Re: "Gary/Warrick Total Appreciation!!" Part 2

OK, here's my take: I know that in the past, he has had a history with abusing drugs. I can't say that we shouldn't be judgmental, even if a lot of us hate that this is happening. However, we can never know the circumstances surrounding this. Even if it had something to do with his leaving, there may be more going on in his life than being let on, and no amount of PR can smooth that over.

Well said. I first heard it from my mom. We were watching Access Hollywood and I had walked to get a drink and my mom shouts get in here, news about a CSI actor. She told me Warrick (she isnt one to rmeember actor names) had been arrested on drug charges. So i went online to see what I could find. And as odd as this sounds I praying for it just to be for pot. Not that if it was it would still stink but def. not as bad as what I learned.

I always thought his character's more recent story line with the drugs that he did such a great job. And i thought oh, they did a really great job with make up or Gary didnt sleep for a while to help with scenes.

Like many I dont know if this has anything to do with his leaving the show or what. I just hope that this is some set back and he can get the help he needs. He isnt the first celeb to have drug issues and wont be the last. And many that have had issues have gotten better. So I wish Gary the absolute best with his current situatioin. He is and will still remain one of my favorite actors. His departure from CSI, whenever (epi. wise) and however (being just that he quits or something more dramatic) will be very sad.

One last thing for those who have heard and read about this~ I have only read what was found in his vehicle drug wise. It never said what he was on. if it was drugs and alcohol or what. Has there been any update???

Since it happened after the report he left the show its hard to say. But I would a contributing factor to CBS firing him. Maybe they suspected he was using or something along those lines and where trying to get rid of him before it came into light. Since nothing was disclosed about him being fired who knows. As much as I hate to say it but the drug issues help piece together the reasons he is leaving CSI. At first it was all a mystery, not so much anymore.

No updates I know of as of yet. But I've not really been looking to hard since it just depresses me. But lets just hope he gets all the help he needs and gets his life back on track.

Re: "Gary/Warrick Total Appreciation!!" Part 2

It's really sad about Gary, actually. In many way's it is life imitating art--Warrick's addition and personal issues affected his performance on the job, and the same thing has happened with Gary. I hope the man gets the help he needs because he is a great actor.

Re: "Gary/Warrick Total Appreciation!!" Part 2

Don't know if any of you saw this, but Gary has spoken out about his arrest.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
“CSI” star Gary Dourdan has issued a statement to Access Hollywood over his arrest in Palm Springs last weekend.
Dourdan was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning in Palm Springs, for drug possession after being found asleep in his car, allegedly in the driver’s seat, parked on the wrong side of the road.
“Obviously I certainly wish I hadn’t been responsible for so many people getting to the festival’s VIP area,” Dourdan wrote in an e-mail to Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson, referring to California’s annual Coachella festival, which he regularly attends. “And the after party, it ran me ragged, but I’m glad pulling over did prevent a DUI. I recommend not driving at all, but a little kip (nap) is always good (on either side of the road LOL).”
When officer’s searched Dourdan’s vehicle they found “suspected cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, miscellaneous prescription drugs and paraphernalia,” local police previously told Access Hollywood.
He was arrested and released on $5,000 bail at 10:30 AM on Monday.
In his e-mail, Dourdan said the substances found in the car did not belong to him.
“I am blessed that the Sgt. realized that the luggage carrying whatever they found was not mine and that my tests have been coming back negative,” Dourdan’s e-mail continued. “I’ve been happy to cooperate in any way to clear myself and go on with my blessed life.”
Dourdan offered his apologies to his fans, in the message.
“I am so sorry to all my fans, especially the young ones, like Taylor Swift, who I should’ve been supporting with my daughter instead of driving tired in the desert,” he wrote. “I am planning events to get the word out that you don’t need a bunch of nasty chemicals to have a good time. Just good friends, family, good music and a good honest spirit full of faith.”
Dourdan had been expected to present teen country sensation Swift an award at Hollywood Life Magazine’s 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards, last Sunday, as “CSI” is a favorite show of the star.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Dourdan is leaving “CSI” and will not return to the series in the fall.

Thanks for the info stokesgirl. Finally some good news. I like how he apologizes to his fans at the end. Also the part he states about the 'not needing nasty chemicals' makes me feel better. But it still makes me wonder who's luggage was in his car that had the drugs in it. At least now he will be leaving the show on a bit better not then before.

Re: "Gary/Warrick Total Appreciation!!" Part 2

Thank you so much for that article, stokesgirl! It really cheered me up. :D

Re: "Gary/Warrick Total Appreciation!!" Part 2

I had a dream a few nights ago that Gary came to my house and sat me down to have a "talk" with me about what happened with the drugs. Apparently, in my dream, he'd been following my internet career for a few weeks and was hurt to see how badly I'd taken news of his arrest. Accroding to him, in my dream, he'd been on a quest to find out who his biggest fan was and moreover who would be named YoBling's biggest fan. Apparently, in my dream, he'd written countless emails and joined ff.net and talk CSI and sent countless PM's to all sorts of YoBling fans and it was "lostladyknight" that came out of people's mouths most often.

Anyway... so he was sitting in my living room and he kept asking me to please just stop being angry because he wanted to talk to me about what happened. He said that I deserved to know the full truth and the real story. Unfortunately when he tried to tell me that the drugs weren't his I told him to get off his drug addict ass and go home to his children. (I was really angry.) Well, I was staying in a BAD neighborhood at the time (my brother's house is in the worst neighborhood I've ever been in and I was staying there the night I had the dream.) and Gary insisted on staying the night because I was home alone with my 2 year old nephew and if I got robbed he'd be there to protect me.

That went a long way. The next day I sat down and heard him out and then he asked me to promise that I'd never give up on him, Warrick, or YoBling.

Now I see this statement... it's kinda weird how my subconscious was telling me the same thing. I know it was because I didn't want to believe the allegations but it's still nice to believe that the Gary that spent time with me in my dream was a better image of the real Gary than I've been lead to believe in the past weeks.

LLK you are a psychic or something cause you mentioned something about a bad feeling you had before he left the show. I'm so amazed right now. You have to keep us updated on any feelings or more dreams you have. Like you I will always believe in Gary working out his issues and YOBLING. And as my siggy says I will always love Warrick Brown.

Re: "Gary/Warrick Total Appreciation!!" Part 2

WOW, lostladyknight that is pretty amazing:vulcan: now today it wasn't his stuff, a big mistake, he was clean, had just been drinking at the music festival, and pulled over to avoid a DUI, or something worse, which is smart. I was so shocked when I first heard this, I couldn't get him out of my brain, he always came across as a jock and a sports nut, and I never imagined that he was into this kind of spiral, so apparently it was all a hugh mistake, thank goodness  I've never heard one hint of scandal from any of the CSI's so this was so out of character:confused:

Thank you, desertwind! I've never seen his kids before... That's such a beautiful photo! And his son's name is really unique... :bolian:

Re: "Gary/Warrick Total Appreciation!!" Part 2

Wow, that was great pic of Gary and his kids.

However, this is not going to make you happy. This is from eonline

Gary Dourdan's very own crime scene investigation has just landed him in some serious doo-doo.
The soon-to-be-former CSI star was slapped with three drug-related felonies today stemming from last week's bust in Palm Springs, E! News has learned.
Identified by his legal name, Robert Gary Durdin, the 41-year-old actor was rung up on three counts of possession of a controlled substance after getting caught with heroin, cocaine and Ecstasy, Riverside District Attorney spokesman Michael Jeandron said. (View the criminal complaint.)
Although the charges carry maximum penalties that include prison time, the actor would likely avoid the slammer by enrolling in a drug-diversion program if convicted.
"Upon successful completion of such a drug-treatment program, the charges could be dismissed," Jeandron said, citing California's Proposition 36.
Palm Springs police found Dourdan sleeping behind the wheel of his car on the side of the road about 5:12 a.m. on April 28, hours after attending the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Per the police report, Dourdan appeared "disoriented" and under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. A search of the vehicle turned up cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, a number of prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Dourdan was taken in and booked for possession of narcotics and possession of dangerous drugs. He was released several hours later on $5,000 bail.
In an email to a friend at Access Hollywood that was leaked over the weekend, Dourdan said he had pulled over to "prevent a DUI."
"I recommend not driving at all, but a little kip [nap] is always good (on either side of the road LOL)." He also insisted, "The luggage carrying whatever they found was not mine and my tests have been coming back negative."
"I've been happy to cooperate in any way to clear myself and go on with my blessed life."
Dourdan's eight-season stint playing pill-popping analyst Warwick Brown on CSI came to an end several weeks ago, after his reps and CBS failed to agree on a contract extension.
His final appearance on CSI is May 15. His next court date in the drug case is May 28.

I really hope all works out for Gary and if he really does have a drug problem that he gets the help he needs. I hope what he said in the email is true and that the drugs were not his. He'll need his fans more than ever now.

Even though I'm upset about it thanks for posting the information, stokesgirl. As I have said before I just hope he gets the help he needs. Also as sad as I am to see him leaving CSI, I hope once all of these drug issues are over with he will return to acting and his music. Although I'm angry at him on some levels about getting involved with such a stupid things as drugs, I will remain a faithful fan.

Re: "Gary/Warrick Total Appreciation!!" Part 2

I am like.... speechless. That is so sad. I never saw it coming, it's just shocking. I hope he is in good hands so he will quit using drugs.
