Main character in CSI New York. Also a very strong female character ^^

RE: Kit4na's discussion of the meeting scene between H/Y at the canal/river???where the heck were they???
I don't know, Kit4na. Honestly that scene bothered me a little. Not that it wasn't played with the usual SM/DC brilliance for sexual tension and unspoken feelings...it's just that the whole "I haven't seen you in a long time" stuff speaks volumes to me. They live in the same city! They have family in common (Ray Jr), and they have tap-danced around these 'almost' feeling for years and they haven't seen each other in a long time???? I would have to ask why the hell not!? Honestly....It really seemed as though the writers are going in a different direction with them. Like they really have no intention of pursuing anything more with H/Y than the occassional casual association and are just not interested in development of a relationship between them. Sure, there were lots of undercurrents going on...but it didn't really seem like it did in season 3, did it? It felt almost like acceptance on his part of what he thinks he can't have and acceptance of knowing that he can't get past those barriers on her part. Also, the fact that she is not listed any any near-future episodes, especially any with Kyle in it, leads me to believe that she is no longer key in H's life and IMO the angst H had for Y is going to be replaced with angst for Kyle. JMO Loved the epi tho and really like where this might be going with Kyle. IMO it was pretty well done. I will say though that Y's little venture out to see Kyle's foster father was a little hokey. In a white suit and heels? My husband just laughed at that. And did anyone else notice that there was an alligator outside of her car when she pulled up? She did. Reacted to it! But got out of the car anyway?!! Did I miss something? Did she use magic alligator repellent or did she feel safe walking past it because her heels were so high that it couldn't have reached bare leg anyway? That was hokey and to me that whole particular scene was my least favorite. Seemed forced and choppy and hard to follow like most of the good parts ended up on the cutting room floor. Again...no offense...JMO

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

Well the alligator was tied to a post .. but yeah you're right. Anyway why would they go through so much trouble to bring her back if they aren't going to develop the H/Y story? IMO they will but they're going to do it really slow. In S1-S3, H/Y was the main story arc now it's just on the backburner, but it's definately still there.

GOD I hope I'm not being too positive :p

I think they are just going to milk it (and then milk it some more) for all they can. Things are just at a standstill development-wise. I'm still hopeful that we will head in the right direction eventually. I may be drawing my pension by then though. ;)

^ Looking good for Season 10 then? ;)

I also liked mid_tip's comments. :D I think you have to be a bit familiar with her posting style!

Pusher, thank you for all the caps and the video. Much appreciated. :)

You mean the bilge water du jour? Guess so. They're brilliantly consistent in their inconsistency and lack of wherewithal, I'll give them that. So another season opener with nothing significant to show for it aside from the Kyle version of "Lassie, Come Home". As for H doing "wounded puppy dog face", he's a champion and full of marshmellowy goodness. S6 and STILL riding the "woe is me" outlook.

Poor Y. Still a pretty package and still not allowed to be anything more. LOVED the alligator. Hmm, Y parallels?

Yes, she's pretty unique. Thought it was a fairly restrained post on her part. Gosh, I hope she's not losing interest!

Agreed and me too re the pension! ;) Luce, after 'Rio', didn't you use an analogy of a car changing gears to reflect the H/Y 'development' or lack thereof? I think we're still in neutral and attempting to go uphill.

Tally, love the alligator analogy. If only the writers were even remotely aware of how symbolic this could be.

You have a good memory Swanny! ;) I think the vehicle is also stalling rather too often. It's certainly not making much progress on it's journey. Time for a major engine overhaul and change of driver maybe?

A year on and little has changed, which is a great disappointment all things considered.

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

Well I still rather have this minor development than having them together already. There were 4 ways this thing could go. They end up together fast, they move forwards, they stay +- put or she stays in Rio. Now number 4 would've been just ridiculous and a very stupid move on the writers part. I'm curious about the next couple of episodes, apparantly there are more things to Horatio's past that we don't know yet.

Thinking of the barriers nr 3 is a pretty logical choice. When H has a thought about something it's very hard to change it and those barriers are a very serious can I call them issue? :)

Anyway why else would they bring her back?! Why , right?! I think when everything is settled down with the news about his son, once he returns to good old H he'll make room for her in his life once again :) I think old Horatio is returning small steps at a time, but he's returning!

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

I was thinking on why they'd have SM back in this episode. What I say is before I watch the vid on youtube, so I may change my mind later. I think they needed Y back for a couple of reasons, firstly, it's the season premiere, they know alot of people like H/Y, so they were hoping to up the viewership. Second, they need to explain how Kyle came about. This means H had to reveal it to someone. I can't see H explaining it to anyone else but Y. Which is good, it means he's comfortable with her, respects and trusts her to share this information with her.

I did blink when I saw the promo clips and Y in that gorgeous looking car and I wondered, how does she afford that?! But anyway this is Miami so I wouldn't bother.

I agree with Luce tptb will milk this for as long as they can. I don't think they're getting H/Y together yet. At most we'll have her for a couple of episodes, just to boost ratings and remind us that she's still H's love interest. This season IMO will be about H and Kyle. Where Y fits into that is anybody's guess. And Ray Jr? I hope they don't forget about him. I hope that like Tati said, after H is more settled with Kyle, he'll get back on track with Y. As to how long that's gonna take... I just hope we don't have to wait till season 10!

More after I've seen the clips on Thurs.

I read that Y was jealous about Kyle's mother on the Miami forum. Any truth in that?

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

I don't think she was jealous. . .no more jealous than of the-one-we-do-not-name. She may wish it had been her, but I think she was sad for H. At first she seemed a little critical, I think because (before she heard his story) she wondered whether H had treated the woman carelessly.

As to why the GTB are having her back, I hope its not just as a concession to fans who like Sofia. You know, a few token appearances. If it were to boost ratings, why not have her there all the time?

I now have real connectivity! Yipee! *wipes brow with great relief* Now I can watch the vids and view the pics Pusher posted. And here's the chocolate cake I promised - just let me know what beverage you want to go with it!

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

^ Errrm, may I have some of that? :D

OMG! My internet crashed yesterday and was still down this morning! Crisis! Luckily it's back now, so that I can get my H/Y-fix thanks to my Pusher...

Pusher you rock my world, you know?! Thank you so much for the vid and the pics. They're brilliant. I especially love pic 24. With Y in that quite tight skirt, no wonder he's staring at her walking away. ;)

Re: Horatio/Yelina #8: Waiting A Lifetime For A Moment Like

^ I was hope that I rock ur socks

U all are welcome re the caps and vid. ;)

Humm... Why TGTB birng Yelina back ?! ... this is obviously... because they can! But when I see sensible reason for this then I won`t be so sceptical. Rio and this new premiere are a lot like kid picture - they have a lot pastels and want to use all colour at the same time. Quest after this what is the main point?!

BWT did I hear Season 10 ?! Well with a lot chocolate cake and cookie I think I can wait till then. ;)
