Happy New Year mariel! WB! :) The "tub" thread title is from Season 7's "Toe Tags".
The "Gilbert and Cathy" thread title is from the episode "Loco Motives" the suspect/guy in the epi calls Cath, Gil and Brass by their first names-- Cathy, Gilbert and Jimbo lol.

Good point there.. there's still hope that Gil would tell Cath he's leaving and they'll have the chance to say their goodbyes to each other. Warrick got the news from Hodges not from Gil himself though.
Hmm but even if Gil wouldn't be able to tell Cath we all know Hodges loves to disseminate 'info' around the lab.. ;) there's a chance that she will eventually hear about Gil's sabbatical.

Lalala I didn't read anything about a halo. :lol:
I think that during Gil's sabbatical he will also use his mobile phone a lot and will exchange lots of video messages w/ Cath.

well I hope he eveually tells her before he leaves and I hope she's the one he says "I'll miss you" to
I'm sure he will say something to Sara too but somehow it's going to be different between him and Cath

and yes Hottie his mobile phone will be used a lot I'm sure to call Cath, even just to check up on her and Lindsey

In the promo, Gil says to Warrick (about Catherine): " Be there for her, like you've been there for me".I think it is so cute and sweet that he leaves but still cares about her, about her getting all the help she needs. Tipical Grissom.

Wow...really love this episode. ANGSTANGSTANGST. "when did you know about this?" and I love how Grissom couldn't answer her. He really needs to straighten up his act, and just liked the flow of the episode (not to mention Marg's..ehem escapade ;)). Not too much G/C or the unmentionable ship either, and liked the continuity. Good episode. But will miss Billy/Gil terribly. Don't know if Liev can do the job. He has big shoes to fill.

So, as far as the case goes, it was alright. Nice shot at continuity. Sooner or later, I'm sure Catherine would have ran into Novak again. Plus I would like to hear the message he left on her phone when she didn't pick up. Ya know, I think Catherine is regressing to the past. My eyes nearly popped out my head when she started stripping for the prison guy. :eek: She's going to have problems with not having Gil around to strip for. :devil: As for Gil, I'm overjoyed by the fact that he asked Warrick to take care of her. It shows he still cares. But jeez, she was a bit mad when she realized he didn't tell her about the sabbatical until the day of. Plus we never got our big goodbye scene. I wanted GC to kiss, or at least hug :(, but hey, I guess Nick's the only one who gets to hug Gil lol. At least Catherine's the acting supervisor.

Sigh, I was expecting an Inside the Box moment in this epi where the goodbyes will be heartbreaking.. but anyways I was happy at least we got one scene. Yeah Cath was kind of surprised and upset at the same time that Gil didn't tell her earlier about his sabbatical.
And gals CBS said we need to go to if we want to see teaser clips for the next episodes.

Well, at least we figured out where that picture of Cath that Hottie posted a few pages back was from. Looks like it was Catherine's office. I didn't see any signs of Piggy or of the waterfowl though.

I mean they have been friend now for a long time he can't tell her he's leaving? Until the day before?

Maybe he thought she already knew by their looks and when she said "You look tired" ( I can't remember what episode that was in :eek:) He figred she knows him and knows he needs a break so he didn't need to tell her? I don't know?

Well, I enjoyed *most* of the episode. I thought that Cath's reaction when she found out Gil was leaving was very 'wife-like.' Extremely cute. When she walked out of his offince & kinda gave him that 'whatever' sighing sound. Yeah, don't know how to explain it, but it was just 'wife-y' of her.

But I bet they said their REAL goodbyes somewhere more, ahem, secluded. Like, maybe, a storage closet? Perhaps? :devil:

Hehe Heather, you don't need a spoiler tag once the show has been aired on the west coast. ;) As for where Catherine and Gil said their goodbyes to each other... Hm... I reckon they did it in a tub. :devil:

I thought Leaving Las Vegas was a great episode G/C wise. It was really sweet that he asked Warrick to look out for Cath. And it was good that he told her that he was leaving, and not get told by Hodges like everyone else.

And Gil looked genuinely upset when Catherine walked out really annoyed at him, and he seemed sorry that he hadnt told her before.

I thought the bit where Cath and Nick were talking about Grissom was hilarous, and the way that Nick was asking Catherine about Grissom, like he expected her to know why he had shaved his beard and things :)

I would have liked to see a hug, but the fact that Gil was concerned and kind of upset that Catherine wasnt back and he wanted to see her was great :D

The reaction Cath had was colder than what I expected. But that's still something.

Yeah, Gil did look really guilty, but in a way its good becuase it means that he still cares about her and how she feels.

And Catherine's reaction was quite cold, but that could have been because of the whole Novak case thing. But was probably because she was mad at him. And even if she is mad at him thats also good in a way, because it means she cares for him too :)

Maybe she was upset that he didn't tell her in private

they are friends and she thought she deserves something different than just the 'typical co-worker reaction'

but she did seem a little flustered at the whole Adam Novak thing too... Hopefully Gris saw that too and didn't elaborate right there in his office knowing that her full attention wasn't on Gris.
