Episode #522 'Burned' ***CONTAINS SPOILERS***

Oh my gee, Ryan... Will he be staying and recurring on the show? Is there any possibility he comes back? It was amazingly sad...

Why was Horatio smiling as Ryan was leaving? That creeped the living bejesus out of me. Way to care about your team, Ho.

There's room for two couples in the Hummer. I say Horatio and Yelina take the back seat and Eric and Calleigh rock the trunk. Can't handle all this sexual tension!

Valera! And her new spunky hair! She looked adorable. Still wish it were brown, but it looks like she's letting her natural color grow out. Thank Jebus.

CSIFray
He will...go to the S5 spoiler thread for that :)

OMG wow what an episode. I loved it!!! It was awesome throughout and the end left me drooling for more.
I'm so glad Yelina got more airtime than what I had feared. We're caught a glimpse of Super H unraveling.

I LOVED Valera's hair in this ep...

It looked more like a good luck smile to me... you know H...

Ho hum, all the H/Y had my wanting to Squee

I screamed for about a minute when I saw Yelina, just so happy.

Poor Ryan though, and I really don't get why Horatio was smiling when Ryan left, unless it was a kind of, don't worry it'll be fine, type smile. But who knows.

I officially love this episode though! * runs away to watch again*

Haha I screamed too, HoratioandYelina, especially after when she emerged from behind the car and Horatio was caught off guard. It was too cute!!!

omg Ryan looks sooooooooooooooooooo sexy tonite i love him i can't belived what happened to Ryan i cried ( i am a dork i know) but the bright side he that he is stll on the show. This episode was good i liked but i can't wait till next monday the promo looked really good and it looked like there is going to be some major drama between the CSI's and ryan

I missed the first part of this so apparently I missed Valera and some sort of good Frank moment. :( oh well, I'll catch it tomorrow on innertube.
I can't believe Ryan lied right to H's face. Doesn't he know that H knows everything that goes on?? but I guess he was just trying to protect everyone like he said in the end. but still...

Also, does Stetler even own a mirror?? Who the hell dresses this man? His tie hurt my eyes.

From what I saw I really really liked this episode. I can't wait to see the beginning tomorrow.

OMG E/C, Yelina and Ryan getting fired....WOW this ep had it all. I can't wait til next week when we find out exactly how everyone is handling Ryan being fired.

I really think Stetler enjoys his job way tooo much...ya know.

I hope they bring Yelina back again next season...the only downside was the tiny tiny role Valera had....I mean c'mon give her some more screen time

Talk about INTENSE. There was a lot of screen time between Eric and Calleigh. Eric, poor guy, you can read like an open book. He blushes way too easily.

Guess who's back, back again, Yelina's back, tell a friend. I am glad that she had a lot of screen time.

Is it just me, or did Ryan seem somewhat drunk in the end? Like after he had the conversation with Horatio he went and kicked back a few beers?

AARRGGH!! Ok, some stupid show on at 8, and The Black Donnelys on at 10! These are times when you just HATE haveing 5 channels! I've heard there's a cable channel or something, that has CSI Miami airing one after the other. Is this true?

Jeez - I'm really upset about the whole Ryan thing - I mean, maybe he would've felt comfortable telling H if Horatio actually had a good relationship w/him - and the rest of the team for that matter. I mean, H didn't even have "the stones" to fire Ryan himself - In CSI:NY, there was an intense scene between Mac and one of his CSI's, and he says "you're fired," and my jaw dropped. This was just lame - I mean, Horatio has absolutely NOBODY's back - except that call girl Anna - WTF?

It's always Cal who's steppin' in, but I guess she's been otherwise occupied (don't even get me started on that subplot...what CSI:Miami needs is not romance, but to show the true friendship between these characters - all the characters - show the bonds - let them have a drink together after work or something - it's like no one cares anymore. I hate that Cal's getting on Ryan's case in the next episode - it's like they don't even care about what's going on w/him.)

And then the look H gave Ryan when he was leaving - what the heck was that all about? 'Nice knowin' ya?' I mean, Ryan started out as a damn good CSI, and obviously H wasn't close enough to him - like he was with Speed and Eric and Calleigh in Seasons 1 & 2 — to realize he was going through some hard times. Horatio's turned into this robot that doesn't give a damn about his team. Why would Ryan confide in H when he's still calling him "Mr. Wolfe" all the time? I mean, it boggles the mind.

The Horatio Caine I used to know and love is MIA. It's official - Calleigh Duquesne is running this lab!

I think what got Horatio so mad was the fact that Ryan lied to him, knowing that Horatio had evidence. Had he come clean, things could've gone differently. When Eric was caught scoring pot, he was honest about it. Ryan kept on lying even after he was confronted. I think that's why Horatio didn't do anything. Ryan made his choice when Horatio gave him an out and he didn't take it.

Not that I'm defending Horatio, the world's worst boss, it's not like Ryan did anything to save himself.

I don't know what Calleigh could've done, either. Ryan dug his own grave here.

Horatio gave Wolfe every opportunity possible to come clean with him. Wolfe chose not to and then got caught by surveillance. What was Horatio supposed to do? When someone gets fired, IAD handles the actual dismissal. Besides, Horatio was still caught up in the glow of having just seen Yelina, hence his smile. I mean, my God, it has been a year since the poor guy lost Marisol. He's ready for some romance. Probably not with Sofia Milos though. She's not even listed as starring in next week's episode.

Yea, I'm totally confused about Ryan's rationale for lying - How did he think his lying going to protect the lab? I mean, they're going to have to review all his cases now - this isn't like what Eric did when he decided to "settle" the lawsuit against him for the sake of the lab.

You know what, though, I'm sick of Eric being a "martyr" and Ryan being the "punching bag" - these writers had it in for Ryan since Season 4.

Overall, I just think Horatio didn't care enough to press Ryan about it - He was just like, "This is your last chance..." He could've said, "If you're tryin to protect the lab, it's not gonna work out..." It was like an interrogation - with Eric, Horatio was personal with him, and of course Eric had "noble" intentions, b/c he's the golden child. (OK, no offense to Delko, I like him, but seriously, do his intentions always have to be so pure?)

I just think Ryan was always treated like a step-child on the show, and was only ever really accepted by Calleigh. I think if Cal caught wind of this, Ryan may have opened up to her and she could've given him good advice. In Death Pool 100, he came clean w/her (after some major incriminating evidence, but still, H had that too).

I just think H didn't really care in the end - and that look said it all. Looks like he may have even "ratted him out" to Stetler.

I think what I wanted was an intense scene where Horatio fires him - it all seemed so anti-climatic. Who knows, maybe they'll find Ryan six months from now as a crispy DB at a crime scene, and everyone will feel sad...(yea, that's a reference to CSI:NY, not like the writers haven't been recycling material lately...)
