Looks like I won't be dropping the show after all. They didn't pull any Mutant X type sci-fi stunts.Carolyn318:
But I swear, if this episode pulls a sci-fi stunt like last week's episode did when Horatio got out of that exploded, burning Hummer clean and uninjured then I'm gonna drop this show like a hot potato, faster than you can say or type Horatio Caine, so fast it'll make your heads spin, even if the writers strike ends at midnight tonight-Alabama time. You can quote me on that and you can carve it in stone too.

I liked this week's episode a lot more than last weeks.
I told my husband after last week's episode, 'You watch, Horatio will be driving an identical bronze Hummer next week even though his just got blown up...' Sure enough! I guess they just took the replacement out of petty cash.
I was glad to see Micah Alberti on the show. I think he's good, and it was nice to see him outside of a teen drama show. I gave up on Wildfire partway into the second season and am not sure why I watched it that long. We met him and sat at a dinner table with him at a charity fund raiser last year; he's nice.
I thought the case was well done, with few of the leaps of logic I've seen in some of the episodes this season. I wish they wouldn't do silly things like have the women CSIs working crime scenes in high heels, though. All three CSI shows do that.
One thing that still strikes me as odd, is that Horatio and Calleigh have not shared one scene together since the season began. I am wondering why that is.

Normally I don't like Natalia centric episodes but I actually really enjoyed this one. They also managed to develop her character without adding too much personal drama.
It was also refreshing to see an episode begin and end with characters other than Horatio.
And Horatio didn't shoot anyone. Lately he's been a little too trigger happy for me. I mean he's a CSI not James Bond.
All of the characters seemed happier and it kind of reminded me of the earlier seasons, especially the scene with Valera, Eric and Calleigh. All in all, very enjoyable.
Why does Calleigh wear heals to a crime scene? Seriously was smart woman would wear that to a job where you can be there for 24 hours or more?
