That line is so sweet. Shows how important he is to her and that shell always have his back like he has hers :) And also that she knows his flaws and wont take advantage of them for her own benefit :D

If walls could talk...Gil's townhouse would be our best friend, I'm sure!!!

I just saw it again...She didn't shoot three times, she shoots FIVE times! well, that's LOVE. Unconditioned and PURE love! <3

I would like to be a little fly or one of his bugs when Catherine is in his townhouse :devil: I'm sure they don't just make good srewdrivers or delicious omelets :D

Oh, I hadn't dare to say it but I was sure that she shooted 5 times (there is a good fic about that but as usual, can't remember the title) :rolleyes:

First off, I would like to thank those of you who have steered the conversation away from GSR and other ships.

EDITED-I was mistaken about this part in my original post. This is the 2nd time I've had to come in here for this and hopefully it will be the last.

Stop talking negatively about other ships in this thread. This thread is for Gil/Catherine ONLY. If someone has a problem with the GSR ship or the way the writers are handling it, then it needs to be taken to the appropriate threads. This is NOT the thread. It can be taken to The Great Ship Debate thread or over to the CSI:Crime Scene Investigation forum.

There are multi-shippers and the above quote is offensive to them. It might also be offensive to anyone who reads this thread (including me).

I know I've posted it before but I feel the need to post it again. I know most of you guys have read this but for the ones who haven't, please read the Shipper Central Rules. They differ from the rest of the board.

Strip Strangler, eh?

Great, great episode. Prime example of what a season finale should look like :)

The scene at the beginning, where Grissom, Warrick & Sara are processing the room, and Sara wants to fingerprint something. Cath walks in and says don't bother because it's just gonna be like all the other scenes. -- Then Warrick's "Mr. Clean needs a maid" line :lol:

Next scene that comes to mind is the "learn to be more politic" scene. <3 When they're leaning over the desk, it looks like they're about to kiss. So very sweet. PureJoy.

When Gil gets taken off the case & the team goes to his house. The "If you're a civilian, we are" line from Cath is extremely cute. And the whole team talking about which case they're gonna work. Cute. One thing bothers me about that scene though - where'd Cath go?

The scene were Gil goes to talk to Syd Goggle. I love it. The whole back and forth about forensics just shows how smart this guy was, and the reasons they didn't catch him faster. Cath shooting him was amazing. :D After 2 shots it was kind of obvious that he was dead, but did she stop there? No. She put 5 shots into his chest. As if to say "You hurt my Gil, I hurt YOU!!"

The ending scene was beautiful. "Never doubt, never look back. That's how I live my life." "I admire that." And then the looks they give each other are so telling. If only the rest of the team hadn't come back at that moment, who knows what could've happened. ;)

Strip stragler.... I love the fact she just walks in "The door was open" or something like that.
This is when we first find out about his migraines, and Cath knowing about them.
I am not one to burst a bubble but... police personal are trained to empty their wepon (sorry!) we all know that she really did it for Gil.

She shot Goggle five times? :eek: I only thought it was twice or maybe even three times. But...five? Hmm...:lol: Go Cath Go.

Yeah, we really have to remember the fact that we have to stay on PureJoy and PureJoy only. To discuss other ships, we can do it over at the other thread. If you must rant, you can do it there, or in your head. Or you can come over to our Cozy Corner and discuss it with us.

I'm guessing since she was still "officially" leading this case, she went back to check on evidence - because in the very next scene, we see her with Greg getting results from the "ketchup DNA guy".

So many great scenes in this episode:
* Cath in Gil's house
* The "be more politic" scene
* the scene in the locker room where Gil has just been taken off the case and you see how much Cath does NOT want to be in charge of this, but only does because she doesn't want the FBI taking over things and decides to play a little bit of the political game to keep the team together.
* Cath shooting Goggle (didn't her 2nd or 3rd shot miss? I thought I saw a shot go to the back wall - or maybe a shot that just went through him?)
* The ending in the diner *sigh*
* I always think it's kind of appropriate that Gil was in danger at the end, because he's the one who dismissed Goggle right away at the beginning when Goggle asked if he could help, and Gil said something in reference to Dominic the security guard from Boom.

Another thing I've observed recently: since this episode was season 1, we hadn't seen our CSI's in peril very often and they all seemed reluctant to draw their weapons. Plus, I know TPTB had a big discussion on who they would have save Gil in that situation and Cath was the only one who could have handled it. Now into season 7, I can't see any of the CSIs hesitating to draw their weapons at any time. Nick just did in Fannysmackin the other night.

I love Strip Strangler. It's just such an awesome GC episode.

If Catherine's got the kind of gun I think she has, then she probably would have, what, 1 in the chamber and 5 in the pipe? So she had six shots...and she only used five? ;)

She's a damn good shot too. (I should know, considering I shoot like that too ;) )

I like how Catherine gets cranky at Gil. "Be more politic" and she's trying to keep him under control. Keep him in his job!

And me? A pervert? Fra, I'm hurt! ;)

yeah, but you leave one blank for safety reasons so yes, she probably unloaded all she had on goggle. when you watch observe that she doesn't even hesitate, she just shoots when she sees gil in danger.


as for fannysmackin'...viewers are quickly realizing the mistake. 56 seconds and they do not even look at each other once, only at the body or at brass. unless there is some understory running that we are not aware of yet then this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

True, C, I forgot about the blank. Thanks for reminding me.

I did like that she unloaded all she had on Goggle, because they're actually trained to just fall the person (leg or arm) to remove the weapon. THEN they shoot to kill if there's a continued thread.

So the fact that she unloaded into Goggle straight away - it shows her protectiveness over her man :)

Woops. I was gone for just one day and when I get back, you guys have been slapped not just once but twice. Naughty, weren't you? :D Well, I totally understand your dislike to one of the other ships, but as the mod said, this thread is for our ship and our ship only. I think it's okay to mention other ships as long as we stay on topic, but there's really no need to rant about something we don't like in here and upset ourselves. I, for one, would rather toss those issues aside and focus on PureJoy because...well it's the pure joy. :)

Now, how about another cap? ;)
