Grissom/Greg--Someone Who Doesn't Judge Me

Re: Grissom/Greg

Yes, I have noticed that about Grissom...althought I think Greg was ready to bail when Grissom was talking about the history of hot dogs. He was just like not again. But its sweet he sat right there and let Grissom babble on like he does at times.

Greg: *Thinkin to himself* I just wanted reimbursement for the hot dogs.

Re: Grissom/Greg

I've always loved the scenes with Grissom and Greg together, they have such fun chemistry. I haven't really thought much of them as a couple until very recently though, it would be really cute. But then I'd love Greg with pretty much anyone. But yeah, I really love the conversations they have sometimes. Especially the scenes in Swap Meet when Greg gets all giggly and can't keep serious... Grissom's look is priceless.

Any ideas for songs btw? I've been thinking of making a video with Greg and Grissom, it was supposed to be a mentor/student kind of video, but I'm not so sure anymore... ;) I've been thinking of Lifehouse-Simon , but only parts of the song fits...

Maybe Grissom's planning on paying Greg back 'in kind' ;)

*splash* there i go, back into the gutter once more

But the gutter is such a fun place to be! ;)
I might have some icons soon... I've been working for days on icons from Who Shot Sherlock, and I love the scene at the end where Greg runs over to celebrate with the others, and Grissom stands behind smiling... he was so proud! I'm sure he was thinking of hos own ways to congratulate Greg later. ;)b

Re: Grissom/Greg

JustAnnie, that would be awesome if you would make a video for Grissom and Greg. I am sure they might be out there but I have never seen one.

I loved that scene in Swap Meet as well. Greg was so shocked I think that Grissom held up the purple toy and said "cleanliness is nest to Godliness. I bet Greg had all kinds of thoughts roaming his mind as to what Grissom could do with that item. I think Grissom is really protective of Greg though and wants him to be a great CSI.

I think I'll have to. :D I found some earlier, here!
I think I might use Phil Collins- You'll be in my heart, but it might be too cheesy... oh well, I can try that first, and then find something more angsty.

I loved that line! Yeah... Greg has a dirty mind.
I agree that Grissom is protective over Greg, I love that. It's really sweet.

Re: Grissom/Greg

Forensicsgirl that was an interesting article. I do agree though with the fact that Grissom is I think making Greg earn his place in the team. I mean he is green and I think he is treating him like he should. He wants Greg to learn from the ground up. He wants him to experience everything that a CSI can learn. So I think he is doing him a favor by making him do the picky work. Plus I just think he loves aggrivating him. I loved the scene in ABRTI2 when Greg asks Grissom if Hodges bothers him and Grissom replies "no more than anyone else in this lab." I love the look Greg gave him over that remark.

Re: Grissom/Greg

I wonder why Grissom seems so cold toward Greg this season. Doing the picky work is one thing, but it really doesn't really help a new person to better learn the job when there's no direction, instruction, or interaction. I feel like Greg's being alienated from the team this season since most of his work these past few episodes have had him working alone for the most part.

I always loved Grissom and Greg together when I first started watching this show (in S5) but when I went back to the early eps, it seemed Grissom really didn't like Greg, given some of his comments ("Are we paying you by the word?" really bothered me, and I recall Greg immediately shut up, as if Grissom had hurt his feelings).

I hope things change and we get some good Grissom/Greg interaction.

Re: Grissom/Greg

I really don't think Grissom's being cold with Greg. There seems to be a teasing banter going on with him - he's giving Greg all the grunt work for sure, but he needs to - how else will Greg get the experience he needs to be a good CSI? The people on the lowest rung of the ladder always get the worst jobs, but that's how they earn their stripes.

I think there have been some lovely moments between Grissom and Greg so far this season - the hot dogs scene was adorable, the skid marks scene too. Like I said earlier, Grissom seems to be in great form when he's around Greg, and while Greg feels a little put upon, he's taking it in good spirit too.

Besides, if Greg really felt that Grissom was being mean and unfair towards him, he'd speak up. We've come a long way (baby) since the days when Grissom made Greg nervous - this is now the guy who, in season 4, demanded that Grissom stop yo-yo-ing him between the field and the lab.

Anyway, just because...

Could be...Greg certainly stood up to Grissom on behalf of Mia when she first started. I wonder if TPTB are leading up to something this season...like maybe Greg leaving the field? Or transferring to day shift? With his qualifications and experience as a DNA tech, he could transfer to any crime scene lab; however, since a lot of the other labs' CSIs are cops, I don't think he'd be able to remain a CSI outside of Las Vegas.

Re: Grissom/Greg

 Why are you so intent on Greg leaving??? He's not going anywhere. He's graduated from Sara's tutalage and is now under the master himself (oh er, I didn't mean that to be gutter-worthy, but managed it anyhow) and the master is riding him hard (professionally speaking, guys, sheesh  :p ) and when this year's over, Greg's going to be one kick-ass CSI. I feel it in my however many bones I have. And Grissom is going to be so very proud of his newest padawan :D

Another very cute moment between them - when Grissom tells Greg why he's passed his proficency...

I love that scene... First time I saw it I really wanted to just hug them both. Especially Greg, but I always want to hug him...

It's not that I think Greg's leaving so much as I think he's become the most expendable. He's become a redundant character (there are already 5 CSIs--is another really needed? And now that Hodges has replaced Greg as the head lab tech/friend to CSIs), I feel the writers aren't going to promote Greg because they don't know what to do with now. All he gest now is the grunt work in the background--ALONE--instead of being an integral team player. Even in "Gum Drops" he worked mostly alone, although there were some nice team moments (unfortunately no Grissom/Greg, though; however, had Grissom been in the ep, I doubt Greg would have had as large a role).

I don't WANT Greg to leave, but there doesn't seem to be a need or purpose for him. There are 5 CSIs to cover the cases and since Greg is no longer learning the job, there's not much else he can bring that's new or different--that hasn't already been done, or can be done, with at least one of the other CSIs. If the writers turn this around and make Greg a more important, integral member of the team (instead of just the flunkie and go-fer) maybe the role will be salvaged. But right now, at this point in the season, I don't think Greg's needed--the team managed just fine without a sixth CSI before, so why would they need him now?

I'm also still trying to figure out why Grissom doesn't seem to like Greg, either. He was nicer last season. Does it mean something, or is it just a red herring/loose end, never to be dealt with?

Re: Grissom/Greg

Kimaken, not to be rude, but bemoaning Greg's lack of development/screen-time or whatever is more of a general Vegas thread discussion, rather that a shipper discussion. This thread is to talk about a possible ship between Grissom & Greg - not to speculate on whether or not Greg's going to leave the show (which I am pretty certain will not happen in the forseable future)

Now, on the subject of Grissom & Greg, gotta love that subtle innunedo - first we had Grissom saying "skid marks" and Greg giggling about it in ABRTI2, then we had Greg talking about hoping to find a weener in DED - slash fans all over the world squeeed at that line   Anyone else noticed any more innuendo between the Bugman and his Padawan?
