I have been reading this for about 5 months now and finally worked up the nerve to post something.
I have been a GSR fan for as long as the show has been going on. I always watch to see if they will have a moment together. Whether he says something cute or just looks at her in a certain way I feel like screaming!!!
The "No Dear" comment was priceless. And she had her head reasting on his arm... I loved it. I taped it and keep watching it. And I keep watching it on grissomsararomance.com. I can't get enough!
okey something is wrong. i'm editing my post like the 4th time. i'm sure 1CSIMfan will ban me so i will be unable to express my love for billy and gsr which will result in my suicide. but i have to say this. NOW.
hehe...nope, I won't ban you for editing your post 4 times. You can edit it 100 times if you want.
Also, I know you guys do great but I wanna remind everyone once you guys start talking about next week's episode to make sure to use the spoiler box or leave spoiler space for those who don't like to be spoiled. Also, make sure you don't give anything away in the title of the spoilers either.
Indeed, welcome Ashes86. You seem excited. That's good.
So, I picked the third one. Mainly because the episode was rather boring to me. The scene between Grissom and Sara was the only one I'd rewatch... and did, because I missed him saying "dear." After the shock of that wore off, the episode still remained mediocre.
OMG the dear scene i was so giddy i was just like OMG OMG OMG i chose the first 1 because IT WAS HUGE i mean its grissom we're talking bout not nick not warrick but GRISSOM!!!!!!!!!!
i watxhed that scene like 100 times before my dad told me to get off the computer
I also wanted to know what was going on with the "It beloned to my mother" comment. I want Sara to be able to meet his mother. I know a lot of people think that she died or something but I hope that is not true.
For me the answer to the post is definatly # 1 It shows that he is comfortable around her enough to call her a personal name... "Dear". I can't wait to see who figures it out first. I hope it is someone that will want to keep it a secret. The less people that know the better. That should keep the GSR going strong. More people will want to watch to see more interaction or the big thing... THE KISS?!?! Hopefully they will....
okay, i went for the first option, ofcourse.. my pc was crashing when i wanted to watch it again, hate that thing..! TS , let me tell you something off topic: i want cats too! but well, my mom doesn't allows me to have one, she says that it's too much work for me to care for a cat, since i'm at high school.. but well, when i'm eighteen, moving out, i'll buy a cat, mark my words!
okay, now on topic again: when they were so close to eachother in the dear scene, i was like: okay, perfect timing, this is gonna be THE kiss.. but well, i got dissapointed again, maybe i'm just asking too much of these directors, i mean, one thing at a time, the 'dear' was great already, but i like to see a kiss too, don't we all..
a happy welcome to all the newbies around here, enjoy yourselfs, i'm sure that once you posted here, you'll get addicted to gsr, that happened to me too..
as for turtle, welcome back, we incredibly missed you here!
okay, i bought the Sims 2, and i'm planning to make my own characters, ofcourse called gris and sara, and let them have a marriage, a baby and a biiig house... why doesn't that happens in real... *sigh*
monday i have to go to school again, i hate it! what i wanted to do all year was science, science, science.. but well, high school isn't only science, and that's a pity for me..
i hope that in the next episode, Burn Out, there will be a kiss... *crosses fingers for about the thousand time now*
That could have been part of the original GD script and Sarah Goldfinger never cut it. It could have directly related to the (hot) GSR sex (mmmm) they were initially going to incorporate into the ep.
Again, this is just a 'could', and we're possibly (closer to probably) reading too much into this. But I wouldn't strike it out completely (not saying you are, but still). Nothing on TV (or in a film) happens/is shown by accident.
I hated the 'baby' line so much. It was so friggin' awkward and I think Sara only said it to see how Hank would react. I was embarassed for her. My face turned red.
I still cringe every time I watch that scene. Not because it's Sara showing affection to someone other than Grissom, just because it's so awkward and, ugh. Plus, Hank is a skank.
BIIIIIIG BIG Welcome to Ashes86.
Hope you enjoy your comfortable stay on our ship. We've an open bar, a pool on deck, and a wonderful restaurant below. Your hostesses include (but are not limited to) Alyssa (aka AL) and me (theatresporter/TS/theatre/sporter/Thespo, with special guest star Tom Selleck [aka THE TOM] who you will learn to love, as we all do). Both sit-down and stand up comedy is provided by Ziggy, poll-dancing classes come on an almost OCD basis with Sarah, and for the Grissom-afflicted we have tri-weekly WPHS meetings led by Adzix. The in-house philosophy teacher is Miss Dee, and she provides us with in-depth essays each week. And we mustn't forget our cabin boy, Reeble (for Reeble, is in fact, a boys' name) who's in charge of the ship's manifest (what's the status of that tenant list anyway, Reebs?). Recently back on board is the lovely Turtlebaby - and there are a few of us on vacation at the moment, including Grissly and Fogs. Our whole crew is more than willing to assist you whenever you need.
That goes for any other lurking newb who feels like climbing aboard and posting anytime soon, either
Alrighty, for the poll I voted for the second option. I liked the 'dear', but I wasn't squeeing to the heavens about it. It was nice and comfortable and I'm content. The season is rockin' every which way from Sunday - cases, GSR'n'all.
TS , let me tell you something off topic: i want cats too! but well, my mom doesn't allows me to have one, she says that it's too much work for me to care for a cat, since i'm at high school.. but well, when i'm eighteen, moving out, i'll buy a cat, mark my words!
That's great, gf! Cats are excellent. I have a cat myself, and she is awesome. Plus, she is black and was born on halloween, so that makes her even better. Ziggy's icon still makes me giddy with the cuteness of it, I must admit. Hee. One thing about your posts, though, gf - try not to use so many emoticons. All those smilies make things a liiiittle crazy. Hehe.
Sarah, re: your point on Grissom and Sara not hiding their relationship, just not feeling it necessary to announce it to the world - do you think that might be one reason why...
They cut the whole 'Archie tries to set Sara up on a date' thing, as well as Warrick's line to Grissom about him being a bachelor (and women being a hassle, where he was meant to be all 'Sara's not a hassle' [in his thought pattern/expression anyway])
?? Maybe they're purposely trying to make sure Grissom and Sara aren't, in fact, actively hiding it. Comes back to the "Don't ask, don't tell" line from Double Cross. So they're not really lying or sneaking around, they're just keeping their business their business. So when it does come out, they can't be shot down for having spun a web of lies throughout the entire lab/police force.
Speaking of the police force - as a bit of a side note, who else would kinda like it if Sara and Sofia became friends? Now TPTB have stopped with the love triangle and having them at each other's throats, I think it would be kinda nice. I can imagine Brass, Sofia, Grissom and Sara all going out to dinner together or something. Not that I'm a Brass/Sofia shipper or anything [though they were adorably BFF with their "(S)he's a cop!" pointing-at-each-other line in Fannysmackin' last week] but it would be a nice little gang I think.
I agree, TS - with the exception of the "Does Ecklie Know?" scene, and let's face it - even if they weren't actively hiding it, they probably still wouldn't want Ecklie to know - it just seems as if they're two private people in a relationship.
If they were playing this for laughs, or making it seem as though it *had* to be "top secret", I think that we would see more "Sara and Grissom flirt until someone comes into a room, then they separate" or something.
Like when Brass comes in during Toe Tags, their conversation is already over anyway.
But right now, it sort of just seems like Sara's having fun ribbing Grissom for all the things that kept them apart before. I mean, he did always spout these long explanations, Sara would get this little smile or be impressed, and now she just kind of calls him on it, "Are you trying to impress me?"
Which, for my money, was more fun scene-wise than the dear. Conceptually, the dear rocked. Huge step in their relationship and really lets us know where they stand. But just for pure interactions, I liked the shrub commentary.
ETA
I guess I could see Sara and Sofia becoming friends, but as I said at YTDAW, I see it less as hair-braiding and more as gun-cleaning activities.
Kay so, my poll choice was "He called her dear - at work - this is huge. It was a great scene, a great ep, but most importantly, it's nice to see how solid they are together." I think it's pretty much self-explanitory. It was great, I loved the scene. Sorry my post couldn't be longer, but I really gotta pee and then go get ready for my soccer game. This soccer game I will win for you guys, my lovely GSR buddies. <33
I agree that the scene was great, Jordan. And maybe because I didn't see it in the context of the whole episode, rather like Sara chiding him for trying to impress her (I gave my mom the WTF? look when she talked about it), I just didn't know that it was *that* huge a revelation.
If anything, it was the lack of drama that made it what it was. Like Ziggy said, it could've easily come off as Sara being insecure or them not knowing each other that well.
But it didn't.
So I picked option 2 - now that we have GSR, it's nice to see that CSI is back on track with its writing.
Another thing I missed was Catherine lighting a candle for Sam.
i agree, i loved that he called her dear, that was way cute, but i also really loved the 'are you trying to impress me?' scene, cause i love when their flirty and cute, thats why i love, the tie me up scene, and the Unfriendly Skies 'cite youre source' ep scene and all those flirty scenes, but i love the nesting dolls, IE, snakes kind of scenes just as much.
anyways as for the hank 'baby' scene, i too was VERY shocked when i first saw that, but her reaction was SO damn cute, i burst out laughing, but i didnt feel embarassed watching it, but i did feel kinda awkward for her, it did feel forced, but thats probably cause i didnt expect it. but considering hanks reaction-she probably didnt call him that a lot, and they wernt very secure in their relationship. also noticed warrick hardly responded at all in that scene. but yeah, there was huge tension when she said that, the dear scene this week, was just so natural, and he said it automatically, before he'd given thought to what was coming out his mouth, so id take a guess, hes pretty comfortable with her and in the relationship, and that by saras, she is too. cause even after he called her dear, signalling it wasnt something she'd said, she was still worried she'd offended him, but shes comfortable enough to ask him face to face if she has and why, same with if he was trying to impress her, stuff you wouldnt say unless you were dating someone 'are you trying to impress me''have i offended you'.....shes very open and interested in him and what hes feeling, etc. it was so cute. i loooooooooooove when saras flirty with him.
Agreed. I think the baby was unconscious from Sara, but it didn't strike me as being authentic. Like it was something she was "training" herself to do.
Also, who likes that it's been Grissom to do all of the couple-y things so far? Yes, Sara mentioned their first meeting, but even before that scene, he was checking her out. But bringing her lunch, calling her a pet name at work...
I don't know. I had hoped that between the two, he would be the one to do it, because of how long Sara had to be obvious about it, but it's still nice to see.
And agreed again, SGF - it felt more like, after he said the dear, that she was just curious. That it was something she'd wondered about for a while - because he obviously doesn't pray or go to church anymore - but finally had an opportunity to ask when she remembered it.
