Dear Writers...

Well, writers, it looks like we're united in our loathing of Julia. She's officially overstayed her welcome. It's time to kick her unstable butt to the curb.

I think virtually all of your fans also want to see a reconnection between the entire team. Like mjszud said, do what you have to do - get them working together or at least twiddling their thumbs together. This dyad-at-the-crime-scene thing is getting OLD.

Also, let's see a multi-episode story arch that doesn't have to do with the Russian mob. Giving one of the characters a stalker was a good idea. Give it to Natalia. She's been all but ignored this past season and she deserves the spotlight. You're doing yourself, your fans, and Eva LaRue a disservice by pushing Natalia to the backburner.

I think you know how many fans support Eric & Calleigh and how many oppose Eric & Calleigh. I think you also know that both the supporters and the opposers tend to blow things out of proportion and that despite the way both sides have focused on every single detail (both positively and negatively), you're maintaining an admirable balance. Except for that whole daydream thing. :wtf: Pretty much everyone agreed that it was a little weird. The E/C fans thought it was cute, but still weird.

The CSI:NY writers have gotten complaints about their relentless focus on the rich and affluent while the poor & middle class folks are left without nearly any decent storylines. Now we're complaining about the same thing. Come on. Take a hint.

Bring back Yelina! Bring back Yelina! Bring back Yelina! I think I've made my point. ;)

Seriously, where HAS Valera been?

I miss Alexx. Any way you can get Khandi to guest star a few more times? Maybe even bring her back if her new show goes under? Pleeeeeeeeease?

And... that's all for now.

Dear Writers,

Please give Rick Stetler more screen time! And please use him in more storylines. And for God's sake, tell Wardrobe to stop dressing him like Bozo after a rough weekend! Seems like in the early years you dressed him in simple suits with plain ties, and he looked professional, like he should have. What's with the loud stripes and paisley? Okay, so his character is a bit of a doofus, but I still cringe when I see the way you dressed him in Cyber-Lebrity! My husband is color-blind, but when he saw that scene, even he said GOOD GOD! WHAT WERE THOSE PEOPLE SMOKING?? David Lee Smith is such a handsome, talented actor, and he is capable of so much more than what you've been giving him to work with.

From the impression I got, Rick Stetler and Horatio have more of a history than just that coveted promotion to Lieutenant. I'd like to see that developed more.

I know money's been tight, but it's been penny-wise and pound-foolish to just have a character say "IAB said...." and then do Rick's job for him. Go ahead and pay David Lee Smith to work his craft. He's worth every penny. If budget is an issue, then cut back on the flash-bang special effects. You didn't use that many in the early years, and the show was much better then. You might think you're saving money now, but in the long run, it will come back to bite you in the you-know-what-where.

I can accept the fact that Rick might be mellowing out, but in "Down to the Wire" he seemed more like a henpecked husband (almost apologizing for pulling Calleigh off the case) than being the enforcer that Internal Affairs is supposed to be. If you really think Rick is outgrowing IAB, then consider changing his role. Have him transfer to another area. Maybe think about escalating the Horatio/Rick rivalry. These two actors seem to work really well together, imho.

Also, your writing of the character is inconsistent. Rick may have been overzealous in his pursuit of Delko's marijuana charges in "Shattered", but Yelina and the black eye was pretty out of character for him. For the most part he really cares. Yes, he seems to have it in for Horatio because of the promotion thing. Okay, maybe he's not the brightest bulb in the chandelier. But to make him a violently abusive jerk that would hit a woman, especially a widowed mother? I think not.

Lastly, please stop covering up his mole? Thanks!

If you do bring Yelina back, please stop mistreating her? Seems like every man she is involved with either hits her, shuns her, or neglects her while getting involved in drugs, all in the name of family. She just ends up sad and with the responsibility of a teenage boy who misses his father. Whether or not it's Horatio, please let her have a good man? It was obvious all through S2 and S3 that she just wanted to be loved by a man. Rick Stetler was nothing more than a stand-in for the man she really wanted. Then she flew right into the arms of her husband, even though I suspect there was a little "dog-in-the-manger" between her and Horatio. That poor woman's been through hell and back. It hardly seems believable that such an otherwise strong woman would be such a dishrag when it came to her love life.

Thanks for listening.

4) EC is already overkill, calm down, show us more eps without mention this relationships. Or better, break up and forget about this!

I agree that the EC is overkill, but I don't think that honestly anyone's going to stop watching if they stay together or if they break up. I might be a little biased, 'cause I am an EC fan, but if they broke up I wouldn't stop watching the show. There's more to it than the relationships. Which is also why there needs to be a little less googly-eyes, and a little more crime-solving!

Dear Writers:

I also agree with the showing less flashy rich people. NY does that too, and they both need to tone it down.

Like I said before, still more Ryan&Natalia. And Frank. I'm glad Ryan's getting this storyline now, but he still needs more. :)

And, I'm going to say it again; Kick Julia Out. I know there are characters that people enjoy hating (Stetler, perhaps?), but I just hate Julia period. She is an annoying excuse for a love interest for Horatio.

Jeez, I'm in a ranty mood today. I should probably say some good things about you guys too:

Well, for the most part, the Eric&Calleigh-ness has been good. I still say you should turn it down a notch though. Maybe a couple of notches.

YAY! For giving Ryan a storyline. Now if Natalia could get something like that too, my life would be complete. :)

Travers is a great addition to the Miami techs.

Tara has been more bearable lately, well done.

Was that.....A Horatio and Calleigh scene last week? Could it be? BRAVO!!! BRAVO!!!

Eh....That's all for now. I know I sound like a negetive nancy, but I really have been enjoying this season. Sometimes.

Love,
Laurie :)

P.S--Could you possibly fix Natalias hair? I know this is out of your hands, but if she looks anything like she did in Flight Risk ever again, I will fly to L.A and fix it myself.

Dear Writers,

I am sure someone has probably said this, but I miss the old Horatio! I watched Kill Zone and Body Count today. I really would like to see the old H back. If you could please return him to the old H, it would be greatly appreciated. I do like him now, but it's just not the same.

LOL

Thanks!

Well said. I miss the old H. The old Calleigh too.

I miss the old H too! The one that doesn't take 10 minutes to complete one sentence ... the one that had more than one facial expression ... the one without a cape! Bring him back!

Dear Writers:

Please have Horatio stop calling Ryan "Mr. Wolfe" and Natalia "Ms. Boa Vista". It's annoying now. He calls everyone else by their first name (with the exception of Speedle whom everyone called Speed rather than Tim cept for maybe Alexx). Why doesn't he call these two by their first names? It bugs the crap out of me. Once in a while is okay, but he never calls them by their first names. And he even called that Samantha av girl "Sam". If she gets called by her first name (and a shortened version at that), why don't Nat and Ry?

I don't stop watching, but i already don't watch many scenes in show and sometimes don't understand some things, cuz i don't look any EC, or Eric moments, i can't look at them anymore. So some parts of investigation i miss everytime.
And i know people who stop watching show because of this romance, sad, but it's more than one-two persons.

Oh my GOD! Thank you for mentioning that. The 'Mr. Wolfe' thing annoys me to no end. The only time I can remember Horatio calling Ryan 'Ryan' was in 'Urban Hellraisers'. I think I squeeled for joy when that happened. :)

he called him Ryan in Urban hellraisers? How did I miss that? Hopefully he'll call him Ryan in tonight's eppy... probably after he figures out what happened to him.

I'm pretty sure Horatio called Ryan,"Ryan" in the episode "Burned" when he asked if there was something he needed or wanted to tell him(don't remember the exact words)this was shortly before he was fired. If there is a reason for Horatio to call him Mr Wolfe, perhaps the writers could let us in on it.

Oh, if they give us any hint as to why the 'Mr.Wolfe' thing happens, I'll take back every bad thing I ever said about them. :)
Love you TPTB!

Horatio called Natalia, "Natalia", in 'Target Specific' (scene when they saw the camera guy in the tree - Horatio says "Natalia, please" to come follow him. It was awesome - there's a first for everything!! :p

Ok, why I'm actually here.

Dear Writers....

Please - the next time you end a scene with Horatio, Eric & a freaking swat team searching for Ryan, make sure to follow up on that!!! :wtf:
I'm sure it was all for dramatic purposes but it completely manipulated the characters, I did not like it, & overall it didn't make Eric or Calleigh look too smart in putting 2 & 2 together when it came to their teammate/friend.
YIKES! Get this team together for once, would ya!!

PS. Thank you for letting Natalia hit the salon, but seriously, she is better than this 3 second-no dialouge garbage, & she is part of this team - start showing it please. ;)

Yes! I second this! What the hell was that about, putting her in with absolutely no dialog and maybe a total of 30 seconds screen time??

That's a major underutilization of her character and, frankly, rather insulting to the audience. We know she's a part of the team. We know she can do more. Don't think you can just slip this past us, like we won't notice.

We noticed.
