Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

See, what I was implying was sending the pictures into Ecklie as a warning. Threatening to release them to the general public, which would compromise the lab, and compromise any cases that both Grissom and Sara worked on together... Remember back in "The Accused is Entitled?" Sara's testimony was thrown out, in part because of her STROKING GRISSOM'S CHEEK. Yes, it involved Hank as well, but, the defense was able to twist the relationship in their own way.

Therefore, if Sara and Grissom's relationship were exposed, the lab might lose a few cases due to defenses manipulating the jury by implicated Sara may have been doing things, maybe even tampering with evidence, to please Grissom. Now, the defense attorneys may not succeed in winning their cases, but just having that type of information out in the media, having the lab constantly questioned looks back for the lab... hence why Ecklie would be pissed. :)

Yeah, I've thought this out way too much...

Ooh, nice, evil work, theatresporter! Then we can sell them on ebay and buy CSI and make them snog lots and lots and lots!! YAY!

Release pictures of two workmates innocently hanging out? They could be on the job in the pics for all anyone knows. That's why I'm saying they would have to be somewhat explicit pictures for them to have any weight or pose any kind of real threat. And also - to me, neither Sara nor Grissom seems like the PDA type of person.

But I agree with you if they DID get those incriminating photos and they got out, they could be bad for the lab. It seems a little soapy to me, but ah, we'll see.

Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

TS: I meant explicit photos. LOL. Sorry, I guess I wasn't clarifying well. And I doubt they'd go that way with the show, it's just me trying to figure out ideas of how it might happen. I mean, chances are most of the options we're all discussing and thinking about are going through the heads of the writers as well (plus some others, I'm sure).

Personally, I'm a fan of the super-goofy, everyone finds out methods. I'd absolutely adore for everyone to go out to breakfast one day, to a new place (because, unlike Greg, everyone else wants to try somewhere new) and they bump into Gris and Sara out to eat, and it's super goofy, and super silly, and super funny! I just doubt they'd go that route because this is such a "Big" thing on this show, to have two main characters in a confirmed romantic entanglement... So, I'm figuring they'll go for drama, but goofy would satisfy me!

I am looking forward to this season because I can't wait to see how the ships works out with us being "in the know." Last season, a bunch of us were speculating, people were wondering, and in wake of the original "Gum Drops" spoilers, we were all jumping around debating whether that intended encounter was the first for our beloved duo, or one of many encounters as part of a full-blown relationship. Now, we have confirmation, and each little moment won't be another bone thrown our way, another hint for us to decipher, because we're going to be in the know. We'll know that all those little comments hold significance, because, unlike the other CSIs, we know what's really going on.

And I'm curious how this dynamic is going to work in the context of the show as a whole. Sometimes, having the audience on the same page is a lot of fun, but the last time I had a lot of fun with a "secret" relationship on television, it was Monica and Chandler, and CSI is a bit too much of a drama to have that much fun, and it's also not as relationship-centric...

I'm looking forward to the new season, but I can't wait to see how everyone is reacting a few episodes in, whether or not we're enjoying the "us knowing, CSIs not" game as much as we are right now. :)

Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

Of course I want the relationship to be subtle, but I do hope that they will actually make out at some point, and I really think they will. I got the feeling that TPTB is ready for something huge like that and likes to take that risk. But it shouldn't happen every episode!

WELCOME TO THE U.S. Adzix what city are you in- if you want to tell us- and what subjects will you be studying? have fun and meet new people- go P-A-R-T-Y ;) and you still have time for polls- amazing ;) this week, NO nothing about CSI nor GSR in the TV Guide. thanks for the warm welcome des :D i'm a sophomore but i changed majors and now i'm a business major. the name of the city won't tell you ANYTHING, lol, so i'll just say i'm in Louisiana :D

as for my poll, i voted no. 5 and 6. we've seen eyesex already so it's very possible to happen again. and flirting - they flirt all the time, so i don't see why they should stop now.

i don't think they'd go all the way at work though, so no make out session, no other kisses, no talking about what grissom would prefer to eat for dinner, and NO "i love you" - "i love you back" kinda talk. nah uh.

i don't see the blackmail thing going either. it would make too much trouble to handle for the writers. just imagine - ALL those gazillion cases they worked together would be in question. besides, people would get bored by a story like this. people want science not "the romance has been revealed and now they're screwed" storylines. but i know we're only speculating, so i'd say it would make a good fanfic if written in a good way :)

Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

I picked all of the flirty/eyesexy ones. Only because I think that stealing a look or a word here and there with less-than-innocent intentions would be something I can see them doing, rather than, you know... making babies in the supply closet.

The most I could see as an intimate moment would probably be another WTG scenario, because they used to do more "after the case" follow-up with the crew anyway, and in that sense, I could see a scene like, Sara or Grissom is working hard on a case, you see the other calling them, and then just sort of walking up, shutting the file and kissing them or taking their hand.

Sort of like "the job is no longer the most important thing"

Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

i said innocent flirting and eyesex. they've had that before they were an official couple, so i don't see why it wouldn't continue. maybe a bit more eyesex, because they just can't keep their eyes off eachother can they? and i agree with you sarah about another "wtg" type scenrio. i can't really see a kiss, personally. it might get too-too for some viewers who arn't shippers of any ship, like taking away from the show. but maybe, them leaving together? i like that... maybe getting into the same car? suggestive, no?

Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

As much as I agree that a kiss would be OTT for those who don't want it, I think it would be more "WTF" to have them as the first canonized lead character relationship and not have a kiss at least once.

And Jorja has been making winking comments towards more "fun" scenes, and of course there was Billy's little thing of "I'd like to kiss her before the show ends".

So... will they suddenly be making out? No. But I do think one, good, solid kiss is in order.

Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

I said cheek peck, perhaps innocent flirting or 'ship talk at work. I also don't think they'd go very far; they'd want to stay professional.

Ooh I hope we do get more of those "fun scenes" hehe.

Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

Little opinion poll that may feel like it has a negative edge, but I do know it's kind of a worrysome non-question that I've been asking myself.

Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

Okay, noting this is what I'm willing to accept, not, what I want, I picked option #3 (although the wording of it confused me a bit, so I had to read it a few times to get the hang of what it was saying).

I don't think there needs to have been some great CSI!Drama/Crisis or whatever to have forced them together. Not that forced is probably the best word, but you know what I mean. I think the whole thing has just been a long, long time coming, and they've both gone through a lot of change and growth in the last decade (for argument's sake) that they've known each other - eventually it just came to when the time was right, and they were both in 'the right place' or whatever, I suppose. And as far as the "can't do it" thing - no, he probably didn't feel he could then. He can and did now, though.

Sort of like filling a glass of water. If you leave the tap running long enough, eventually it's gonna spill over.

Oh, and if you're wondering, what I want is of course the last option - that it'll stick to how I've reasoned it all out. Then again, isn't that what we all individually want?

Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

In the poll I went with 'peck on the sheet' (only an EXTREMELY discreet one with absolutely nobody watching), 'flirting', and 'eyesex'. Cause we already have flirting and eyesex as it is, so I really doubt that will end all of a sudden.

In Sarah's poll, I went with the 'I'll take what I can get' option. Cause I'm so damn used to getting NOTHING that I'm happy just to know that there's something there. I'll be able to live off of the filthy scraps of fat that tptb toss me from their dinner table rich with tortured baby cow and chicken primavera.

OH!OH! Quick OT note.. today I was watching some really horrible show with JAMES CAAN, just because I really love JAMES CAAN.. and who was on this awful show but DEAN CAIN. He played a rich casino owner. Happily, he is still teh sex.

ETA So who noticed my TOTAL FREUDIAN SLIP up there with the 'peck on the sheet'? mwaha. I'm so leaving it.

Re: Grissom&Sara#21 - Cuz Dating Secretly is SO Much Coo

Mmkay, so I'm back. I've been busy with school and two soccer teams lately, and my keyboard is messed up so that's even worse. The enter key sticks but I'll deal with it, just so's I can talk to my lovely GSR-shipping friends. <33

Eh-neh-weh, I picked "I'll take what they give me - canon is good" for the poll. I've got my theories and I stand by them 100%, but if the show says differently I'll deal with it.

Also, I thought I should share a few little thingys from 'Cold Burn' [member m book???] that are GSR-ish. The last one cracked me up, I'm not gunna lie.

-"Grissom and Sara, both in black, shared a sofa facing the fireplace" Omg, can you picture them all curled up in blankets sitting next to each other on the couch drinking hot chocolate and coffee?? Cuh-ute

-"Then, turning to Sara, Grissom said, 'Let's go up to my room.'
She just looked at him.
He continued: 'Or don't you want to solve this murder?'" This one is self-explanitory.

-"Sara paused at the door. "Last day--Sunday? That was nice and cosy, though. We spent the day reading by the fire."
She slipped out, leaving behind two co-workers who were looking at each other with wide eyes and open mouths.
'No,' Catherine said.
'No way,' Nick said.
In the hallway, Sara was smiling to herself. Nick and Cath didn't know that she and Grissom had seperate fireplaces in their seperate rooms.
And they didn't need to know.
Let them wonder."
I'm not gunna lie, I cracked up at that one. It was hilariously funny to me. Anyways, I'd better stop typing now. The enter key is going crazy. I'll try to get on later after my soccer game, before I go to my brother's football game. Much love to y'all<33
