The only time I heard Sara say she was against marriage was in Rashomama and her words to Nicky was that she wasn't anti-marriage but anti-stupid as in people who do things for the sake of tradition without knowing the reason why.
And married life is a whole nuther ballgame than just being together or living together. It really does change things. So having a difficult time or having a period of adjustment is to be expected and not a sign that the marriage is doomed.
I don't know why she can now do the job she once couldn't. But I don't think it's impossible that she could. Confronting one's past, a loving relationship, therapy, good drugs - any one of these things could enable her to come back.
NICK: Wow, for somebody who's anti-wedding, you certainly know a lot about it.
SARA: I'm not anti-wedding. I'm just anti-stupid -- you know, people who do things for the sake of tradition with no clue as to why.
See even Nick knows she's anti-wedding/marriage. Through that whole episode she just oozed anti-marriage and what person doesn't know why the get married or have a wedding? :shifty:
So I'm thinking Sara is clueless, because, yes, every marriage has an adjustment period, but you just don't leave your husband because you're having a hard time adjusting.
I mean this is the THIRD time she has walked out on Grissom. She might go back to him, but then she'll do it again.
Now that fact that she left him, again, could spell doom. If she can't stay with him to do her adjusting, then she will fail in this marriage. She waited 9 long years for Grissom to finally come to her, he gave up EVERYTHING to be with her and she leaves him, again!!!! Fine, CSI needs help, but she (Sara) should've said 'no'.
Besides by the time two people get married they know each very well and there wouldn't be a period of adjustment needed. They lived together, for pete's sake, she knows what it was like and what it would be like.
Nope, don't buy it, won't buy it, never will buy it.
Now having said all of that, I do like the scene between her and Catherine. Now if that's how Sara helps Catherine realize her role as a supervisor, I could buy that. Let's face it, Grissom would have been lost without Catherine.
Oh and I'm not buying the whole Nick is going to be promoted thing either, until I actually SEE it. Too many times they have said something about Nick and nothing happened. I could see them deleting that scene because there just wasn't enough time. I know everyone, including George Eads, has said it will happen, but that doesn't mean it won't be taken out. The episodes are turned, sometimes, within minutes of airing.
I am totally psyched for this episode and it better now let me down.:shifty:
