Well, I guess that clip closes the "are they or aren't they" argument. And Grissom likes baseball? Never knew that... or if I did, I forgot.
So, I guess the writers were showing the lack of Cath's leadership skills for a reason last season. I thought they were just neglecting to show it in order to have more screentime for Ray.
I like this scene between Cath and Sara though. It feels like two old friends getting together to talk about their lives. We've never really had this sort of thing between these two before. So, I'm really happy that they finally decided to give them a scene like this. Very nice.
I'm thinking this is gonna be my second favorite scene in the episode (after the Sara/Greg hug scene, which is too adorable for words).
Is it Thursday yet?
I still don't see how the team was that messed up though. I mean Riley was new anyway. She was hardly there much with Grissom. Personally I would not go by what she had to say. Now if Nick or Greg, who have been there for ages said something, that would be really something to consider.
It was kind of messed up, but I just didn't notice it until it was brought up in this scene. Now looking back on everything, I do think there was a lack of cohesion. And the fractured part is to be expected due to Sara leaving, Warrick dying, Sara leaving again and then Grissom leaving... its gonna be a bit hard to get into the swing of things after all of that change.
But, I think that it makes sense that Riley was saying that being that she was a Level 2 who came in from some place else. She would have her former supervisor's skills to compare this to. Now if Riley had come in as a Level One who had never worked as a CSI before, then no, it wouldn't make any sense at all. But, she had been a CSI elsewhere. I just wonder if she would have had any thoughts about Grissom's skills as supervisor being that the two butted heads a bit.
I think that if Nick and/or Greg thought these things, they wouldn't say it because they love Cath and respect her [as a friend and longtime-colleague] way too much to actually say it.
