"Family Affair" Tenth Season Premiere Discussion *SPOILERS*

The rules state that a ship may be discussed here if it pertains to the episode. So discussing finding out about Grissom and Sara's marriage is apparently in line with the rules of this board.

This is correct. :) Feel free to discuss.

I can't wait to see this show on Thursday night. I knew Sara is married to Grissom by looked at the picture. I like to see Sara by herself without Grissom followed her around like a sick puppy. Don't get me wrong, I miss Grissom, but I like to see Sara without Grissom coming around all the time, Remeber 7th season, Half of the episode is Grissom and Sara all the time. I do like Sara and Grissom together. I guess she feel smothered by Grissom, so she has to get away from him for a little while. You can love the person and you don't want to get smothered by the person all the time, like 24/7.

In Primum Non Nocere, which is kinda the whole 'OMG! GSR!' beginning moment:

<This happens after Grissom disses hockey>
The Since I met you line was a Billy ad-lib, and if you see the bloopers, Jorja's all 'WTF!? That wasn't in MY script!' Her reaction in the episode is her actual first take reaction to Billy popping out with that and she's all 'Uh ... I have a line here' and goes back into the scene, totally flustered. Which always amused the hell out of me.

I'm confused. Have I stumbled onto a GSR thread again..darn..I'm blind..

I know it's a spoiler, but is this going to take up the whole thread.

With all due respect, there were like 9 posts totally referencing GSR and the majority were posted by those who aren't that fond of it. The person quoted here has never said she was a GSR fan. She's a Jorja fan. And I believe she was explaining to someone how the baseball tied into this spoiler.

The rules state that a ship may be discussed here if it pertains to the episode. So discussing finding out about Grissom and Sara's marriage is apparently in line with the rules of this board. It's not like you see 50 posts of people sqee-ing. I think I might of 2 second squee-d on here but come on. I'd hardly call that excessive....

Okay, then we've discussed it. I have a question that's on a different matter if no one minds me asking..whose the dude with Catherine that gets shot?

My guess is that he's a suspect or a witness... unless he's someone trying out for a job there or something.

Or Catherine's two-legged bullet proof vest....

I'm sure to find the actual shooter they'll be checking for GSR...

Around every corner....

OH..Grissom and Sara are behind the shooting..dang..they've really come to a low point in their relationship when they're trying to take each other out.

I was trying to explain the whole baseball being a Grissom thing ... thing :) (Most people know that my 'support' of GSR has only ever been because GSR means more screen time for Jorja, and I like Jorja. I'm shallow that way.)

I'm torn on what I think about Riley's exit interview. On the one hand, I have no issue with her being snide and bitter. I mean, she burnt her yearbooks. She always seemed like a very internally angry woman to me, which is probably why I didn't like her. I don't need MORE 'I'm a CSI because of my crappy past' back stories. That said, she always seemed more like the sort who would tell Catherine to her face that she could go to hell. Obviously it's a re-write because they can't film that scene, but it makes me wonder what happened behind the scenes.

I finally caught up on last season, which I hadn't watched all of since WP left. Wow, it really did get bad fast!

Grissom: "You killed my cockroaches!!"

Sara: "You killed my depressing personality!!"

BANG BANG

(I only jest. I have no real problem with GSR :p)

I also don't like the way Riley is leaving.I didn't care either way about her but now I am sort of upset with her for some reason.Hopefully,it will be better when the episode airs.

But the Sara and catherine scene is very promising.I remember when Sara found out about Hank that Catherine offered her a drink or something. That was nice and I want more then that.

On Sara 'leaving Grissom" I don't see it that way at all:confused: He's teaching, and if Ecklie did call her back to help out, he most likely encouraged her and said "go for it" It's a temporary thing. The great thing about both of them is they don't bog each other down and are still independent. Sara seems strong like she used to be, and will help out Cath, in what ever area needed. :bolian:

Ok, DW, I'll give you that. That would be a plausible explanation.

However, they have indicated that she is having trouble adjusting, so this is why I believe she's 'walking away' (not leaving the marriage). Every marriage has adjustments, you just don't leave your spouse because you're having a hard time dealing. :wtf: That shows to me, that you're not ready for marriage or were never for it in the first place. Which she has shown.

It's kind of a 'be careful what you wish for, because it just might come true' thing.

I respect your opinion speedystokes but NAH, she wanted him for so long and waited and waited till he came around, she's nuts about the guy, she knows the in's and out's of him, and whatever he delivers she's OK with it.. I think it'll all come out on the premiere, and FYI there's some info about Nicky on the spoiler thread so take a peek:p I want to know the descrepancies of the serial killer who is it, or do we not know, and the shooting up of the lab. who's doing this... soon soon:borg:

Yeah, I saw that spoiler, thanks! However he was sounding a little chauvenistic in his remark. Whatever happened to you coming home and cooking for her? :wtf: That's the second time I've wanted to smack that man for a comment like that. The other time was when Warrick got married and Nick is asking him if she can cook? *smack*. Men!! (sorry guys)

Alright, alright, I'd make breakfast or dinner for him, but that's beside the point.

Oh another thing there Georgie, Nick works the graveyard shift. That means she would be cooking dinner, actually a very late dinner, for you when you're leaving for work, not coming from it, that would be called 'breakfast'!

I'm glad they'll be explaining what his sudden bug fetish is! I just don't want him eating anymore flies. :wtf: Because that was...well...gross! :wtf:

I think this is another case of something he said not coming out right. I don't think he meant it as something sexist... I just don't think that's in his nature. I think he meant it more as a casual thing, it just came out wrong.

Good point about how it wouldn't be dinner when he got home from the graveshift.
