Life on Mars

So I am not the only one who feels that a lot of the other networks are making terrible television. I have the biggest problems with NBC and ABC. They never keep shows on I like. And keep airing crap. The only show CBS has cancelled in a long time that I liked was Swingtown.

It will in the finale reveal how he got back to 1973.. so that will be interesting~
The quantum accelerator from Quantum Leap?
Swinging around a planet very fast like Star Trek?
A DeLorean from Back to the Future?
Traveling in the Tardis from Doctor Who?
Using Hiro's power from Heroes?
One of The 4400?
Stumbled into The Time Tunnell?
The Omni pocket watch from Voyagers?
A dream sequence like Dallas?

:guffaw: Maybe, all great BTW, this show is a bit far-fetched but done in a way that makes one think, anything is possibe.. the dream sequence is a strong possiblility, soon we'll all find out:( and then POOF, it's gone!

Oh my frickin' god! What a sweet ending!!! Forget 2008 or 2009?
It was 2035! :guffaw:

And I wondered why the show was called "Life On Mars" :)

I am definitely going to miss Spaceman!

Time for a new show.......I'm going to check out "The Unusual". :)

:( I thought this was a complete fiasco, I didn't get any of it.. his dad beating him up when he'd been dead for years, stealing him which was him as a little kid.. the team from '73' killing him when they weren't even around then. His mom died:confused: how, when and where? and hippy-dippy girl telling him that "no nuts' was "the one" when he was in love with Lisa Bonnet, from 2008, also who said she was in it, and she never was, then the I guess computer tiny robot chip implanted in his brain, & all the hi-tech stuff going on, that I didn't understand.. then they were all on a space ship, I wasn't following any of this, and then it was 2035:eek: very baffling and perplexing and I was going "WHAT" I was disapointed because I wasn't getting any of this. so what did I miss?

It was just all a weird dream for the Spaceman! A crazy dream! You know like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz kind of way. :)

Hmmm why 2008 to 1973? I don't get...but it was fun!

I get the 2035 because they had to sleep a very long time to get to Mars.
I did scratch my head when it came to the Old Lady Sam was reading to in the hospital. That was Annie from '73?

Like I said, I'm buying it on DVD.

I was so confused at first. It took me a few minutes to figure it out. I wanted more though. More explained. Why 1973 and 2008? Why were they cops? Why dream about a man who wasn't his dad, but he said was his dad in the dream. Why was his real dad, Gene, just his mentor at his job in 1973? Who was Lisa Bonet to him in 2008 when he really loved Annie? This left me with so many questions. And I never get answer.

I kinda quit watching this show for the last 2or so episodes but watched the finale and have to say was dissapointed with it, cause it was such a lame way to go...I would have expected that ending to be done back in the 70's on tv shows but come on its 2009!

I am too going to see if the unusuals is any good next week, but not getting my hopes up.

I wasn't disappointed. :)
ITA with Sam going back to 2009 instead of 2035.
At the beginning I never understood why it was called "Life On Mars" until the Finale. And calling Sam "Spaceman" finally made sense to me. :)
I thought it was so cute of Sam calling himself "Luke Skywalker" I love Star Wars!

Yep, I'm going to give The Unusuals a chance.

Nice banner WPRMW thank's. This was in the new TV Guide about the finale~

OUT OF THIS WORLD TURN
Hey, Life On Mars, Bobby Ewing called, and he wants his it-was-all-a-dream gimmick back. The time travel series wraped up for good with a doozy of a reveal: Apparently Sam Tyler is an astronaut, and his mysterious leap from 2008 back to 1973 was really just an intergalactic fantasy as he traveled to Mars in 2035. Love it or hate it, you can't say it didn't surprise you! [It was a disapoinment, it didn't answer what one fan wanted, me~]

What I still don't get is why the Year 1973 - 2008 other than the fact it was filmed in 2008-09? Right?

I had no idea Sam was an Astronaut?
I get the whole-dream-fantasy....whoa...wait a minute?
