I believe the Friends thought behind it comes from the part where Rachel explains to Phoebe that Chandler and Monica have been going out for a long time.
Phoebe: You mean whenever Monica and Chandler where like y'know doing laundry or going grocery shopping or—Oh! All that time Monica spent on the phone with sad Linda from camp!
Rachel: Uh-huh, doing it. Doing it. Phone doing it.
I never really shipped Monica/Chandler, but I liked them together. I only shipped Rachel/Joey. But this is kind of off-topic.

OMG, Forensicsgirl, *THUD* I so love Santa_Gris. Wish he was at my nearest department store. Sara is way to cute in her Santa hat holding the mistletoe. Sweet. I am really in the GSR Christmas mood now. Working diligently on my Christmas tree. Hope to have it done tomorrow.

I don't have Photoshop or anything to do photo manips but maybe if I find time later in December I could try a Christmas GSR music video or something...
Sarahvma, I love David Rambo's hints too. That "girl at the office" scene was great. And writers like him like throwing in things that are meaningful for them, but are completely subtle for the casual viewers, and sometimes even for the shippers. I remember in his interview at YTDAW he said that the fact that Grissom brings her tea in Swap Meet (that he knows she drinks tea) means something. Things like that make me believe we are definitely not reading too much into scenes.

True. I mean, with all of the planning and carefully constructed scenes (and tiny Billy add-ins) it can't simply be for nothing. I imagine they've had a general plan of what to do with "this" for a while.
EDIT: While it may not be new to you, I read what is possibly one of my all-time favorite GSR fics yesterday - The Passing of the Seasons. It's short, but it's really good.

Ok, I should be writing papers... but I came up with a little scenario last week, and keep forgetting to post it.

The only spoilage really is that we may have a Lady Heather ep this season... the rest is MY DREAM.
In the event of a Lady Heather ep, I had a few ideas about it... set it up in my mind... and have a way to keep me happy.
We're not at Lady Heather's. She is the witness who stumbled upon the dead body of a friend of hers who is in a similar business. Sara and Cath are first on the scene, and Cath, naturally, wants to know more about what Lady Heather does, and what this dead friend did... turns out it has to do with masochistic practices, especially hitting and stuff... Sara gets umcomfortable and excuses herself to go outside.
Sara perches on the edge of the open trunk of the car like she did in ABRTI2. She stares at the ground, trying to collect herself. Grissom pulls up, hops out of his car, kit in hand, and is about to walk up to the house when he spots Sara. He can tell something is wrong.
Grissom: Honey, are you ok?
Sara gives him a weak smile.
Sara: Yeah, I just needed a break.
Grissom looks at her questioningly.. she can tell that's not enough to tell him. She sighs.
Sara: Cath was talking with Lady Heather, and it - I just needed to collect my thoughts.
Grissom nods, finally understanding. He opens his mouth, and she can tell he's about to offer to take her off the case.
Sara: I'll be fine. I just need a minute.
He nods, and leaves her to collect herself. He goes into the house where Catherine is processing. Lady Heather is out of sight in another room, talking with Brass.
Cath and Grissom talk briefly about what happened, what they've discovered so far, and all that jazz. Brass finishes with Lady Heather in the other room, so she pokes her head around the corner, seeing Grissom for the first time. She notes the beard.
Sara walks in.
Cath: There you are. You didn't have to walk off like that.
Grissom: (warning tone) Cath. Don't.
Catherine looks at him, mildly confused. Lady Heather notes the exchange, looking from Grissom to Sara.
And that leads up to my imaginary end where Lady Heather notes the changes in him:
Lady Heather: You've changed. And it's not just the beard, or your hearing. It's the way you talk, the way you hold yourself, the way you look at the world. *pause* The way you look at me. But then I see the way you look at her, and I understand.
She smiles at Grissom, who looks surprised, but then smiles back.
Lady Heather: Goodbye Mr. Grissom.
She walks out

Alyssa, Bravo! I would love to see that episode play out that way. Lady Heather is intuitive enough I think to read that Grissom has feelings for Sara.
I can't seem to get my mind out of the GSR gutter right now. I have been reading fanfics and I just finished Saturday by Spoonfuls by Cincoflex. I somehow can't get Grissom's office out of my mind right now. I love reading GSR fics. *walks away grinning ear to ear*

Sarahvma, that's one of my favorite fics too. I think I even mentioned it here before, regarding the Grissom vs. Gil issue. I love this part:

"And Grissom," she agreed. "But you can call him daddy. Only mommy calls him Grissom."
He smiled faintly, crawling in behind her, taking a few strands of hair in between his finger, mirroring the child. "Only mommy can make the name sound beautiful."
LadySara, I'll try to read that story by Cincoflex when I have a little bit more time...Haven't been reading much fanfic lately because I've been busy...Completely off-topic personal note to LadySara: Reading yours is definitely on my priority list too (for those who don't know, that one is about a slash pairing).
