"Grave Danger" Discussion (Beware Spoilers)

Re: Post - "Grave Danger" Episode Discussion/Review ***Spoilers***

It was interesting watching the finale after reading all the spoilers etc. One spoiler said that Grissom and Greg bow out because they're overwhelmed with emotions and that the parents raise the money because Sam said No. Beep not right.
I loved that Catherine went to Sam. I loved that Nick kept his cool, figured out that the light was draining the fan and shot it out using the gum to protect his ears. Smart man my Nick. I loved the Grissom was reading his lips and responded, although we didn't hear what Nick said we assume he said "sorry if I disappointed you" and Grissoms reply,
You didn't. Grissom kept cool and calm but his emotions were very visible for those of us who know him.

I did have to yell at the TV when they were just watching the screen (GET TO WORK).

Poor Warrick when he thought for that moment that Nick shot himself.

Ecklie, Ecklie, you old softie.

Hodges, catches the boomer at the end. Saves the day and the CSI's!!!

Who'd have thought.

Tarantino, shmarantino he should keep his day job.

The black and white scene, while different was not necessary, the time would have been better spent with the CSI's.

Sad that there wasn't more with the parents.

Glad to see Nick at the end, with his handsome face but you could tell he was still very emotional. Wish they would have said how much time had passed when he went to visit the girl.

Is it September yet???

I knew a lot of people wouldn't like the hallucination autopsy scene, but I loved it...when else would David Berman and Robert David Hall get to do some out-there comedy like that? :D
Totally loved that part too - was probably my 2nd favourite part of the whole epi! And totally QT style in keeping with CSI humour as well.

Doc Al and David cackling in that scene...THAT was when I teared up...from laughing my head off...

I think the most useless scene in the show was the autopsy scene. I don't think it was really needed. I know thats what he was thinking, but was it needed? No.
I probably would've had a heart attack and died if it weren't for that bit of comic relief. Was it needed? HELL YES!

But you're entitled to your opinion ;)

Random question I had - if they weren't digging up Nick when they dug up the dog - then why was he hearing things that would suggest that they were digging him up at that time?

And what caused the box/"coffin" to all of a sudden shatter?
You know, I was wondering that. I thought that maybe the dog-box was somehow wired to the one Nick was in and that's why he could hear them, but they never really said that. It might just've been some random coincidence that he heard something ELSE (the ants?) at the same time that Warrick, et al. were digging. And I think the box shattered because of all of his screaming and kicking when he thought he heard them.

Re: Post - "Grave Danger" Episode Discussion/Review ***Spoilers***

So quick question what is going to happen to Sophia???? Isn't she prego in real life? How are they going to play that out?

Re: Post - "Grave Danger" Episode Discussion/Review ***Spoilers***

**SCRATCHING**

I hate ants..........

OK, geesh, you invite people over and they never go home.........LOL!

So, this episode was awesome!!! Don't quite know where to begin.

Blackjack , you win.........Ecklie kinda won me over tonight and I don't believe I am saying that.

George Eads was absolutely amazing............he can't sing worth a *BLEEP* but I was laughing hysterically at him having such a good time in the beginning. His raw emotion, his thinking (chewing gum in the ears was GROSS, but dang what a great idea!) everything was Emmy worthy!!!! I was absolutely impressed! At the end when he grabbed Grissom and then Warrick's hand and was crying.......I ALMOST lost it........OK, not almost........... :(

Warrick/Gary Dourdan - Oh dear Lord..........he was amazing!!!! He almost cried.........he came close enough to tears for me. The anger and frustration and guilt were all classic Warrick. ANd when he was not going to leave Nick.........GO WARRICK!!!! I was so proud of him! Yeah, he was an ass to Greg, but that was who he was taking it out on. He was supposed to be side by side with Nick and Greg wasn't Nick. Was it right? ........Of course not, but it was realistic.

Grissom - for him.......that was a helluva lot of emotion. His eyes told his story MANY times. When he thought to call him Pancho.......that was Dad/mentor and it was AWESOME.........I kept screaming, "Nicky take the gum out of your ears so you can hear him!!!!" His line at the end about wanting his team back.........HELL YEAH GRISSOM!!!! (Why was I not surprised that Ecklie didn't respond in the finale???)

Sara- superb job, good emotion, good "Sara" detachment.

Cath - great job.......pretty good emotion. Love the way she went to Daddy.

Greg - didn't get cut from the case.....YAY. Didn't get alot of time, but what he had was good.....significant time. His hair.........I'm just amused.

Hodges was funny as all get out when they were playing the board game! I so enjoy him!

The Tarantino moment in the morgue.........TYPICAL QT.......I was laughing my a$$ off. Sad thing to me is that the episode wouldn't have lost one thing without it......

I think the only thing I didn't like was the end. No parents, no hospital (at least they did the ambulance, YAY FOR PARAMEDICS! :D ), no interraction with the team, no injury report (Can't help it, I'm in the medical field.......) no closure to suit me.........

The visit with Kelly was OK.........too much left out in between.

Still give it an A+.

My biggest laugh though was Warrick's comment about standing there "naked as a porn star"........God that was funny! He can be "packin'" and go with me anytime..........

I actually really liked it. It's QT's wackiness at it's best. And I definitely needed a moment where I could giggle before going back to freaking out. I'm not sure if it was absolutely necessary, but it was kind of awesome IMO.

Yeah, it allowed me to not bite my nails for thirty seconds or so. :)

Is that what he said? I thought that was an amazing scene, but I couldn't figure out what he could possibly have said that made sense with Grissom's response. (Er... I actually thought he said something along the lines of "Grissom, I loved you!" but Grissom was like "You didn't" I knew that couldn't be it.)

I agree with you about Grissom's emotions, too.

Is it September yet???

I second that! The locker room scene between Warrick and Nick was fantastic. I know Tarantino wrote that whole scene, so it's pretty interesting how well and realistic it played out. I really liked that scene, it was one of my favorites.

You know, Hodges has grown on me, sort of like the mildew on my bathroom ceiling. This sealed the deal. He's alright. As for Ecklie, he was less smackable tonight. Much less smackable.

I agree, the comic relief was just that - a relief!! It really cracked me up when I needed it most and I thought it was great...so QT!

prego... pregnant? Sorry, just checking because "prego" just brought to mind tomato sauce for me. It'll be interesting to see, though. Perhaps Warrick will be flirting with her like he was and we'll find out about some situation that will explain her being pregnant (like a boyfriend or something).

Nick was hearing the coffin starting to cave under the weight. He had already kinda weakened the coffin by firing two shots at it and it was only a matter of time before it began to give under the pressure. He wasn't hearing anybody; he was hearing the creaking of the coffin about to crack which is why it did crack right afterward.
That makes more sense than what I thought...
