Don't really have anything to add; you all pretty much covered it. :D Some of Calleigh's lines really confused me though; she needs to stop with the mixed signals. Loved Eric bringing up the fact that she read his file - I've been waiting for them to acknowledge that again since forever. :D

The scene in front of the elevator frustrated me beyond nothing else, lol. I wanted Eric to get frustrated too and just say "You know what I want."

I'm glad we got something at all tonight, though. :D

Now was that an eppy for us or what? my thoughts:

1. Sitting on their kits by the curb waiting for Tripp. That's so cute, it was like they were on their first date at the playground or something! This was a sweet scene btw them but like someone else said, did Cal deliberately play dumb about not knowing how much their friendship means to him? I think she did that so she didn't have to actually admit anything or say what he wanted to hear from her. She twisted it around to say her reading his file was completely unrelated case and wanted to respect his privacy - how can you do that when it directly involves you?? She knows how he feels about her yet she wants him make the 1st move. But I do love how they were smiling at each other like they knew what the other were thinking until good o'l Tripp interrupts them! I'm thinking if they weren't interuppted, would Eric would actually tell her? Prolly not... cute, Cal look like she had her hand caught in the cookie jar and quickly changed the subject when Frank asked about their "picnic".

2. he had his 2nd chance to tell her how he really feels when he got off the elevator but he didnt (what is it about E/C and outside elevators? it reminded me of when Jake kissed her and poor Eric witnessed it LOL). For once, the promo didn't lie and her comments about being "confused/what do you want?" is really about them, thank God, I was giving up hope for any purpose of a promo :lol: YOu guys are right, she did turn the tables on him so quickly when she said she wanted him to spit it out and say what he feels, he was speechless. He didn't say anything and just stared at her. I was waiting for him to say something but he didn't! Boy has Eric really changed, he was like Charlie Brown who couldn't tell the little red-haired girl that he really likes her. Cal said unless he actually says the words to her about how he feels/what he wants from her, she doesn't think he even believes it himself what he wants, and says "do you know what I mean?". And she WALKS away from him and he still doesn't do anything! At first I felt bad for Eric and it was cold of Calleigh to walk away from him but I can see how she's frustrated b/c he won't actually do or say anything, just pussyfoots around and he can't force himself to tell her exactly how he feels. She knows how he feels, he knows she knows but she needs him to say it. Yes, that definitely sets up 7.16 when she gets hurt, can't wait!

3. Did anybody notice that there was a brief scene of E/C walking towards the military school to question the son of the slain family? We don't hear what they are saying but it's obvious they're having a conversation. But it looks like only Calleigh is doing most of the talking and the scene ends with her smiling a bit and Eric with a more worried expression on his face? ARe they talking about the case? ABout the discussion they just had? Guess it would have to be about the case since we're supposed to get something big in 7.16 and they're saving it for then.

I'm sooooo sorrrry for the long ramble
 
Jennifer, thanks for your reporting about E/C scenes, b/c I'm waiting this ep yet :).
It's very good for me to know opinions of every Hiphuggers shipper before I can see new episode.
I'm glad we actually can see real talking about relations and feelings, instead about "the good team" !!!!!!
 
I loved how he looked at her and said "Well what if I don't want to! the way he said it was like his mouth went into overdrive, and he was going to pull it out of her and when she flipped it on him his brain farted and the tires went flat!

He didn't know what to do! Lol! I still can't beleave he screwed the pooch like that What the hell I still can beleave it! God My head is busting now this is to much for my fragile self! Somebody Please! Stop the Madness! My brain is going to short circut!

You know, I liked that part too when he said that and I was thinking, ooh, here it comes, he's going to tell her something!........aaaannddd, he doesn't. I was pulling out my hair, come on Delko, tell her! But I was surprised when she said he needs to say what he wants and walks away. It's not like she's been open with him, it's not her to express her feelings and let someone into her heart so easily and let them know. I was like, "Are you going to kiss her or not!" when she said "what do you want?" b/c you know, actions speak louder than words !
 
ya know I think when she turned to walk off he should have grabbed her by the arm flung her around real fast and pulled a Jake on her right there in front of God & everybody, and then he should have looked at her and said I know what I want! You tell me what you want! and turned and walked off and left her standing there with that dazed and confused look that you have after someone kiss you and catches you off gaurd! That would have been a funny and very intence scene! And then she could either follow him down the hall or hunt him down later.

I saw the CTV promo. they showed Calleigh riding a horse alongside the horse guy and then followed by a shot of Eric looking at his cell (reading a text msg?) as he's walking to his car, maybe before or after work? But right before that they showed the russian mafia head guy, or whatever he's called, from Raging Cannibal says to H about his team being a target but i could be wrong, I only saw it once. I know for the scene with Calleigh on the horse had a target on her as if someone's about to shoot her but I couldn't remember if it's ditto for Eric's scene! Does that mean Eric's "russian" dad is putting a hit on Calleigh and another one on Eric? Or is this some misleading promo again they just edited in the target to overlap Calleigh's scene just for the promo!!!....I'm confused!

I think he might have gotten his bravado back after the shooting if he hadn't fallen for Calleigh so fast, and then had to watch her date someone else for a good year and a half or so. That's gotta put a crimp in a guy's confidence. But c'mon, Eric! Get it together!

In other news, I am a big fat liar, and totally wrote a post-ep. Oops.

Oh My God, Eric was so timid and hesitating!!! Poor guy, where is his former sureness and frankness?

The most unpleasant, Сalleigh looked such disappointed, when she hasn't get the answer from him ((((((

I wish Eric takes his chance on conversation with Calleigh as soon as possible while she hasn't stoped to trust him, as same were for other men in her life.

I completely agree with your long ramble ;)
I think she really loves him but is terrified that once they are together he'll realize she is not the one after all or that she isn't that fantastic or something like that. It would be his first serious relationship. She just wants him to be really sure because after Jake, she doesn't want to get hurt again.
At first I thought as well it was cold for her to walk away but I can see she's really frustrated with him. Always the hints but never the words. I can see why she said she didn't know if he really believes it. Off course we all know he really means it and that he loves her but... With her getting hurt in the future episode it should be a chance for Eric to spill his feelings!
The scene were they were waiting on Frank was indeed very cute. Especially when Frank interrupted and she cleared her throat and quickly got on her feet. she was busted.
I'm still very happy we got something. I think it was a big step forward! It's all in Eric's hands. I can't wait for the next episodes.
 
Though I really didn't like how she reacted in scene by the elevator I understand her. I mean she just gave him a green light and he said nothing :confused:. I don't know why he did it. It's obvious he loves her with all his heart :luvlove:. And maybe that's it, he fell in love so hard for the first time in his life, so he can be a little scared. Especially now when she didn't reject him. Anyway he have to do something fast or it will be to late.

It's really frustrating, but I guess it's one of those baby steps. At least they talked and maybe it's a good start for something bigger. We know somewhat about 7.14 and 7.16, so maybe this will be the pivotal point in their relationship.

I just watched the episode. The only reason EC scenes hadn't left me :wtf: is that I already knew what happened. Eric really needs a pair of... you know what I mean... Still, I felt sorry for him. I just can't wait to see where does this take their relationship (and it better takes them in the right direction). It could be very interesting. Jennifer, thanks for reporting the details, you made my morning... :)
 
I think the epi was well played out in terms of technical aspects. Frankly, they needed this stepping stone before 7.14. And that is pretty much guaranteed as our turning point. So, I understand why the writers didn't have Eric respond.

BUT, I think Eric should have responded. Even if he

*SEXY SMOULDERING ERIC STARE!!!*

but yeah. and of course i could see her responding all breathless and flustered. wouldnt we be like crazy if Eric said that to us?!

But props to Cal for finally growing some balls, and shame on Eric for losing his.:guffaw:
