Re: Grissom&Sara #23 - Hot, Butt-Kicking, Chainsaw Wielding
You know what I realized? That although we've known all along that Sara has had feelings for Grissom, Grissom was the only one to ever verbalize that he "loved" or "could love" her - both in Butterflied and Way to Go. So, ironically, we've always questioned Grissom's commitment, but to an outside eye, given all that is said on flat paper, it would probably be Sara who'd look more flat in her admiration.
very true. that's why i can fully see grissom saying "i love you" to her. despite his shell, he is a romantic, (duuh, he reads poetry after all, lol) and he implied that he loves her at least once onscreen. i'm almost certain that he already told her directly that he loves her, and she told him back.
the thing is that we never see Grissom in a romantic situation, that's why it's so hard for us to imagine him exchanging iloveyou's with a girlfriend. it's hard to imagine but i believe it is very in-character.
i can see now, why sara didn't like anybody else that much as him. the most important factor - Grissom is very different than the family she had. the only close people to her were violent, unethical, loud, and emotional. Grissom is a complete opposite, and she is able to feel secure with him. he won't hurt her, scream, cheat on her or do something stupid. and he's gonna love her.
ETA:
oh and about Sara never telling him he is handsome. well, guys can drop "since i met you" lines, but girls don't have to, nuh uh. it's just that a guy can tell you you're pretty every 5 mins, but you won't tell him he is handsome if you're not in a established relationship. well, yeah you can but... uhh .. i hope you're getting what i mean in here. it all depends on a guy, and grissom is one of those who doesn't need to be reassured about his looks everyday. i think the pure fact she liked him all this time speaks for itself.
and yeah, grey hair is there too.
