This may be the one assignment I'm excited about in french.

 My family's part french and my sis took it in high school (even though no one in our family speaks french :p) and all she knows how to say is 'I don't know'. :p So I'm glad you're excited about a project in french because my sis made it sound rather dull  :p And Jorja's just the icing on the cake, no? ;)

Okie-dokie, so it's my first week of vegetarianism officially today and my family keeps trying to convert me back but I'm not going to ;) It's always been something I've thought about and put on my 'to-do' list but never got around to. I think we all know what (who, rather :p) gave me that extra little push to make my decision! Especially after Loco-Motives.

Yeah, my psycho friend tried to be a vegitarian and we called her 'Veg-All' and just all around teased her...nothing against vegitarianism, but it's just so darn much fun to make fun of this girl...and she caved after a week, the pepperoni proved to her that resistance is futile. I wish that I had the motivation (and not the obsession with BBQ) to do something like that, that's cool.

hey guys it's christmas today here so i wanted to wish y'all a very jorjalicious merry christmas :D

quoth_the_raven how are you doing on being vegetarian?? still trying or did ya give up???

Ann, I didn't know you're a veggie now! Woot, now we're both vegetarians. I think being vegetarian in the USA is a bit harder than here in Holland. I know a lot of people who are vegetarians, and we also have those veggie burgers (well, in America too, I believe, but my friend who's from America says there's less choice in the USA). I think Jorja is really doing a great job, she has been a vegetarian for 19 years already and that's just wow.

I've been one for 2 years now, and I'm actually very proud of myself I've brought it this far already.

17 days now, guys :D And I think it is hard going vegetarian in America, but it really wasn't a hard transition for me. I like vegetables, what can I say? My sister tried to be a vegetarian for a week but she couldn't do it... but she also doesn't like a lot of the foods she'd have to eat. Roosy, 2 years now? My, my, I'm jealous ;) You should be proud of yourself! For Christmas dinner I've already told everyone I'm having a veggie 'meat'loaf and that's final :p It's strange almost.. the thought of meat makes me nauseaous

Oh, and soy milk is da bomb.

19 years! Holy cow (no pun intended ) that's a long time! But it's awesome! I read an article where Jorja said she decided to quit eating meat one day when she was eating a meatball sub and it just 'clicked'. ;)

i want to be one but my whole family is not so i can't really go a day without meat. do you have any sugustions on foods?

No one else in my family's a vegetarian either ;) I have to watch my mom fix up raw ground beef because my entire family is full of meat-eaters. There are tons of brands out there that are alternatives for meat. Morningstar Farms and Gardenburger have some good stuff (Gardenburger have the best veggie burgers ;)). And like I said, soy milk is da bomb :D You can also check out GoVeg.Com for recipes and ideas on what products you should buy. Just make sure you still get protein! That's important.

Sorry if this was OT!

Ya know, I think I could easily become a vegetarian... if it wasn't for Christmas!! I love turkey too much :( :(

You'll bring it as far as I have brought it already, Ann! :)

What would Jorja eat tonight? I think she'll eat a vegetable dish. I love those. :D

A tofu turkey, perhaps? I've never tried it, well I've tried tofu, but not a tofu turkey..

I think if I was a vegetarian, my family would almost make me eat turkey. But then I'd go on about how this turkey got onto our plates, and how would you feel if you were the turkey... then no one would eat... but the turkey would still be sitting there. :(

 I've been doing that and I don't mean to, but I do it  At all of their meals I sound like a talking ad for PETA  :p But everyone teases me so it's only fair :p I got a present and someone said, "There ya go, it's a giant carrot!" :p

Thanks Roosy :D I sure hope so!

If you guys think it's hard to become a vegetarian only imagine how hard it may have been for Jorja! 19 years! (I'm still befuzzled  ) :p

Well, I think once you've gone through the first couple of months being a vegetarian, you're used to it, and it's easy. And when you're starting the idea of how the animals end up on your plate help. :p

You're totally right, Sara. I can't imagine myself eating meat anymore.
Ann, 19 years is a hell of a lot indeed. But I only think that's very good of Jorja. I mean, well, she is one of the celebrities fighting for human and animal rights. And that's what I like about her most. Most celebrities pimp around with their Mercedes Benz-cars and Ferrari-rides and their newest Fur jackets (I love your Loc, btw, Ann :p). Jorja just doesn't do that. She is very aware of the world around her and that's just awesome.

^_^

And I absolutely agree with you, Roos. I've never seen another celebrity quite like Jorja before, and it was so refreshing to hear her views on things and just... I don't even know how to describe it. You don't see her in all the gossip magazines spending $100,000 like it's chump change on useless things, she's out there trying to make a difference. And I once thought that my voice would never be heard in this world because I'm so young.

I now know that young people can do great things.

And this is only my 19th day of vegetarianism but I honestly can't really even bare the smell of meat anymore. It disgusts me. I'm loading up on veggie burgers alright :p
