That we Nordic countries are
(Finland isn't in Scandinavia, just for the record and yes I know usually outsiders mix Scandinavia and Nordic Countries) Norway is actually a damn expensive country. With gasprices, Sweden and Norway has always been ahead of us
I remember one family driving to Norway and their dad had refused to buy gasoline in Norway because it was so much more expensive
Norway is oddball *hides from Siri* since it's very rich country (one of the richest in the world) and they've been smart enough not to join EU
I don't know about other Nordic countries, but with high taxes we get great, free and equal education for everyone. And healthcare system. In Sweden, I've heard that state helps people to get computers (they have some strange computer-to-every-home principle, they are also so much ahead with broadbands and all)
So, isn't that terrible that other countries start to be more expensive than your country
But see, with some taxes... it's bad for country next to you if other changes taxes. See, Finns drink lots of alcohol (doh!) and because our leaders were afraid that we start to travel more to Estonia, when it joins EU because you can bring more taxfree alcohol (same with Sweden) so they reduced alcohol tax. (that reminds me that I should make little trip to Stockholm or Talling soon
)They hoped it wouldn't meant that people would start to drink more (LOL! We just started to buy more stronger alcohol) Well, then Swedes start to whine at us that now they have to reduce it as well
Of course Swedes made comment "Here people wouln't start to buy more, unlike Finns"
Anyways...with gasoline. It's funny how they can rise it a lot in one night, but it takes month to get it back to same where it was before rising  even world would have been stabil for quite a while.
