I don't mind some angst for D/L. But I always want what's going to make the couple the happiest in the end even if some bad things happen. I don't want either one treated badly by the other. That's when my multi-shipper heart just wants my favorite character to be happy with who ever.

no, triangle was not what i meant.
and about the work thing, if i found out a guy i worked with that i had a crush on had a crush on me too, i would be happy about it, but having feelings for someone you work with, and actually making a move are two different things. lindsay seems the type to go after what she wants, and danny is obviously into her, and if she was really into him and wasn't worried about work, she would have made a move by now.
that's what i think, anyway.
besides, flack isn't the type to get sucked into the whole triangle thing. if it was obvious d/l was going somewhere, he would back off. danny is his best friend, after all. even if it's not going anywhere, flack wouldn't do anything because danny and lindsay so shamelessly flirt with each other, that he's not gonna wanna upset the balance. i don't see a triangle anywhere in the future.

Oh my God - I missed an entire thread! The last time I was here, you had only just started no. 8! Man, you guys are on jet powere roller skates! :lol:
Anyways, sorry I haven't been around much - exams, end of term stuff, school show I'm in went into uber-rehersal and performance mode etc. BUT I'm back, and have brought a nice, looooong one-shot fic as a belated new-thread-warming present. I love the new thread name, btw.
The fic is called Wobegone, and is a essentially a long, rambeling talk between Mac and Danny the night after the season finale in Flack's hospital room. There's lots of D/L-ness, with Danny spewing out his angst about the pretty (shall we say 'rough'?) time he's been having the last month or so. There's also some DnA but mainly in the form of Danny being angst about Aiden, not majorly 'shippy, and hints of SMacked. Enjoy!

I don't ever what?? I let you have your angsty story about Danny and the ants driving a wedge between him and Lindsay. That sounds like angst to me.
There's nothing wrong with some angst. But I'm with Moriel---the lighthearted moments and those fun times---I cherish those!!
As far as a love triangle, I don't really want to see that either. But certainly, if they did sink the D/L ship, I'd probably bounce back with F/L---Flack does seem stable. I don't really want anyone coming between them, at least not right now. I'd really like to see them just getting along and enjoying each other's company.
The thing that I think that might come between Danny and Lindsay, would be pride or stubborness. I could see Danny holding back and not wanting to get too serious---even though he wants to---remember this is the guy that didn't like Mac telling him that he could find 'love' and oh,there's that 'cuddling' thing. I think Danny wants a deep committment, he may just not know how to go about it. Lindsay, on the other hand, could have something from her past that might prevent them from getting together, at least for a while. Right now though, we don't know anything about her past and until we do, there isn't much to go by.

but angst has to be set up, and given the proper fermentation period, and when it's done, you've got to let it settle. angst is a very delicate process. one that this relationship has yet to expierence...

and i'm with you on the danny commitment thing. he's got issues he needs to sort out probably before he could even think about committing to lindsay. and i wanna know why lindsay made that kind of a drastic change of montana to ny. there's bound to be issues behind that.
