I'm a Smacked shipper, but I'm happy that Mac is actually dating. Poor guy, I don't wanna see him so sad. Even though Claire is only brought on to be a love interest, she wasn't as bad as I thought. Oh and she looks an awful like Angelina Jolie...

But I actually prefer Angell to Peyton.

I gotta say that I am happy to see Mac in a relationship this season. He really seemed to be enjoying being with her at the opera. Wow, work always seems to interfere with Mac's downtime.

I liked the confrontation between Mac & Peyton when she defended Hawkes. She was right. Mac should have told her he didn't know that Hawkes knew the victim.

It was so cute at the end when Mac called her a "big spender". The cupcake with the candle was so sweet. I hope she stays around for a while. Even if we don't get to see her very often.

I was so happy to see her back, Mac looked so happy to be with her at the opera he didn’t even pay to much attention to it :lol:.
I was so surprise to see her confront Mac like that, but I guess Mac knew he should have told her since he didn’t say nothing back. That or he’s whipped :lol: :devil:

But will she really leave or will they just have her in an episode here and there? Maybe he or someone else will mention her so everybody knows she's still around.

She and Mac have supposedly been together for around a year, I'd hate to think it would just come to an abrupt end. Mac's been through so much when he lost Claire.

Wonder how it will impact Mac when Claire's son shows up? Would that cause any problems between Mac & Peyton?

I think she really has a possibility of sticking around for awhile. Maybe a ep everynow and then like their doing now?

My poor Macky.

I think it will impact a bit, because he'll probably bring up Claire and it'll bring out some emotional moments for Mac

I'm surprised nobody has posted in here after "Silent Night."

The scene in the morgue was very well-done, with the literal and figurative distance between them and the tension there. When Mac came to see her later on, I'll admit I got a bit teary-eyed. ;) He's not very good at saying the right thing, but when he went up and hugged her, I thought it was very sweet. And what he said was spot on--he'll probably continue to be hesitant and awkward, but it's time for him to move on and make a good thing work. ;)

I'm interested to see where the relationship will go now that the writers seem to be keeping it long-term. :)

I do NOT like the Mac/Peyton ship. I"m a big-time Mac/Stella shiper.
Just wanted to register my opinion.
However, I realize this thread is primarily for those viewers who approve of the Mac/Peyton ship, so I'll go away and leave you in peace, rather than hanging around making a nuisance of myself.

Actually, this thread is only for people who like Mac/Peyton. There are debate threads for expressing negative opinions, so I fail to see the point of coming in here to bitch. If I remember correctly, you wanted Peyton going home 'in a bodybag' in the NY forum, so you can understand why it wouldn't be appreciated to come here and say anything. You like Mac/Stella, good for you, now go post in that thread, please.

I just read the review for "Silent Night," and it hit on some good points about these two. :) I'll quote it here:

After Gina expresses concern for him, he marches right back to Peyton and, in a surprising move given his usual restraint, pulls Peyton into an embrace. He tells her he's determined to make their relationship work, and rather than pulling away, she smiles through her tears and agrees. Nothing proves how much Peyton has brought Mac out of his shell like this scene. Who would have thought that the serious stoic of season one would be pulling out all the stops to get the girl in season three?

Absolutely. It was so surprising when Mac actually walked up and pulled her close to him. A hug really shouldn't be shocking, but it's just so unlike Mac that it stood out. The scene wasn't long, but it said a lot for how Mac feels about Peyton. I expect that they'll be in for more tension and difficulties along the way, but it's nice to know that he's determined not to lose something that he knows is worthwhile. :D

i was so happy after watching it! during the entire episode i was like do something make a move she need more than words! i'm really happy they are still together they are made for each other!

Islandgirl, I don't really see the point in your post if it was only to come in here and express your dislike of Mac/Peyton. There was no discussion whatsoever only your statement of dislike. It upsets the shippers who do like Mac/Peyton (see the post after yours) and it wasn't necessary.

You can take your dislike of the ship to the The Great Ship Debate - CSI:NY thread. Please refrain from talking negatively about Mac/Peyton in a thread that is devoted to them.

I have to admit, I'm not a regular watch of CSI NY, but I've recently caught the last two episodes and I just wanted to pop in here and say I really like the direction they're going with Mac and Peyton. The last scene at the end of this week's episode (is it "Silent Night"?) was so well done. I think the writers are doing a great job with NY. I totally did not give it enough credit.

So, could anyone give me the kind of downlow on Mac and Peyton? What's their history? Since when was Peyton in the picture etc. As you can see, I'm really new to CSI New York. :p

Hi there Reeble, glad you caught some of NY. :)

There hasn't been much info about Mac and Peyton on the show, actually, but we do know a few things. According to info we got before the season started, they've been together for about a year. Peyton has apparently only recently transferred to the NY Medical Examiner's office, leaving a position at (I believe) Columbia University. Their relationship is still secret, but Mac has been having trouble with the fact that he's in a relationship with someone he works with. In several cases so far this season, there's been some tension between them and it's obvious that Mac doesn't want to cross a personal/professional boundary. I'm interested to see where they go with it from here. :)

^I thought I read somewhere that Peyton worked in the ME's office along with Sheldon et al before going to Columbia for a while (this is the same time where Mac started dating her) and then coming back to the NY offices once again. So, apparently, they've worked with each other prior to her leaving and teaching at the uni.

In any case, I honestly think their relationship hasn't progressed since we saw them in PWM. Despite Mac's heartfelt words in the latest ep, I feel they're essentially in the same boat as they were in the season premiere (that they're both willing to make it work). I hope they move on from that. Mac needs all the lurve he can get (and since he didn't pick me, I'm ok with Peyton, hee)
