Apparently Carrie is coming back as part of the Dan storyline...of course he survives and from what I saw it has something to do with his recovery from the accident he was in (can we have more evil Dan please??)

Thank you peaches for your incredibly long and in depth answer to my question. :D I think Sophia Bush has matured to be a great actress and it showed in her interactions with Daphne Zuniga (her mom) quite well. In fact I think the whole cast stepped it up rather nicely (still don't think Chad and Hilarie are that great but all they do in the show is talk, or rather, whine about how their soulmates don't love them :rolleyes:)

I was most impressed with Bethany Joy Galeotti's massive improvement since the first season. And I hope we get to see her interact with Jamie more this upcoming season. It would be nice to see her be with her own son once in a while. Although Godmommy Brooke is awesome (anyone notice that Peyton has no scenes with the kid? Does anyone else find that bizzare??)

Would it make sense to have scenes with Peyton? Jamie spends time with his god parents cause Lucas is (Daddy? :lol:) his uncle and Brooke does seem a bit more maternal. I wouldn't be suprised if Peyton would be the type to be apprehensive about kids anyway (poor girl lost two mums, that's gotta mess you up) but that's a different topic for another thesis. :lol:

I don't see the point in Peyton/Jamie scenes. Peyton & the youths should just stick to her being able to speak with awkward teenage girls, the girl in her old house and Mia who she has taken under her wing. I like that side of Peyton. It would seem like the writers are trying to turn her into this person she clearly isn't. Like trying to make Brooke a 'Minx' please God, no. :lol:

Lucas must go away now. Least for a little bit. :D

Edit: Megan has made an excellent point regarding her relationship with Jake's daughter, Jenny. Seriously - if anything solidifies my point more, there you go. Any time she gets close to someone they leave. Yes, people said it was sooo angsty with her 'People Always Leave' art (hey, she was a teenager, if they're not angsty then we start worrying) but for her it was quite true. Maybe she is now at an all out stage in her life where she does go - feck it, I'm not letting anyone else in. I asked for time and my ass of a boyfriend dumps me and proposes to someone else.

Lucas, you're bloody 22!!! What the hell is the rush?

What about Peyton and Jenny?! :p They were adorable together...and this was all in high school too! She should have scenes with Jamie if there is any hope of him being her future nephew too. I miss Jake :(

EDIT: Wait so you are saying that if Peyton gets close to Jamie, then Lucas is going to leave her? :confused: Jamie should have nothing to do with what Lucas does...Lucas is just an ass all on his own! Not just an ass, but a stupid ass. :brickwall: Jake had very decent reasons for why he needed to leave, dealing with crazy ex-girlfriends who cuddle up to Flack...mind going bonkers right now

Amen! Lucas go bye bye! Although I am interested to see what the episode that CMM will be writing will be like. Along with the episode that Bethany is going to direct.

Peyton was sweet with Jenny, but I agree I could see her being a bit apprehensive otherwise. In the earlier seasons I loved Peyton, and thought Hilarie Burton was fantastic, but last season she wasn't as great and Peyton was a bit annoying, apart from, as you say with Mia, I liked that storyline. I love her songs too.

But I don't know whether it's because everyone else stepped up that Hilarie didn't stand out to me, or whether the writing has just turned Peyton, and to an extent Lucas, into whiners.

I agree Bethany has much improved, so too has James. But I love James Lafferty anyway, he is super duper hot...

But I don't know, I guess they may have improved so much that the others seem worse? i don't knkow if thatmakes any sense?

The episode Bethany is going to direct sounds interesting, and more Haley/Jamie scenes would be great. And anyone Jamie scenes.

I guess it does come down to the writing once again. Yes I'm slightly biased cause I am a HB fan but you gotta see what I mean. When the writers give her a good storyline, she excels but when they don't want her to be the main focus of attention they give her the whiny ex gf line. I'm not saying Peyton ought to be front centre the whole time, far from it but I don't agree with her having to be our mopey girl when she's not main.

This girl comes through so much and yet we're supposed to believe she goes into a ball and sobs her heart out? It's like when they made Brooke a 'minx' (for want of a better word).

The times we don't have her on the main stage, can they not just make out she's happily ticking along with her career. She's scouting for new bands? Wheeling & dealing? Be realistic! I could go on in the subject but I shan't bore you.

My point is that I don't think that anyone overly shines in their role more than the others. They've all come a looong way from Season 1. Long way! :lol:

yay for more Jamie scenes, preferably with Skills & Brooke. :D

I'm a HB fan too, I think she's great, and I totally agree that she can only do so much when she has not so great whiny storylines. But yeh I totally get what you mean. When she's not in a main storyline, she's basically having something go wrong and all we get is Peyton miserable again. Yeh, she's been through a lot. Can't they just let her be happy now! Have you heard about the UK convention thing for OTH? I think HB was supposed to be going the last I heard.

More Jamie scenes all around!!

What is this about a rumour going round that (oy vey! doesn't even cover it) that Peyton's biological dad (really don't like using that term at all, Larry is her dad) is to make an appearance in Season 6? Heard this a while ago but there has been no outlet.

This is the last thing I wanna see is another parent rolling into town. If they wanna bring someone back, how bout Derek? Not sure bout the spelling, don't kill me Meg :lol: Psycho or her brother. Psycho would be interesting, reformed criminal coming to make peace. Just no soul searching over someone who has never been around.

I'm guessing if he does he'll show up, be a moron. There will be tears, whining. If she's back with Lucas, they'll have to break up just for some added drama! the 'dad' will leave and Lucas will pick up the pieces and they'll all live happily ever after.

Haha you could actually write the scripts and they'd be almost right I guess lol. Derek returning would be interesting. Either Derek. I actually really enjoyed the whole psycho derek storyline, it was a good one I thought. More crap on Peyton, but a good storyline.

It's from rogue events. It says that, subject to work commitments, OTH guests include: Hilarie Burton, Bevin Prince, Emmanuelle Vaugier(which i guess it good for you new york fans too?) Ravens will take place on the 10th - 12th October 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Chester. It's OTH and supernatural combined, and costs loads. I don't know if there's any newer info than that I got that a few months ago!

Bring on both Dereks! Though it will remind me of my least favorite season. I could not STAND season 4! Dan and Lucas were the main reasons along with Dante.

I thought Dante brought some flavour to the show. Lightened it up and made it ultra realistic. :lol:

Did you NOT see the episode where Nathan is working in the factory??? Also the same episode where we find out Bevin raises her parents not the other way around :lol: Skill's dad was also Dr. Goodman on Bones though ;)

Yeh, good old Dr Goodman/Skill's dad. I remember thinking when I watched it oh look it's the good ole head of the Jeffersonian lol. That ep where Nathan was working in the factory was so sad, and he went home all shattered and looking all sad.

I feel the same about Mouth. His act is getting boring. I forgot he got a job elsewhere! :eek: I think Mouth is going to be the one to leave the show.

Hey AppleJack :) Nice to see you popping in here. Nothing wrong with liking Leyton, I'm more Leyton than Brucas, really, but season 5 spoiled it a bit for me, i didn't feel it then, after the end of season 4. I don't know. i guess we'll see what happens :D
