyton came in, just as the three of them were tossing it, and sure enough, it landed on Mac, covering him from head to toe. Peyton couldn't help but laugh...."oh Mac, you look like a christmas tree". "Oh really, you think it's funny love, capturing her in his arms, he yelled....."get her kids". Sure enough, the kids threw the tinsel all over their mom.

With everyone laughing, Mac called a stop to it. "Okay guys, it's time for Lisa to hang the Angel". "Oh dad, before that, can you pleas tell us the story on our bulbs again"? asked Jools. "Sure love, gather around the fire, and cuddle up. Lisa cuddled into Macster, and Jools cuddled into her mom.

Once upon a time, there was King, and this King was very lonely in his castle. He had lived that way for several years, after his wife died. Now the King knew he needed love and family in his life, so one day, while at work, he met a beautiful lady named Peyton. She had come to his city from England, to work as a ME for NYPD. Now the King was very reserved at this time, and he never for the life of him, thought of any women fulfilling his void.

But as he got to know Peyton, he became more at peace with the happenings around him. Then one night, Peyton invited him out to see a band called "Under the NY Bridge". At first the King didn't want to accept, but thinking about it, he agreed, putting on his coat, the King, and Peyton left and when they arrived, they sat down, and waited for the band. "Come on dad, get to the part where mom was cold", said Lisa.

"I'm getting there, patients love". As the King, and Peyton waited, he noticed the lovely lady beside him was shivering, and he said...."Are you cold Peyton"? "A little Mac, she had replied. So getting up, the King went back to his car, and grabbed the blanket, bringing it back, and covering them both, in the warmth. "Jeez dad, come on, give us more", said Macster. "Listen, if you keep interrupting me, I'll never get this story finished". "Yeah....so quiet boyo", said Lisa. Tickling his sister's side, she giggled.

"Shall I continue"? "please dad, were sorry, said Macster. "Okay...as the music began to play, the King watched Peyton's expressions, and found himself falling in love with the English beauty, "are you still cold love, he had said, and as she replied yes, he wrapped his arm around her, and held her close. "Better Peyton"? "Much Mac, thank you". After the band had finished, the King took his Peyton to a little Cafe, before taking her home.

"Dad, this is taking way to long, skip it, and get to the bulbs please", said Macster.

Couldn't agree more Nat, and just when it get interesting we get a cliffhanger  I know Linda *patient girls!!*

"Oh fine, so impatient you are just like your mother", he teased. "Excuse me, smiled Peyton, I believe your son is more like you everyday, and if he doesn't stop with that sinsiter grin of his, we are going to have girls pounding down the door". "Don't worry bout that ma, said Lisa, for I'll be here to pound the girls, cause none of them are good enough for my brother". Macster laughed, you go sis, and I'll be sure to do the same for you". "Okay, enough, back to the story.

"On Christmas eve, the King, invited Peyton to his home, and as they cuddled by the fireplace, the King pulled out a little box. "My darling Peyton, would you marry me, and become my queen"? Peyton had looked at the King with shock, for she never thought she would be a Queen, and with tears streaming down her face, she accepted the King's proposal, and without family or friends, the King married his Queen, on that Christmas Eve in the tiny little chapel across the way".

"Awe dad....that is so lovely, but please get to the bulbs", said a teary eyed Jools. "Okay, with the King and Queen married, they stood infront of their tree, each with a little package hidden behind their backs, and as they exchanged them, they smiled, and dangled them, as Peyton said...."Oh Mac, this is so beautiful, such colors, and the date of our first christmas together, with our names upon them". Smiling from the memory of her husbands story, she began to tear up.

Continuing Mac said...."These bulbs are special my Queen, and as we love each through the years, we will add to our tree, with the bulbs of our children". Then the King picked up his Queen, and carried her to the fireplace, laying her upon the rug, he loved her in great passion, and it was on that night, they conceived their first child, who would come to be known as Prince Taylor, and on thier second christmas together, the King and Queen hung their Prince's bulb, with his name and date upon it".

"Oh dad, this is so sweet, and look mom's crying again, said Macster, as he and his sister got up, and cuddled in between her and Jools. "Sweetheart, you okay"? "I'm wonderful Mac, please continue". "Okay....it was on their third christmas together, that the King and Queen, had hung two more bulbs, representing their Princesses into the Royal family, and now each christmas, these precious bulbs hang from our christmas tree, which will soon be added by another, for the King and Queen, were expecting their fourth child, into the Royal family, The End".

Looking around, Mac seen his whole family were teary eyed, and as Mac passed out their bulbs, they hung them on the Taylor tree, one at a time, as they formed a circle, and embraced each other in their love.

Later that evening, with more hot cocoa, and popcorn, the Taylor family sat beside the fireplace, and played a game of "Monopoly". "Come on dad....said Macaster, you can't buy Boardwalk, you haven't even been around the board once yet". "Shh...quiet Macster, and you'll find a little something extra under the tree", winked Mac. "Hey you...nice try, said Peyton, no cheating, this is every man/women for themselves". Pouting at his wife, Mac put back Boardwalk. "Aww..it's okay dad, I'll buy it for you if I land it", said Jools. "That's my girl, said Mac, as he kissed her pretty blonde hair.

As the game continued, Jools was cleaning house. "Damn dad, she's gonna win again", said Macster. *Ding dong*. "I'll get it dad", said Lisa. Answering the door, she seen Uncle Don standing there with gifts. "Uncle Don...she said, as she jumped into his arms. "Ouff...easy there Lisa, I have a handful of gifts". "Sorry Uncle Don, come in". "Who is it Lisa"? asked Peyton. "It's Uncle Don, he brought presents". Walking into the den, with Lisa in his one arm, and gifts in the other, he said....."Ummm....some help here would be nice, as I seem to have a cling on". Giggling Lisa jumped down.

"Oh...."Monopoly, cool, can I play"? asked Don. "Sure Uncle Don, you can take my place, seeing Jools is winning again". Laughing Jools said...."haa...loser, scared of your little sister"? "Damn right, I'm telling you Jools, you got all the brains", said Macster as he kissed her smartly on the cheek. "Love ya sis". "I love you too, smiled Jools. "Okay, okay, said Lisa, let's kick Uncle Don's a....". "Don't you dare say it young lady, said Mac. "Opps.....sorry dad". *Ding dong*. "I'll get it, said Macster, seeing I'm done playing".

Opening the door, Danny was standing there with Lindsay. "Hey Uncle Danny, Lindsay, come on in". Now Lindsay could never figure out, why Macster insisted on calling her by her first name, instead of Aunt. "Dad, it's Uncle Dan, and Lindsay". "It's about time you got here", said Don, I waited half an hour for you two". "Sorry, we got detained, winked Danny". "Haa...I bet you did, giggled Lisa. "Listen Lisa, for being an eight year old, you sure are wise", said Don. "I know Uncle Don, and thanks". "That's my girl, said Danny, just like your Uncle, I taught you well kiddo".

After putting the "Monopoly game away, Lisa, Jools and Macster, headed into the kitchen to make coffee for the adults. "Come on Lisa, move your butt", said Macster, as he nudged her out of the way. "Hey....watch it boyo, or I'll smack ya one", she giggled. "Come on sis, here and now, I'll take you on". As Lisa and Macster wrestled, Jools laughed, as Lisa knocked Macster on his butt. "Good one Lisa, get him, said Jools still giggling. "Oh yeah sis, said Macster, as he grabbed his sister, and tickled her. "Hey, hey, what's going on in here"? said Mac, as he entered and seen the coffee grinds on the floor.

"Nothing dad, we are just playing", said Macster. "Well, you can stop now, clean up this mess, and then get back in the den for carol singing". "Ewww....I hate singing dad, can't we skip carol's this year"? asked Macster. "Listen young man, you have two choices, one...you can sing, or two...you can go to bed". "Ohhhh....fine, I'll sing, but no "Silent Night", I can never hit those high notes". "Deal, now get this cleaned up". Leaving the kitchen Mac heard his son say..."Haaa... we get to hear Uncle Danny sing off key again, remember last year, when we sang "We wish you a Merry Christmas, and Uncle Danny squacked like a chicken". As the girls giggled, Mac had to agree, Danny couldn't sing, but he had to give him props for trying.

TBc...

Mac, cheat? Never! Who needs Boardwalk anyways...?? Awwwww. Pouty Mac :D

Gotta love uncles Don and Danny to bring prezzies and pick up a few pointers from; makes it hard not to be wise, eh? :p  course, it's apparent who's got the brains in the outfit there, tycoon in the making perhaps :p

The only issue I'd have is the spilling of precious coffee on da floor - buuuuuut iffen it's in the interest of kicking a keister, well, some sacrifices are necessary to undertake :p

As for the chappie above this one, very touching and lovely too :D

love the way you're writing about these kids and the family altogether ;)

Great update LMH :D

Great going Linda. El said it all. Wonders what's next upon your sleeve. Oh... and don't worry about that kitchen. I rented ya a tornado-cleaner.

I loved the kids 'fighting' And them talking about Danny's singing :p

I'm curious about why Macster doesn't call Lindsay Aunt though!

After the kitchen was clean, Macster, Lisa, and Jools headed back into the den, with the coffee. "It's about time kiddies", said Danny. "It's Macster's fault, he was wrestling with Lisa again", giggled Jools. "Did you win Lisa"? "Of course Uncle Danny, did you expect anything less"? "Nope, that's my girl". Putting down the coffee's, Lisa jumped on Uncle Don's knee, and kissed his cheek. "I love ya, Uncle Don". "I love you too Lisa". Grabbing his guitar, Mac began to tune it.

"Are you ready to sing Uncle Danny, laughed Macster. "Of course, I love to sing, I have the voice of an Angel". Everyone laughed. "Sure you do Uncle Danny, said Jools, trying to contain her giggles. "Oh stop now, said Lindsay, he doesn't sound that bad", she smiled. "Uhhh... keep telling yourself that", said Don with deep laughter. "Poor Uncle Danny, it's okay, we still love ya", said Lisa. "Mom....are you feeling okay"? you still look a little pale", said Macster. "I'm fine hun, don't worry".

"Okay...all keyed up, what should we sing first"? asked Mac. "How about "Jingle Bells", said Lisa. "Jingle Bells" it is". As they started singing, Jools grabbed the bells from the table, and began jingling them. "Oh...jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, oh what fun it is too ride, in a one horse open sleigh, hey". Everyone laughed, for Uncle Danny was singing off key again, causing the others too. "I'm ....sorry.....laughed Lisa, I can't sing, poor Uncle Danny". Stopping the song, Mac waited for the kids to settle down.

"Shall we try this again", said their dad, losing patients. "Okay dad, we're ready", said Lisa. As they began again, they finally finished the song. "Oh that was wonderful, said Peyton, good job Danny". Danny stood up and bowed, "solo now". "Noooooooooo!!!! they all yelled with laughter. "Well fine then, said Danny, how about some charade's". "Oh, yeah, said the kids". "I'm first, yelled Lisa". "You're always first Lisa, so this time you should be last", said Macster. "Listen boyo, how about I finish you off"? "That's enough....said Mac, we'll draw names".

Well into the evening, the Taylor family played charade's.
