Harper's Island

Ok, just watched. And now yes I'll agree with BabaOReilly that maybe Abby is Wakefield's daughter. I can put together why he'd want to kill her Mom, if that's the case, but why all those other people? And my big question is why her Dad said "did you ever think maybe she deserved it? :wtf:
Well enough of 7 years ago.

Random thoughts -
Poor big dude (Im so good with names) got axed! I wasn't expecting that for some reason.
I really hope Madison wasn't killed there at the end -- I don't want to see that.
I liked the little talk between Abby & Trish (Tricia?), that was sweet.
I don't think JD is the killer, he'd be too obvious.
Jimmie & Abby - I think I really like them now. :p
I'm wondering if the killer wants to kill Abby, or protect her. :shifty:

Does anyone have any theories on motives here?!! Color me lost & confuzzled!!

I too wonder if Abby's mom came to the island already pregnant and married Charlie, but I can't see why Charlie would kill all those people and his wife. By the time she was killed wasn't Charlie at the explosion on the marina? My thought was he knew he messed up in trying to kill Wakefield that's why he warned Abby to keep her mom inside and lock up the house. Now with that Abby caught a glimpse of the killer(from the waste down), presumably he guy he was killing was one of the guys who set up him to get blown up. I think she would have noticed it was her father, Charlie.

I'm just hoping the killer at the end makes sense and not some iniquitous extra say like the gardener. How many close ups of that were there?:wtf:

 I just got a flashback of Scooby-Doo. "It's.... somebody we don't know?" God, I know that was in an episode or movie or something... [/off-topic]

Are we sure that whoever did the original murders is the same person doing the current murders? Again, I need to catch up on the show, but from what I've seen the original murders were all pretty consistent. The new ones are very "let's see how many different ways we can kill people".

The original murders seven years earlier were done by Wakefield, whom the Sheriff shot and killed. So, the current murders are by someone else unless Wakefield is like Jason Voorhies or Michael Myers and just won't die. But if that's the case, then whose bones are in his grave?

But that's the thing, maybe Wakefield didn't do the murders all those years ago- they were just pinned on him? We obviously still need more background story, which I'm sure they'll be unravelling this week again.

Maybe like, 5 minutes before the show ends, I'll know who did it!

OK, things are cooking now. It's dark, it's raining and it's mayhem. I don't think that's spoiling anything...

Somebody watch this dang show on Saturday night and let me know what you think that ending was all about. Whoh.

Whoa what the hell was that?!?!?
I'm even more confused than before now. I had random thoughts about the killer in the beginning wondering if it was Madison & she's just a little freak, but then later with the book & JD saying it's all about Abby then showing Henry...I just don't know now!!

The only explanation I have for the ending is one of two things:
1) Henry accidently shot JD
2) Henry has blood on his hands for some other reason - maybe he found another dead person & was crying cause it was JD laying there.

I don't think he killed JD purposely though - I doubt we'll find out the killer until the very last episode.
Does anyone have any idea how many eps are left?

I think Henry might have found Malcolm's body and that's where the blood is from. Unless that was Malcolm's skull they found in the incinerator. But, who else haven't they found? Booth's body wouldn't still have wet blood I don't think. Wouldn't the dirt he was buried in soak up that blood? That one girl was burned up, so no blood there. Hasn't everyone else been found except for cousin Ben? He was killed several days earlier and also wouldn't be blood. Unless Henry went by the station and found the deputy and slipped in his blood.

First the deputy (whom I thought might be the killer just based on the unexpected aspect since he wasn't a main character), then Cole (whom as Charlie pointed out looked suspicious) and then JD. Who've we got left? Shane's been in jail up until now, so unless he has a partner, it can't be him.

Maybe its that guy the reporter was dating in the Harper's Globe vids.

As for how many eps are left, I've heard that it'll air till some time in July.

You forgot Richard. Henry found him (with Abby & whats-her-face) tied & stabbed to the tree, 'member?
There were a lot of people at the marina in that ending scene & Charlie (also bleeding) was in the truck, then Jimmie, Cal, Cloe, that one chick I don't know, the other dude with an attitude - wait is his name Cal?, & the black dude. I think I need to go to the CBS site & get these people's names :shifty:
Anyway, the blood could be from anyone.
Question: Was JD actually shot or stabbed? His wound looked open like he'd been practically gutted. 'Course a shotgun leaves a nice large hole as well - any ideas?

Edit: random thought. What about Henry's parents? It's a bit odd that he & JD have the backstory of dead parents (with no explanation as to how/why they died) - maybe there's some sort of connection there?

Richard had already been found earlier in the ep though, so I don't think it was his blood. The blonde guy with the attitude is named Sully. Cal is the English blonde guy. I just learned Sully's name last night. I still don't have a clue what the guy with the long hair's name is though.

I think they mentioned how the parents died, but I can't remember how it was. I do remember that it was when the boys were younger because Henry said that Uncle Marty became their guardian after their parents' deaths.

Oh ok. I get the two blonde guys confused. :alienblush:
I have to say also that Cloe really got on my last nerve in this epi. I thought the actress was really cute in her role in 'Alvin & The Chipmunks' but this role doesn't fit her well, imo. I was waiting for Trish to slap her next - I did like that part when she layed it on that Sully dude - that was pretty funny :p

I really liked Cal in this ep. The man is a true gentleman despite all his 'awkwardness' in wanting to stay and help find Madison. Having watching this ep three times to see if there are any clues, I don't know.. I still have a feeling this is a two man team doing all these killings and I think it's Jimmy and Shane. I don't know why. When JD said to Abby it's all about you, my first thought was Jimmy.

That murder book I think is going to be very interesting. That guy((whose name totally escapes me) got shot with the arrows(possible clue)) didn't say where it came from. I'm pretty sure he knew who had it before it came into his possession.

I hope Henry didn't accidently kill his brother. That would really suck for him.

If anyone has a Netflix account, you can watch the series for free from the beginning. MSN and Hulu might have it online also.

Surf the Channel has them all too. That site has EVERYTHING. It's crazy.

It definitely can't be the blood from the guy skewered to the tree- dead people don't bleed and that was fresh blood on Henry's hands. I have a feeling he found JD before Abby and was trying to save him and maybe he got up to find help but then all the shots started happening around him and he came back? Or at least that might be his story... muahahahahahahahaha!

OK, clearly I have no idea.

Crap! I forgot to watch the show cause I was watching Last Chance Harvey. I hope the show taped. Have to go see. Will be back later with any thoughts on ep. :)

Now things are really getting interesting!!
I guess I'll put it in spoiler code til ya'll get a chance to see it.

Charlie's the killer!? Ok, I did suspect him at one time but how on earth would he have killed JD when he was actually in the truck bleeding from his leg wound; & how would he have shot that burned guy when he was in the cabin?! :wtf: Yep, I don't get it.

Is anyone else thinking that it's possible that Abby is NOT Wakefield's daughter?! I know we said this a while back, & tonight they found the journal with him saying that Sarah had his child - but it almost makes me think now that she really isn't - maybe she has a twin or a sibling?
I felt really sorry for her when Sully & Shane were being jerks to her, but I wanted to hug Henry & Jimmie for sticking up for her - that was sweet. :adore:

Henry almost had me in tears with JD. :(
The tunnel crawling freaked me out - I'm terribly clostorphobic, so just watching them nearly gave me heart failure. Color me chicken s**t, but I would not have gone in that tiny little crawlspace just to find a woman they all knew would likely be dead!
How very convienant that Abby & Madison crawled out of the sewer just as Trish & Shae drove over them...& back at the Inn no-one questioned how Abby found her or how they met up with Trish & Shae?! :shifty:
Random thought that must be noted - Shane is a freaking buttwad!!
How cute is Cal though?! *dahling...hehee* :p
I can't remember the stepmom's name, but "ewwww". Not so sure she really would have bled that much considering the points of those hedge clippers were barely stuck in her, but oh well, realism isn't really thier thing on this show... apparently.

All the same, they have me glued to the TV. ;)

Edit: Hurry up, GNRFan, I need you to help me figure this stuff out!

There's no way that Charlie is the killer. I think that whomever really took Madison told her to say that to Abby to further torture her and Charlie. I don't think Abby is Wakefield's kid. At least I hope not cause that's way too predictable. I think that the one that was really his kid was put up for adoption by Sarah. I think that he (gotta be a he) found out about his real father and found out that he was dead and who killed him and thus went after people to get back at Charlie. Then he told Maddy to say that to Abby so that she would think Charlie did it. But, there is no possible way he could have done it. Maybe Charlie has an evil identical twin who just escaped from a mental institution (after being there for many many years) and went to the island just as this wedding was approaching and somehow decided to start killing people.

I think JD only said "it's all about you Abby" because he read those notes and thought that Abby is Wakefield's daughter. Which leads me to believe that she's really not.

So Beth and Katherine are both dead now.

I got a little suspicous of the hotel owner lady when Maddy was found. Just the way she reacted to her in that scene like she was surprised that she was found. I think she may be in cahoots with whomever the killer is. But I really really don't think it's Charlie. It's just not plausible. He was in the cabin when Cole was killed, he was in the truck injured when JD was killed. And if he were the killer, he'd have absolutely no reason to go to Cole's alone to get info.

Also, this show is supposed to last until sometime in July and there's no way they'd reveal the real killer this soon.

I agree that Shane's a butthead. I was actually hoping he'd get killed.

Oh and about next week's preview: I hope Jimmy jumped into the water before that boat exploded. Don't want him getting killed. He's actually the hottest one on the cast.

Cal is adorable. But what is up with his gf? Wanting to have sex when Abby's dad is hurt. Yeesh. And also, the person who grabbed Abby in the crawl space had on completely different looking pants from what Charlie was wearing.
